    I just encountered two errors, which are really stressing me out.

    I was making a few simple changes to my old more enchantments thread here

    The first times I tried to use the WYSIWYG editor to add 2 paragraphs of text (to link to the updated version/elaborate on the status of the project)

    The layout went everywhere in a chaotic mess and the markup editor was replaced with a text editor (so I rolled back). This went on for about an hour. I tried several things to fix this including:

    • Checking Javascript is enabled (it is)
    • Closing all other tabs and windows
    • Switching between and logging in to edit with different browsers (Chrome/Firefox)
    The next time I tried to edit the post, the editor crashed, and seems to have deleted the entire thread (clicking on the link above causes users to be redirected to the modding/mapping subforum).

    Please restore the thread, and fix the issues with the editor as soon as possible.

    I'm please to report that I've given Lithial my source code for this mod.



    I won't be on the forums as much due to the reasons I mentioned on the previous page.

Hit and run tactics, or if you have penetrate on your weapon just mow down entire armies of mobs like it's nothing.

    High Jump needs the option to be a normal jump while pressing shift or something. I don't want to highjump everywhere.

    Last but not least: Weapon enchantments should have a chance to be on mob's weapons! Fighting a mob with penetrate and leech, now that'll damn interesting!


    Thanks for your feedback, we plan to eventually add a config file to turn enchantments on/off.

    Remember that the purpose of this mod, is two fold:
    1. To reduce grinding without taking strategy out of the game.
    2. To introduce new gameplay mechanics.
    • Horticulture is pretty rare and very expensive (a min value of 30 levels). Growing crops was never really a challenge. Just a timely process. After you've killed a few skeletons you were pretty set/found some seeds/wood you were pretty much set. It's also used to reduce those ridiculously long waiting times when growing sugar cane/netherwart.
    • Vigour, has a much more noticeable effect at higher levels.
    • Leech: When combined with diamond/iron armour <hard, yeah it is overpowered. The initial idea behind leech was so that the player would be rewarded for daring and risk, without spending alot of time mining to make armor. If you try it against some of the stronger bosses in other mods/PvP, you'll find it's not so overpowered.
    • In answer to your question, Lithial suggested having only hunger replenished at the first level (which I agree).
    • Nighvision->particle effect? Not sure what you meant here
    • Perhaps holding down shift to control the jump height.
    • Enchantments on mob weapons. I love you're evil thinking, definitely something to consider for the future.

    As such I'm delegating him the work of keeping the Superior Enchanting updated (and possibly for Bukkit) while I'm away:

    I will also provide him with all relevant source code in my possession.

    This is off course subject to him agreeing to the following conditions, in front of you the users.

    Do you Lithial agree to the following:
    1. Not disseminate the source code to anyone, unless they can be agreed on.
    2. Not do anything malicious with the mod, i.e. attaching viruses/unsavoury content to my mods when offering them for download.
    3. Source code, will be shared both ways.
    4. You may gain advertising revenue, just as long as you makes sure that the site is reputable and doesn't hit the user with too many adds.
    5. I still retain intellectual property for my work, but you shall receive all due permission and credit for the ports.
    6. If Cognitive Forge needs you to link to a web page for one of our upcoming games, you will need to do so in the mod download, in the appropriate format.
    7. You may create any enhancements that you like, so long as it doesn't conflict with the original goals of the mod e.g.:
      1. Cross compatibility with other mods, requiring as few third party apis as possible.

    Hey guys, I'm really sorry, I couldn't be there over the past 2 months.

    For those of you who want to know what's going on atm, I'm currently:

    • Working full time at Zynet as the sole app developer there (minimum wage). While my employers there are nice people, my job's not that secure as the overseas team in India is somewhat cheaper.
    • Devoting most of the rest of my time to work on a sandbox platformer project. Currently I'm the only go left at my studio, as the other coder had to leave. I'm hoping to hire additional help soon.
    • I'm unsure of what's going to happen to the enchantment system, after 1.6. As Mojang seem to have implemented an alternative system of Terraria style modifiers.

    For the reasons above, I really have not had the time to update my Mods, for which I must apologize again.
    If I survive the coming month, I may be able to negotiate some time off work, and get back to modding, but I can't make any promises.

    On a brighter note. Well done Lithial for keeping the mods updated while I was away. I'm going to add your links to the main post.
    Given that you seem to have the time and dedication to keep my mods running, perhaps we can work together. Give me a PM and we can work something out.

    Haha, I've wanted to do that for a long time. But the current vanilla lighting system goes by light source blocks not entities :(.

    I can't wait till they overhaul the light source rendering engine...Lead Foot: there's a good idea. knockback is reduced, and the character is never swimming.
    I'll see what I can do once I swap the base to forge.

    Flipper's also a good one. I wanted to do a faster swim for a while, but wasn't able to without altering the original source files
    due to a bit of hard coding of max speeds in liquids on Mojang's part :(

    Sorry for the delay guys. Overheating issues with my laptop fan (causing it to get sent in for servicing) previously delayed a simple update for too long.
    Single player port updated for 1.4.7, so you don't need to rely on cheats if you don't want to use cheats.

    While I won't be doing the drop a specific item, I have made the code opensource for you, or a modder of your choice to use :D

    P.s. I too laughed when I read people trolling my mod (lets hope they were, cause otherwise, they do come across as thick). This mod was made before cheats existed, and is updated for single player, for the people who don't want to use cheats.

    UPDATED TO 1.4.7

    Really sorry, for the delay guys.
    1. overheating problems with my laptops fan
    2. Catapolt's financial failure

    Have caused the mod update to be delayed longer than it should have.
    Both the multiplayer and single player ports are now implemented for 1.4.7 with added support for undoing enchantments on
    books/enchanting books.
    Due to the way Vanilla Minecraft's Anvil works, only one enchantment can be applied to books at a time (else vanilla forging won't work on them).


    P.s. Lithial you're a legend for providing support while I was afl (away from laptop) and awol.

    Hey guys, sorry for being out once again, longer than I should have.

    I just came to post, that I've got my laptop back :D.

    I had significant problems with overheating, due to issues with the fan.
    Now that it's back from servicing, I shouldn't have much trouble finishing the updates of my other mods.

    Hey guys, I just logged in to tell you that I've been without a laptop since yesterday for servicing.
    (the fan's clogged with dust, and the battery can't retain charge).

    The laptop has my modding tools on it (I can't run Minecraft on this EePC I borrowed), hence why my other mods haven't been updated.

    I should get it back before 1.5 comes out though.

    The mod's finally updated to Minecraft 1.4.7,


    Hey guys I'm really sorry for being away for so long and not updating as a result XD

    Remember that this mod is Forge compatible as well.

    The only reason I use Modloader is to ensure compatibility with both types of mods.
    I'm considering swapping to forge for the multiplayer port though, in latter versions. It will also allow me to introduce some more enchantments.

    UPDATED FOR 1.4.5:
    Also changed:
    1. Fixed bug with a few debug messages cluttering up the chat, when used with Modloader.
    2. Rejecting an enchantment twice now prevents it from reappearing, until you've iterated through all the other enchantments.
