I am pretty sure this is more OP than my suggestion. Controlling other players? wtf? Imagine you are in PVP and BAM fright potion, you lose. Also, zombies and skeletons basically don't have brains and tend not to be frightened by much.

The rule for mobs in Minecraft is generally irl mobs are passive. Imaginary mobs are the bad ones, such as zombies and creepers.

Maybe a new ore considering with 256 depth you would double the depth. But i dont think new stone that requires diamond to mine would be very productive.

Basically that's what I was trying to explain above. Doubling the height limit would work fine with almost any new computer. (Excluding that $300 notebook you own)

Bigger is not always better. That's why that tiny blocks mod became so popular.

I really don't think increasing the world height by 72 blocks would substantially increase lag. Just look at the vertical chunks mod, you can go 10,000 blocks high and the game doesn't lag at all.

In this case, bigger is better.

I doubt that will be part of 1.2. Remeber these are just the weekly snapshots, it will improve every time.

It isn't a red cow, it's a mooshroom. Notch doesn't expect you to believe it's normal either, they spawn on mushroom idlands in the middle of the sea.

Trust me, bigger isn't always better. Especially in computer programs.

All indie games have messy programming. Notch admitted himself on his blog somewhere that he is a cavalier programmer. The code is messy and inefficient. Same thing used to happen at Facebook when Zuckerberg did most of the coding. Jeb made minor efficiency improvements to the code and mentioned raising the world height.

In Minecraft, bigger is always better.

Please use the search function in feature, or in this case, look at the thread two below this one. Copying topics to boost your postcount is't a good idea. Come up with original ideas in future please.

OT: Jeb should fix Notchs messy programming, and make the world height 200, not 128
