If the microtrasactions ever find their way onto Java edition, I solemnly swear I will erase every aspect of this game from my hard drive.
Amen. -

Honestly, it's a shame that the main forum for Minecraft that was once official has become so degraded. I'm not quite sure what this community will use as a replacement.
I just read AugiteSoul's post. Everything in my mind summed up perfectly, especially the last two sentences.

I was wondering, with the continual decline of forum quality over the past year, what would eventually be the reason I would quit posting altogether.
Gotta say, I didn't expect this one.
Please don't, your posts are extremely witty and that's why I'm following you. -

I was about to feel so bad for those who have not linked/decided not to link, as I thought their accounts would be deleted. Thankfully, the Twitch Merge FAQ proved me wrong.

The price is great except for the fact Java Edition costs $27 and is far superior in many ways.

Fourth bulletpoint. Click the link, then scroll down and click 'BUY NOW'. Then click your region and it will take you to the merchandise. You will notice that the only two shirt sizes are boys' and men's.

Well for me when i see these textures they do seem a bit blurrier then the old regular minecraft and yeah there's ((((effort)))) but I still don't get the point of trying to make 16x textures more detailed or different when they are already just fine how they are and that........... NO EVER COMPLAINED ABOUT THE TEXTURES WE HAVE NOW.
They aren't currently united in one style of art because different people made different textures. Now we're assigning one person to redo all of the textures. -

That might have offended him. You're making it sound like all he's doing is using a simple blur effect, but he's clearly putting more effort into it than that. -

Don't worry about the cobblestone, it's being edited. If you dislike the new textures, feel free to use a resource pack.
What I'm concerned about is that we've had three week recap articles with no article in between.

Does no one remember the fact that the Phantoms were added because the community voted them in over three other mobs?
I personally have no issue with them.
^ This. Any time you're building, just bring a bed, and when it gets night time, lay in it for a second and then hop right out. If you do that consistently, then they should never spawn.

I'm interested in a popular survival map last updated for 1.2.5, and, as such, I'd like to use that version; however, I'm aware it's recommended that players create a separate directory before using especially older versions. I wanted to know if 1.2.5 is old enough for a new directory to be suggested, and, if so, how to create said directory.

I believe that would explain it.

Maybe this should be in a mod section...not sure. If so, could a staff member please move it? Thank you! ^-^
I always have a hankering to start a singleplayer survival, but when I do, I eventually delete it. I'm always wanting to do less multiplayer and more singleplayer, as that's the actual game, but I'm always winding up bored. I'm not a good builder and I'm not creative, so that's most of the survival aspect gone. Sure, there's the Ender Dragon and the Wither to kill if I'm looking for PvP, but in my opinion, it takes far too long to reach them for it to be worth it. Spoiler below to hear me whine about said issue.
I have to spend ages mining for diamonds and then hoping to get the correct enchantments. I also have to go around killing Endermen, and half of the time one won't drop an Ender Pearl. Then I have to brew potions and kill Blazes to turn the Ender Pearls into Eyes of Ender. Then I find the stronghold, and when I'm ready to kill the dragon, she knocks me into the air and I'm dead, only to have lost all the progress I made.
Killing Wither Skeletons for their skulls is no fun, either, and the only reward is a glowy thing which I have to mine tons and tons of resources for, only to have it give me a potion effect of my choice.
The main point of this thread is that I want to know of a few mods that will (hopefully) make me actually create a survival world, have a good time with it, and never delete it unless I drop dead in lava along with all of my items. I've tried using Biomes O' Plenty, but it was nearly impossible to find caves unless I was in a vanilla biome. The biomes were gorgeous, though.
I have tried Hexxit before, but I'm using a business PC and it's about a constant 20 FPS, even with fast graphics, clouds turned off, and render distance at 8. I figure OptiFine would help, but I do believe I've tried it in the past and it didn't do anything. Aside from all that, the main problem is that there wasn't a sprint key yet.
The version doesn't really matter, anything 1.7.2 and up would be wonderful (I neeeed that sprint key). Thanks to those who have taken the time to read this thread!

More detail is unnecessary. He said it would be a horse equivalent of the Killer Bunny, so 8 armor points, different attack strength depending on difficulty mode, red eyes, hops around and att-- wait
Exactly what Mastermined said. There is no need for this.

I haven't the game, but I'd imagine one would possess the ability to alter the location in which a world would be stored.

This sounds better as a small mod.

Why would you...?
I'm not exactly sure if one can fix that.

Apparently it's an adventure map.
