I suggest looking at this walkthrough if you are stuck with that:

The classmates riddle is definitely on the difficult side, but I guarantee it is solvable and has only one possible solution. Remember also that names are capitalized, so the passcode is all upcase

Can u give me coordinates maybe

    Ok somehow it works

As long as it works... If you were playing on a server, the owner of the server has to set the spawn point I guess. In single player it should not be necessary to move or teleport.

Weird, you're the only one so far with this problem. Where did you download the map from? Are you trying to play on a server?

i passed the rooftop part but i'm currently stuck in the second floor
i couldn't solve "the hidden ones" riddle i solved the first two parts of it but still guessing about the 3rd one "bring your own water" that's confusing

what hole do you mean i should throw the weight in? i could not find any holes in the corridor

Hey! The "bring your own water" clue is about a cauldron you can find in the same room, in a corner. You have to fill it with at least 1 level of water using a bottle (you can find some water on the starting rooftop).

In the staircase area (rooftop level) you can find a hole at the very end of the storage area, behind the bars. Throw a weight in there.

    Hope it helps!

Having finished my first map as well, I know the struggle. About the goals, I solved it by using advancements. It’s vanilla friendly and doesn’t get in the way if someone actually wants a challenge and figure out everything on their own

I just finished the map, it's been fun.

    First, the good stuff:

    • I liked the idea of the default gear and helmet to have the player appearance match the theme of the map
    • The map design is nice
    • The starry sky with particles is a great idea!

Now, I had a couple of "problems" while playing, mainly:

    1. The general lack of directions: the map is fairly large, and the complete lack of goals other than "figure something out" is a bit too overwhelming
    2. I started with your inventory. Not a big deal, but it’s probably a good idea to clean it before releasing
    3. Is the lantern supposed to light up your surrounding? If it's a mod, you should probably list it here
    4. Some puzzles lack a reason to be solved in a specific way. Why should I put the tavern key in the barrel, for example? Why should I put the jail key in a random hidden barrel to open the doors? This relates to 1, I feel I'm just trying stuff out at random.
    5. I solved the bank puzzle by getting a gold ingot out of an item frame and converting it to a nugget. Only later I found out that I was supposed to get the nugget from the mine

Point 1 is the main problem I had with the map though, the rest is just minor stuff. Good job!

Not sure if this is what you are looking for, but I recently posted an escape room map with a good amount of puzzles to solve: https://www.minecraftforum.net/forums/mapping-and-modding-java-edition/maps/3069546-school-escape

I wanted to try the map, but I start outside, in the middle of the "village" in creative mode. I'm fairly sure from your video it's not supposed to be like this...

    About

School Escape! is a single player "escape room" inspired adventure map, where your goal is to solve a series of puzzles in order to escape form a school building. The map does not require any specific knowledge other than the basic minecraft mechanics, and does not feature any enemies nor combat challenges, it's all about solving puzzles and riddles

    Requirements

    Required:

    - Minecraft Java edition, version >= 1.16.5

    Optional:

    - Lithos texture pack (mainly for eye candy and immersion, the map has been built on top of this)

    - Optifine (suggested)

    Rules

    - Play in adventure mode

    - Brightness set to 50%

    - Command blocks must be enabled

    - Use either Lithos texture pack (link above) or vanilla

    Hints

    - Read every book

    - Think logically, there is no pure trial and error

    - Check your advancements if you are stuck

Location of the pieces of paper (try to find them yourself first!):

    - Maintenance room, climb the ladder and look around

    - Abandoned room, solve "the hidden ones" riddle

    - Study room, on a bookshelf

    - Infirmary, in a shulker box

    - Classroom, on a bookshelf

    - Rooftop 1, behind a grindstone

    - Rooftop 2, look for a almost full composter

    - Rooftop corridor, throw a weight in the hole

posted a message on [Playtest] Looking for playtesters for an upcoming school themed escape map

    Hi everyone!

I'm nearing the completion of an escape adventure map, and I'd like for a few players to test it to correct eventual bugs or difficulty balancing problems, as well as have a rough idea of the time required to finish it.

If anyone is interested in helping me out with this final step I'd really appreciate it. The idea though is just to have a fun experience, that's the whole point of this project, so no stress at all.

    Cheers.

posted a message on How to create a skyblock map with biomes

Does anyone know a good way to create a skyblock map from scratch? I found some (old) guides suggesting to create a superflat void world, but the problem with that is the biome of the whole map is set to the void, while the original skyblock still had different biomes for different (empty) areas that could be used to your advantage (mob farms etc...).

    Any ideas?

Why should we accept you? : I used to play a lot on vanilla servers since the earliest versions of the game, so I hopefully know what to expect and how to behave in order to have fun and build a friendly relationship with others on the server.
What can you add to the server? : I'm not up to date with the latest versions, but I definitely know my way around. I like building stuff that looks good, and know some basic redstone.
Describe your personality (Doesn't affect application) : Friendly and discreet
Is building/redstone a good Minecraft trait that you have? Explain why you believe so or send an image of one of your builds/redstone. If not what is your best trait and why you believe it is relevant in this server? : Redstone, I just know the basics, but I love building. As said I'm a bit outdated in terms of the latest features, but here's a link to some of my stuff https://homunculus84.deviantart.com
How much time will you be willing to contribute a week? : I work on weekdays but I'll generally be on daily in the evenings
What is your Discord? : Homunculus84
Have you been kicked or banned from a server? (If so why?) No
