You do realize that conflicting enchantments do nothing extra, and also can not happen on the anvil, too many people made too many assumptions.

I merely suggested (amongst other things) that combining items with conflicting would cause the enchantment with the lower value to be consumed.
That would allow for more flexibility in the system.
Having said that, I'm very glad that the developers at Mojang, are planning a repair system. It's something that I've personally wanted for quite a long time.

The first times I tried to use the WYSIWYG editor to add 2 paragraphs of text (to link to the updated version/elaborate on the status of the project)
The layout went everywhere in a chaotic mess and the markup editor was replaced with a text editor (so I rolled back). This went on for about an hour. I tried several things to fix this including:
Please restore the thread, and fix the issues with the editor as soon as possible.

Hey guys, I'm really sorry, I couldn't be there over the past 2 months.

If I survive the coming month, I may be able to negotiate some time off work, and get back to modding, but I can't make any promises.

Haha, I've wanted to do that for a long time. But the current vanilla lighting system goes by light source blocks not entities :(.
I can't wait till they overhaul the light source rendering engine...Lead Foot: there's a good idea. knockback is reduced, and the character is never swimming.
I'll see what I can do once I swap the base to forge.
Flipper's also a good one. I wanted to do a faster swim for a while, but wasn't able to without altering the original source files
due to a bit of hard coding of max speeds in liquids on Mojang's part

Single player port updated for 1.4.7, so you don't need to rely on cheats if you don't want to use cheats.
Also
While I won't be doing the drop a specific item, I have made the code opensource for you, or a modder of your choice to use
P.s. I too laughed when I read people trolling my mod (lets hope they were, cause otherwise, they do come across as thick). This mod was made before cheats existed, and is updated for single player, for the people who don't want to use cheats.

Really sorry, for the delay guys.
Have caused the mod update to be delayed longer than it should have.
Both the multiplayer and single player ports are now implemented for 1.4.7 with added support for undoing enchantments on
books/enchanting books.
Due to the way Vanilla Minecraft's Anvil works, only one enchantment can be applied to books at a time (else vanilla forging won't work on them).
P.s. Lithial you're a legend for providing support while I was afl (away from laptop) and awol.

I just came to post, that I've got my laptop back :D.
I had significant problems with overheating, due to issues with the fan.
Now that it's back from servicing, I shouldn't have much trouble finishing the updates of my other mods.

(the fan's clogged with dust, and the battery can't retain charge).
The laptop has my modding tools on it (I can't run Minecraft on this EePC I borrowed), hence why my other mods haven't been updated.
I should get it back before 1.5 comes out though.

Hey guys I'm really sorry for being away for so long and not updating as a result XD
Remember that this mod is Forge compatible as well.
The only reason I use Modloader is to ensure compatibility with both types of mods.
I'm considering swapping to forge for the multiplayer port though, in latter versions. It will also allow me to introduce some more enchantments.
I found out how to get them all working in 1.4.7
