Is there a way to make Liquid Death work in a dispenser? will that be added in future? so far all it's done for me is spit the bucket of liquid death back out as an item. Conversely I've also tried placing an empty bucket in the dispenser and then trying to get it to pick up the liquid death to see if it would work that way, but no dice.

I can't promise this will work (because it's the one TC item I still haven't used), but maybe the arcane spa will do what you want. Or just a piston floodgate? I dunno.

So, i don't know if im being too noobish, but how can i use golems for auto planting sapplings? The chopper seal does not do that automatically, and the use seal don't have a targeting mechanic...

Put a "use" seal face-up, directly on the dirt. As far as I can tell, it makes the golems right-click the block behind the seal, using whatever item they have in hand.

The top (lava bit) actually counts as an inventory now so you can just place a hopper feeding into it and let the golem place stuff into the hopper. In theory you could let the golem put stuff directly into the furnace, but you might need to prevent them from falling in somehow.

Man, I was about to suggest something like that and I come back to find out it's already a thing. The dev thinks of everything.

I kinda want to make a whole automated golem assembly line just so that golems falling into the furnace is a feature instead of a bug.

I hope I'm just missing it, but is there a way to have a golem drop items into empty space? I used to use the Empty seal for that to load my furnace. Empty only takes out of an inventory, Collect has to be on an inventory, and Use will place a block, not drop it.

You might have to use an automatic dispenser for now.

    Flying carpet VS dragon?

You're right, it's not even a contest. Get those dragons out of here.

I wouldn't think taking notes would work. when you are under the influence of the warp you view the world from another perspective. Take the warp away and you will once again be unable to understand the context of your notes as gaining warp was what allowed you to understand it in the first place.

I dunno, we seem to be pretty good at taking the eldritch epiphany (read: page of cthuvian brain-vomit) and spinning that off into several new functional inventions.

Is there any way to destroy a node anymore? I seem to recall they used to be destructible but I can't seem to even target them at all.

The only non-cheaty way I've found is to merge it so that you have a big pure node, then (excruciatingly slowly) kill it with flux. Although turning it pure usually fixes the original problem anyway.

I have a question regarding eldritch obelisks and crimson cultists. If I kill all the clerics and knights around an obelisk, will they ever respawn there or do I have to find another obelisk in order to obtain full sets of their armours and the elusive crimson blade? I also like the ability to farm void seeds from them...

The clerics don't respawn, and the clerics' standing there and channeling is what causes the knights to spawn. You're going to have to find another one.

I imagine that I might make most of them fairly obvious. At worst they
might be vague. eg. "scan several things capable of flight" For some stuff there could be exceptions, but that will probably be lategame stuff.

I remember ages ago when knowledge fragments could be crafted into reserach notes. Seems as good a place as any to hide a few quest hints. Not fully-formed research, just enough to tell you that "among the faded scribbles, you can make out a... bird- no, a bat?"

a quick check of my thaumometer showed the flux receding fairly quickly so I figured I got lucky.

That's actually because taint consumes flux when it spreads. If your flux is suddenly dropping a lot faster than normal, it means you got something growing up on the surface.

My new favorite thing in thaumcraft is firing a whole bunch of primal focus shots just up into the air. Even though the way they travel is kind of weird ( the all end up going only one of 2 directions) its beautiful to see those little glowing rainbow balls slowly floating down from the sky and destroying everything.

Try launching a bunch into the ocean. You'll be hearing occasional explosions for hours.

They really are something special, but can somebody explain the Crimson mage that just randomly popped out of a portal before me in a desert and attacked me without warning? I was running away, but I think half the cult came out of that portal.

I've run into one of those before too (also in the desert, now I wonder if that's important). I dumped liquid death down the hillside and collected some free loot. As far as I can tell it just spawns enemies until you kill it or it times out.

It's already pretty expensive to break in, I'd really rather not have to pay 120 levels too.

Dispenser was good tip, but still nothing happened.

I'm not positive but I think you need to scan

    a dispenser and a bow

to unlock the second branch of golemancy.

Also, does anyone know if Glyphed Stone can be used for anything? It has those floating question marks around it but scanning it doesn't reveal anything.

Do baubles and armor with vis discounts affect casting costs in regards to using foci? What are the properties of unstable nodes? What is the most efficient or safest way to gain a lot of warp?

I would also like to see some sort of external indication on essentia tubes and alembics to see how much essentia is in them and what kind. Using an essentia resonator all over my piping system just to find where the clog is tends to be no fun and all work for little reward. A small update for just this would make a lovely christmas present. :D

Yes, armor/baubles reduce your casting costs. Stacking Frugal on top of that and using a thaumium-capped wand can get you down to ~20% of the base cost.
Unstable nodes occasionally change from one aspect to another. "Unstable" sounds bad but it's actually kinda useful to have a node that can produce every type of vis.
When I need lots of warp, I just run around the countryside eating brains. Bring your traveler's boots, sprint+jump everywhere, fill out a map or something to make it less boring.

Remember when full pipes used to drip vis? That'd be a neat way to show where the clog is.
