Swervish, my darling: many a night I sat waiting for you to update the Neucshwanstein Project. But now, you're back! You have gotten me back to lurking this dreaded place because now I have hope that cool people still exist! Let it be known that I stopped playing a Minecraft for a while after you stopped updating because I didn't feel inspired to do cool things by your awesome Neucshwanstein Project. I cannot wait to feel inspired again by what is going to be another awesome job by your patient, patient mind.
On to the questions: I like mods that don't break immersion. Are all of your mods good for that? I hate mods like buildcraft and industrial craft but I love mods like backpacks and rei's minimap. It seems that your mod list is pretty awesome and I need to know if there's any that break immersion to the game.
Hey Swervish, I'd just like you to clarify something for me.
Can you go over in detail how you did that awesome stair mine in your first post? I really like it and would appreciate a reply. Thanks!
It should be where if you have survival mode enabled with super flat, it should spawn trees and rare ores, kind of like skew the ore distribution down to 5 levels instead of 64. I think it could work and be very interesting. Above ground dungeons, first layer is grass, the rest is stone and then bedrock. Castles instead of strongholds etc. Hell, this would be a pretty cool mod, lol!
Before people say that infinity is OP, bows now have uses, so it's technically not infinite. I guarantee that if bows didn't have uses, the enchantment wouldn't be here today.
As you can see, it is in a slime spawning chunk according to the minimap mod, I am within layers 0 and 16, I hollowed out the entire chunk and it is 5 blocks high, I filled in any cave in this chunk below level 17 with cobble so they could only spawn on the pad, yet I have still not gotten one to spawn. This is the first time I have made a slime spawning pad so I might be doing it completely wrong so could someone tell me why I am not getting any slimes? We are in desperate need of sticky pistons on the server I play on!
Also note: I'm on 1.9 Pre-Release 4 if that changes anything
Thanks for the help!
Protip: to get things to spawn there, move at least 24 blocks away. When you come back, you should have some slimes in there!
I don't understand the dull point which is this thread... use all of them.. worlds don't have to have specific foods being used in them. You could even go to peaceful, and not need any food!
Today, because of you, I have started a new world and recorded the happenings throughout. It's only 3 days long so far, but I like to think I've done a good job. Here goes:
Diary Entry : Day 1
For the life of me, I could not find any coal! This is unusual, however. Being an expert in mining, there should have been enough coal to go around, but alas, none could be found. I checked the map that my buddy gave me. There's now for miles around. I stumbled upon a cave, and after killing two creepers (one of them blew up) and a spider, I finally amassed my first amount of coal! But as it was getting dark outside, I had to set up camp in this damp, unlit cave...
Entry #2 January 2, 1 K.J.
I awoke suddenly as sunlight beamed through the little hole I left in the wall for lookout purposes. Strangely, not a single monster woke me through the long night. The only thing peculiar that night, is that I had a strange dream. A god talking to me, telling me where to go on this abandoned planet. "Travel North-east!" he said, "You will find an abundance of trees and coal, and above all, mountains, to which you will build your first civilization." Then it gets even weirder. "You have strange powers!" he proclaimed. Then I awoke. So naturally, I went northeast, and what did I find? I large pine forest nestled in a canyon between four mountains. On the way there, I also found about 40 peices of coal! Enough for 160 torches! As the day was ending, I started to carve my home into a side of the mountain. It's small right now, but I have to go. I'm starting to hear monsters outside!

Just so you know, "K.J." means "Kuminos Jahillos" which translates to "Time of the Gods" in English. It is in the language of the gods.
Day 3. I explored a small cave, which in total spread my coal welath significantly. The other end of this short cave opened into a clearing of a pine forest with waterfalls on either side. Right then, my Mp3 player's (which was broken before this momemt) started playing a beautiful song. This must be the work of the gods themselves, because nothing else I've ever seen has ever been so beautiful as this. I ended the day with chopping down a few more trees, making a hoe, and planting some seeds I have picked off of a few plants. Also, the gods have told me how to make an infinite water spring. Truly a rare thing if ever this world becomes populated. Speaking of which, I've seen some men. Well, I'm not sure if they're men or not. Tall, slender creatures they are, but I can only catch a sillhouette of them before I have to go back inside to sleep.
*EDIT*
If you guys want screenshots, I will happily supply. They might explain some things about what I'm saying, like the "expert miner" and the Mp3 player. ( The moon is Earth)
