The teacher whacks Kylar on the back of the head with a ruler. "Pay attention please." She then moves over to Dusk. "Same for you." She says, rapping the ruler on his desk, before moving back to the front of class and saying something about narrative devices and assigned reading. Some book called 'The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy'.

    ~Wade~

Wade stepped off the table. "Fine then, class it his." He murmured, rolling his eyes. He began chewing on the bacon strips as he walked to class, struggling to remember what room he needed to go to. Eventually ending up at the correct room, he slipped inside, taking a seat near the wall just in time to see Kylar get whacked by the teacher he probably knew. Ms Farroway or something. Wade didn't really remember. Or care much, for that matter. Kicking his feet up on the desk, Wade began to hum songs to himself, careful to look like he was actually listening to the teacher.

    ~Wade~

"Yeah look, I'm all for shenanigans and escapades, but it'll have to do another time." With that, Wade leapt up on the table, at least a dozen bacon strips in his hands. "To anywhere but class!" He yelled, motioning for the others assembled to follow him as he walked away and out the door.

[For those who DO attend class:

A young woman of roughly 25 years teaches English. Today, the class is doing some simple revision on basic English and it's principles.]

    ~Azarias~

Azarias lazily rose from his chair, that sweet, sweet chair. Goodbye, sweet chair, my living hath improved simply for knowing thee, He thought to himself. As he began to leave the commons room, he began to hear the hubbub in the other room. The same room from earlier. Turning his head, Azarias saw the same two girls running about, panicking, though this time joined by a few males. Knowing nothing of why this might be strange, or why this might not be strange, Azarias simply chalked it up to weird normal people stuff. Going so far as to ignore everything they were saying in it's entirety, Azarias began his walk towards the magical land of food. And more food. The point was, food.

At the door, he was greeted by one of his few familiar faces. The senior moon dorm president, Emma. Days other adopted child. Though only two years older than Azarias, their circumstances meant that she was in her second-to last year. She was a an arguably tall girl, a slim brunette with purple eyes. Her resemblance to her non-biological father was frightening. "Hey, Azarias!" She said in that annoyingly blissful way of hers. It was almost as bad as Days was when he was excited. "Hello, Emma." He said. Best get away from her as quickly as possible, before she start asking him questions again. "So how are you enjoying the year so far?" She asked. Damn, there goes that plan. "I haven't even had classes yet." Azarias said as blankly as possible. Emma nodded, as if this somehow meant something deeper to her. Before she could get another word in, Azarias mumbled something about important business and not being able to come to the phone right now, so he best be off, at which point he erupted into full-sprint mode, waving goodbye and slamming through the doors to the grand hall.

His 'sister' wasn't all that bad, but she was much too happy for the way he felt. Not to mention, she always carried questions which somehow ended up as inquiries into his time at the facility, something he preferred not to relive. He sat down at one of the grand tables, where he immediately began to scoff down bacon and pancakes in a futile attempt to distract himself.

Having already consumed two eggs, Wade thoughtfully munches on some bacon while his new compatriots mill about. Goddamn, that kid can eat. He though, smiling at Diz as he scoffed down food as if there was no tomorrow. "Save some for everybody else, yeah?" He said, half to himself. Damn, Wade had missed bacon. He shoved a bit more bacon into his mouth, attempting to eat as much of it as humanly possible.

    8:30 PM

The bell tolls, and immediately most of the younger students clear out. Some of the older kids stay behind, since their classes start slightly later.

((*cough* *cough* Azarias is lazing about in the commons room still.))

((Diz's spider senses were a tingling.))

    8:15 AM

"Welcome." A voice, slick as silver, sweet as honey, yet as commanding and authoritative as a war general, spoke out over the speakers. "Firstly, allow me to state who I am." The man said. Now that every-bodies attention was focused on the man, it was clear to see that he was middle aged, somewhere in his later forties or early fifties, with shoulder length blond hair and glasses. Though he didn't appear to be particularly old at first glance, he did have a couple of obvious wrinkles on his face. His blue eyes shimmered, visible even to the far reaches of the room. He also has a distinct lack of facial hair. "My name, is Ryan Cidium. I am the vice principal of this honourable and well established school. The head-master, Cyrus Days, sends his condolences. He would very much have liked to be here to greet you all, but is unfortunately away on pressing business." He paused for a moment to take a sip of water from a plastic bottle. It is also at this time that people begin to notice food has been placed on the tables. Great plates of pancakes, eggs, fruits, bacon, cereals, oats, and more bacon line the tables. A few people begin eating, though most use proper manners.

"He assures me that said matters were very pressing and required his immediate attention. Secondly, allow me to welcome you all to the school. For many of you, this is your first year at the academy. I cannot express how excited we are that you all accepted your invitations to the academy. Furthermore, thank you to all those of previous years who have chosen to stay. I am aware that for some, staying at this academy can be mentally, physically, & emotionally taxing." A few of the older students laugh and whisper to each other in the hushed tones of secrets. "But I promise, stick with us and you'll come out better for it." He pauses again, giving a few of the quicker students time to plate their food and eat a few mouthfuls.

"Thirdly, allow me to explain to the new students, and remind the old students, of what we expect from you, and what to expect from us, in the coming years. As a student of our school, you are a representative of what we stand for; Discipline, honour, and solidarity. You are expected to uphold these principles, even when outside the protection of these walls. If anybody is found to, putting it bluntly, be a firetrucking a-hole (use your imagination), you will face severe consequences. Also, on the mentioning of the walls...." He pauses again to sip from his bottle. "DO NOT LEAVE THE WALLS AFTER 8 PM!" He shouts.

Recollecting himself, Ryan continues; "As the new students will have realised, hopefully, by now, each year level has a different coloured armband. You are all blue, presently. Second years are lime, thirds are amber, fourth orange, fifth red, and the senior most students are royal purple. Anybody below yellow is not allowed in the kitchen area at any time, unless supervised by a student council member or staff, or they have been given specific instructions. All below orange must always follow curfew times and are only allowed out in the town during certain times, while only reds and purples are allowed to be in dorm rooms of the opposite gender."

"Finally, there are two events in the upcoming days. In two days time, there will be an election to decide on the junior sun dorm president. This has been the habit of the school for fifteen years now, and will be based on straight-up highest votes. The other event is the informal dance, also in two nights time. For this dance you do not require a partner, and it is informal wear. Now you may all eat." The headmaster concluded. "And welcome to Half Moon Academy." He said, to much enthusiasm and applause, though mainly from the older students.

    ((YES. Indeed they are, @Solawind.))

    ~Wade~

What an interesting boy, Wade thought. So very out of place. A strange man in a strange land. Not at all unlike Wade himself. But Wade adapted quickly. The boys comment about his grandfather was interesting. Normally not anything worth note, but Wade understood that mad men always held the greatest secrets. Dusk was certainly obsessed with Death. Wade was almost tempted to make a drinking game out of it. Pity he hadn't any whiskey on hand. And then the voice of his acquaintance magicked itself behind him. "Amici mei! Indeed I would." He said, arching his neck to see his comrade. "My name is Wade. Wade Hosytch."

While awaiting a response, he spoke again to to Dusk. "Death ends when life is no more." Noticing the aim of Dusk's gaze, he quickly pieced together that the Sandless object was the watch. "Ah. The object does not measure time in such a linear way. It tells hours, as one might look at the sun. But it loops." He says. "Most of it is new to me as well, amici mei. A fantastical world awaits, I imagine." He muses.

    ~Wade~

Wade pushed through the grand doors to the main building, his companion beside him. It was a brief walk down to the grand hall, but it felt noticeably longer with nobody out in the halls. There was still a few minutes before the meeting would actually begin, but getting in a bit earlier would ensure better picks at breakfast. Entering the hall, Wade was surprised to see relatively large numbers present in the hall, about half of the first two year levels. Wade, unlike most, had prior knowledge that the further year levels started a a couple of hours later, though he presumed that they would still be present at the meeting. Probably just being lazy.

Scanning the room, Wade immediately picked out the strangest person and seated himself next to them. This method on deciding where to sit landed him next to a gray-haired boy who sat strangely, talked to himself, and had an aura of.... death. Wade, without checking to see if Kylar had followed him, held out his hand to the boy and spoke curtly. "Hello there."
