not sure if pahimar would like me pointing this mod out but someone has made an energy condenser like mod http://www.minecraft...ion-111-stable/
Why wouldn't he? If anything that'll stop people from asking to add it back in or something.

You mean the OP that says "Metal parts, including iron, have to be made with metal casts and the Smeltery. Casts are crafted by pouring Aluminum Brass/Gold on a tool part." which I clearly read before making my post? If you had bother to read the post you quoted, you would notice that I mention that I cannot get a *CAST* made. A cast. To make a tool part, because I know the smelter needs to be used in order to generate a cast, and that it can't be crafted on a table, only wood and stone can.

The problem isn't me not reading the OP. It's you not reading the post you are replying to, and coming off like a condescending child.

Yeah, I can't seem to make plate casts for some reason. Everything else works. Does Gold not work to create plate casts?
You need 1 Gold Ore or two ingots to make a cast with gold.

Just because some people don't seem to read what's in the books, I'm going to copy what "Mighty Smelting" says, word for word, about making tool casts.

"Blank casts are made by pouring aluminum brass or gold into an empty casting table. These can be turned into ingot casts in the Stencil Table.

Other part casts must be created by pouring metal [alumi brass or gold] around existing parts, like a pickaxe head, or on the wooden pattern." The info comes exactly after the page on alloys.

Im reading through the pages. this cought my eye. Running the same mod pack with NO greg tech.
Same kinda problem here The blank patttern (wood ones) work flawless but the Blank cast (Metal ones) dont work. Clicking next Pattern in the Stencil table doesnt cycle through the patterns. I spent 8 hours on this today and finally said screw it. its gotta be a bug.
The only thing I could make so far was the Pickaxe head and the copper rod. Cannot make the binding. metal one anyway. Im sure someone had answered this already and I havent gotten to the post yet.

    Same problem
The stencil table only makes ingot casts. To make tool casts like the pickaxe head, put a head or a binding into a casting table, poor aluminum brass over it, and it produces the corresponding cast. (if this was confusing, try looking in one of the books, there should be some info there)

Greg also created a (smaller) exploit with the infernal furnace from TC3.
His problem is that he thinks he is "fixing" things that simply aren't broken, and has no respect for mod authors (IMO)
Could you not read the big bold letters at the top of the thread saying "Metal parts, including iron, have to be made with metal casts and the Smeltery. Casts are crafted by pouring Aluminum Brass/Gold on a tool part or wood pattern."?

btw Mdiyo, i love your avatar :3
You're the wrong one here. He was trying to say that putting a cast in the stencil table only gave an ingot cast. I can confirm this (whether it's a bug or not).

ouch! it worked now! well just a question: why does the magmatic engine run without redstone power? [unless that has been fixed by now]
That's intended. You open the engine's GUI and there is a config for how it works with redstone. The default is it'll work without a signal.

EE2 was one of my Favorite mods... now it"s gone -_- whats Rythian going to do. i mean that was like the only mod he ever used. usually when you update a mod you add more stuff not delete everything
Rythian's currently having fun with Thaumcraft, and was even able to shift the entire storyline when EE2 was gone. So I don't see a problem.

What if you have a mob trap? Then you have stacks of shards. And ee2 isn't overpowered in any way, It's only with other mods that it becomes OP. And that cannot be fixed. And if you install other mods solely for the purpose of getting it OP, why don't you just cheat stuff in?
And then there's the fact that those shards won't exist forever.

    bug report (maybe..kinda not sure):

I did the math on the durability of the weapons again and i thought that something was off so i start looking and took
the iron example and the rapier so

    - Iron has a durability of 250 and a handle modifier of 1.3
    - The "crossbar" (in the rapier's case) doesn't do anything..
so 250 * 1.3 = 325 (as said to be the "Full tool durability" aka: what your durability will be when your weapon is completely made out of this material)
But the actual result is 227 Durability ?! how??

    With the broadsword it's 390
With the longsword however it's fine (325)

If someone could clear this up please.. Tell me what i missed :)
    otherwise bug report

    Thanks :)
I'm pretty sure that broadswords are supposed to have more durability, considering the size of their blades, and the opposite is true for rapiers. And by the way, the crossbar is like a free part essentially, so you can put obsidian and have reinforced III, without affecting the durability. I used this to my advantage and put a paper binding on my pick, which gave it an extra modifier.

I had an awesome idea. So, people with Dark Matter Armor are practically immortal. This isn't really fair in SMP, even though Dark Matter is prohibitively expensive. But, if you make a Reaverbow, out of Dark Matter, fully charged Klein Star Omegas, and a Reaverbolt, which would be made up of another Klein Star and a few more Dark Matter, it could be an assassination weapon. If somebody isn't wearing the Dark Matter Armor, the bow would just be a regular bow, but unbreakable and without needing arrows. But if an arrow hits someone in Dark Matter Armor, it instantly reduces them to three hearts of health, and gives them the effect Stricken for thirty seconds, which would prevent their armor from reducing damage taken. The recoil would bring the user to five hearts and fifteen seconds of Stricken.
This is EE3, not EE2. None of that is even implemented.
