You know what might be cool? A deathban mod. Give a little extra meaning to those careless slips into lava. Not long, maybe just a couple days. I'd vote for it.

Hmm, I've installed this just fine before, but this time around my meta-inf folder was missing. Already deleted? IDK, but I wasn't able to delete it since it wasnt in my minecraft jar. Now the mod doesn't work. Anyone got an tips?
Back in the previous version (1.3.01? or something) I downloaded a mod that, when you opened your inventory, gave you a selection of every type of block in the game. You could then give yourself whatever you wanted. It was really convenient and nice to have.
I right-clicked minecraft.jar and clicked "7-zip" and then "open archive". This shows me all the files, and I can delete them, but it won't let me copy new files into the archive. What am I doing wrong?

Ok cool, because I just made an "easy access shaft" from the top of my mountain base all the way down to bedrock. Now I gotta figure out how to put 27 squares of water at the bottom...
