I generally agree with Mafi. Long posts are great and all, but forcing people to make them isn't. I myself struggle to flesh out paragraphs, preferring to get straight to the point, though I do find that as I play more D&D and do more RPing in general, I'm able to make far more out of much smaller periods of IC time.

The way I've always done it is simply having standards: if you're clearly putting no effort into your posts, you're out. It's alright to occasionally post something brief just to keep things moving, but continuously failing to do anything of real interest wastes everybody's time.

I fear I'm not being entirely clear, but assume you'll understand my basic point. I'll blame it on my time of writing being 3 AM.

Firstly, this roleplay has been dead since 2013. Please, PLEASE check the timestamps on posts.

Secondly, the roleplaying (would be) done right here. You are in the rather decrepit FORUM ROLEPLAYING section.

Funnily enough you can't apply for an RP that died two years ago.

    Check timestamps, people.

Supeehero RP's can be plenty interesting. Saying there isn't much you can do with them just misses the point of RPing. Be creative. Maybe all the superheroes are slowly dying as a result of their powers. Maybe it's a world ruled by supervillains.

The whole point of making an RP is to display creativity. Use that instead of thinking in cliches.

Also generally speaking if you don't have any ideas for an RP, don't bother making one. 9/10 it'll be awful.

((Yeah, holidays are kind of a lie in year 12. I have to go to school tomorrow for a holiday class. On the bright side, 18 in a few days.))

((Additionally, can everybody just count their kills real quick so I can get a nice estimate? Original count was:

    30ish Vampires

    10 Elf warmasters

    5 Draconian Mercs

    3 Akechis

    17 Hanzos.

    I killed 2 Warmasters, 1 Akechi, 1 Hanzo and roughly 4 vampires.))

While the remaining Hanzos continue to erratically run about, expertly weaving in and out of cover, the fleshier enemies are slowly moving inwards towards the train, forming a tight wall, each man covering the next. with the small metal spike they previously titled 'Khan' sitting behind them, somewhat protected by both bodies and metal fragments.

    Kingsley

King finally manages to get the upper hand in his duel, slashing the War-masters wrist and forcing him to drop one blade. King smiles as his opponent struggles to keep up with his single blade. After only a few seconds, King is able to drive his Wakizashi into his opponents gut. "Rest." His Katana then deftly slides between the Elf's breastplates, piercing his heart.

Suddenly, Kingsley is sent flying sideways as a Draconian shoulder-rams him. Dazed, King scrambles to his feet just in time to avoid another blow. His allies taking the majority of the heat, King is able to avoid being shot as he leaps at the Draconian, narrowly missing contact with it's claws as he punches it in the snout, sending it rearing back. King rolls to the side, draws his crossbow. The Draconian turns. King loads. The Draconian steps forwards. King leaps backwards, breathes in. Aims. Breathes out, fires. He quickly re-attaches the crossbow to his back so he can pick up his blades. The Draconian clutches an automatic firearm in one hand. King leaps at the Draconian again, using his blades to keep its arms away from him as he smashes his head forward. They both reel back, though only the Draconian falls over. Kingsley uses the opportunity, kicks the Draconians gun hand, drops his Katana, picks up the gun, fires at the Draconian's face. Very few bullets were left in the clip, but it was enough. The Draconian falls forward onto King's waiting blade.

He scoops up his Katana and runs at a retreating pair of vampires. Slices them open easily. Their stunned expressions make it clear they had no idea he was coming. He turns, briefly glimpses the sheer carnage his party is causing, as well as the newcomer(s? Can't remember). A smile spreads across his lips. He has missed this kind of battle.

King slumps forwards as a bullet penetrates his side. A Hanzo unit slides past him, gun raised. "Susanoo." A swordsman appears, his body flowing and shimmering like water. He sweeps forwards, guarding King from further attack. The Hanzo fights back, blasting the swordsman, who merely flinches. With one great sweep of his blade, the swordsman severs the robots arm. The Hanzo continues to fight back, immediately picking up the gun with it's undamaged arm and returning fire, circling the swordsman.

For a moment, it appears as if the robot is winning. The swordsman slowly loses ground. But then it dives forwards, and with a single slice cuts off the robots legs. It topples over, and does the only thing it can. It explodes. The swordsman survives, but King sends it away regardless. He may need him later, and even spirits take time to recover. King gets up, small flames lapping at his wound, cauterizing it. With some effort, he manages to shrink back to the trees, where he can pick off the stragglers while he regains his strength.

    ((Kill count: 3 Warmasters, 1 Akechi, 1 Draconian, 6 vampires, 2 Hanzos))

    ((Zeke, accepted))

((Also, for everybody's sake, these aren't Warforged as they lack independent thought.))

The vampires fan out, creating a 360 degree watch of the area. "Stay alert!" One of the warmasters bellows, drawing a longsword. "Activate Khan!" At this request, one of the vampires stabs a metal spike into the ground. After pressing a few buttons, all the nearby robots activate fully, spurring themselves into action. While the Akechi's remain stationary, shooting at the group from afar, the Hanzo's immediately begin running about, taking cover and weaving through fire. "Khan is active!" The rest of warmasters begin shouting orders as the vampires finally gather their wits and begin counter-attacking. Bullets and grenades go flying into the trees.

    Kingsley

King watches as his allies spur into battle. It seems his assessments were correct. Powerful friends indeed. Perhaps it was time to show his own skill. Kingsley draws both his blades and steps out of the trees. "You wll give me your honour in blood." He declares. Suddenly, he bursts forward, dashing madly at the nearest of the Hanzo's. It spots him and begins firing, but King continues his mad dash, creating a barrier of fire before himself, the bullets thunking against him like duds. At the last moment, he leaps over his prey, sticking his Wakizashi in it's face plate and holding it there. The robot struggles, attempt to break free, but King manages to hold on. "Shisa."

Leaping forward from a ring of flame, a cream-furred dog wreathed in fire appears. The dog jumps into the robot, melting it's core components. The Hanzo falls to the ground as King withdraws his blade. The small dog begins running, charging at a small group of vampires, while King heads in the opposite direction.

With a few swift strokes of his blades, the vampires fall, bullets whirring around him. One of the Akechi's turns it's attention to him. Shisa is off to the side, leaping at the head of a vampire while it screams in agony from the flames lapping at it's face. Kingsley thrusts his hand forward. "Oni." Shisa burns away as a new creature appears, a large, red skinned beast with menacing fangs. It lumbers forward and with a single swing of it's mighty cleaver, crushes the Akechi's head. The Oni steps backwards, and then takes another swing, this time crushing the Akechi's chaingun. It swings again, tak off the Akechi's claw. And with a final swing, it flattens the robot entirely. King desummons the robot.

Kingsley swings around, narrowly deflecting a strike from one of the Warmasters. The Warmaster swings again, and King spins, bringing both of his blades into the Warmasters, sending him reeling. Quickly, King steps forward, stabbing the Warmaster in the chest, barely clipping his breastplate. King ducks under another swing, bringing his blade up into the Warmaster. Enraged, the Warmaster comes at him again, and they engage in a game of parries and blocks.

From the side, another Warmaster attempts to stab King in the gut. He barely manages to avoid the two. "You dare interrupt our battle?" He jumps forward, putting his hand in front of the new Warmaster, a gust of brilliant white flames bursts from his hand while the Warmaster screams. The smell of charred flesh floods the air as King returns to his opponent, the Warmaster falling to the ground, his face completely charred and peeled, bones visible underneath the blackened mess that was once previously flesh.

With a final, upwards stroke, King brings his blade through his opponents chin, piercing their brain and killing them. King pulls out his blade, throwing himself at the next Warmaster as a warrior drenched by water appears beside him.

((EDIT: Ninjas. Never expect the Ninja's.))

Might join later if this goes somewhere interesting, but quick question:

Why exactly aren't shinies allowed? They aren't physically better than normal pokemon in any way, except (excuse me if I'm wrong) a slight EVE difference.

If you aren't allowing shinies, then what's the point of an appearance section?

    -1 Rocket launcher, 3 miniguns, 1 flamethrower, 1 claw.

17x Vandheim 'Hanzo V' model robots

    -Incredibly complex AI

-All units are linked, allowing perfect co-ordination

    -Medium armour

    -Incredibly mobile

    -2 Drakov 9 Sniper rifles, 15 MOA95 Assault Rifles

Branwick's assessment is correct. However, in the other train carriages there appears to be more robots, though they are inactive.

    Enemy is at 40 metres.

<Warning> At this distance it is likely that the enemy is already suspicious of your presence. Their enhanced senses will likely give away your position momentarily.

    Kinglsey

King looked over the team again. The Warforged was a newer model than King was used to. In Seijita, there were far fewer Warforged than the rest of the world (an already limited number). Those who he had seen, however, had all proven effective combatants. But King found it hard to properly assess such a machine.

The assassin-y garbed warrior sounded and appeared competent. King knew of Conjuration magic and it's uses. It was, on occasion, a very powerful form of magic. But what interested him more was Reno's skills in physical combat. To hold such a high position as he claimed to have, he must be skilled with the blade.

The young man with the white hair interested him the most. The Warforged would have physical restraints, Reno was just another soldier, but this boy was a wild card. What could he do? What was he? King wasn't entirely sure he really wanted to know.

And Branwick. The white knight. Though who looked like an ordinary, albeit knight, King knew the tales. This man radiated power, and it was said that his blade had killed countless men, among other things. What King wouldn't do for a chance to fight this man.

There was also the two who had entered the bar as they left. Hopefully more allies. A shame they were late.

    Branwick

Branwick stops moving. "We're here." The group has reached the edge of a clearing, through the trees lies a stopped train. Surrounding the train are at least thirty vampires, five draconian mercenaries and ten elven war-masters. They are all heavily armored, and carrying fresh Vandheim weapons, ranging from rifles to pistols and shotguns, painted in the customary black and gold of Vandheim. Accompanying them are around 20 Vandheim robots, three of which are heavy built and equipped with mini-guns.

The other seventeen robots are about the size of an average man, and are all wielding assault rifles. Branwick steps back. "You want to be Phari? Show me what you've got."
