posted a message on Elytra inventory sprites not working

I'm able to successfully edit the elytra model and even the pack.png file, which produces very nice results, but I can't edit the inventory sprites. It just shows the bland gray wings. I don't know how to link my resource packs, but I'll say where the files are located: AppData > Roaming > .minecraft > resourcepacks > Paragon Pinions (the resource pack folder) > assets > minecraft > textures > items

The files are named elytra.png and broken_elytra.png.

I need a way to detect a player crouching while flying with a set of elytras.

I want to create a custom set of wings with a special ability that refreshes every ten seconds for a custom elytra racing minigame that my friends and I can play. I want the trigger of this special effect to be the player holding shift. Is that possible?

posted a message on Detecting a player holding a named item

I'm trying to detect in 1.14 when a player is holding a bow named "stonerep". This is the command I'm using right now, it doesn't work anymore:

    /scoreboard players set @a[nbt={SelectedItem:{item:"minecraft:bow",tag:{display:{Name:"stonerep"}}}}] stonerep 1

With a dummy objective named "stonerep".

This worked before the update, and I know that the problem lies in the NBT, so I looked through the patch notes on the wiki and a few videos, I couldn't find anything useful. What I'm looking for is an updated command that I can use.

posted a message on Can anyone find a solution to my problem?

I'm trying to build a flamethrower called the Protoeviscerator. When you hold the item, it will start firing a stream of flames that deal instant_damage to nearby players. After one full second, the flames fade out, having traveled 13 blocks.

My problem is that the flames will not move forward more than a single tick. I've spotted the problem, it's in the fourth command, but I just can't think of how I would fix it. The solution has to work in multiplayer, as there will be times that two players will be attacking eachother with the Protoeviscerator in the minigame I intend to make.

Here is the /give command for the item:

    /give @p minecraft:diamond_horse_armor{display:{Name:"{\"text\":\"Protoeviscerator\",\"color\":\"red\",\"bold\":\"true\",\"italic\":\"false\",\"underlined\":\"true\"}",Lore:["Hold to shoot a powerful jet of Exo flames"]},Enchantments:[{id:"minecraft:knockback",lvl:2}],AttributeModifiers:[{AttributeName:"generic.armor",Name:"generic.armor",Amount:10,Operation:0,UUIDLeast:87859,UUIDMost:690828,Slot:"mainhand"},{AttributeName:"generic.movementSpeed",Name:"generic.movementSpeed",Amount:0.015,Operation:0,UUIDLeast:869535,UUIDMost:970634,Slot:"mainhand"}]} 1

This contraption uses the scoreboards protoFlameAge, a dummy objective, and protoFlamePTimer, also a dummy objective.

Here is the full list of command blocks, in order:

    /tag @a remove protoHold

    /tag @a[nbt={SelectedItem:{id:"minecraft:diamond_horse_armor",tag:{display:{Name:"{\"text\":\"Protoeviscerator\",\"color\":\"red\",\"bold\":\"true\",\"italic\":\"false\",\"underlined\":\"true\"}"}}}}] add protoHold

    /execute at @a[tag=protoHold] run summon armor_stand ~ ~ ~ {NoGravity:1b,Invulnerable:0b,Invisible:1b,PersistenceRequired:1b,CustomName:"{\"text\":\"protoFlame\"}"}

    /execute at @a[tag=protoHold] as @e[type=armor_stand,name="protoFlame",distance=..1,scores={protoFlameAge=..1}] rotated as @p run tp ^ ^ ^0.65

    /scoreboard players add @e[type=armor_stand,name="protoFlame"] protoFlameAge 1

    /execute at @e[type=armor_stand,scores={protoFlameAge=4..}] run effect give @a[distance=..2] minecraft:instant_damage

    /kill @e[type=armor_stand,scores={protoFlameAge=20..}]

    /scoreboard players add @e[type=armor_stand,name="protoFlame"] protoFlamePTimer 1

    /scoreboard players set @e[type=armor_stand,name="protoFlame",scores={protoFlamePTimer=3}] protoFlamePTimer 0

    /execute at @e[type=armor_stand,scores={protoFlamePTimer=0}] run particle minecraft:totem_of_undying ~ ~1 ~ 0.1 0.1 0.1 0 1 force

    /execute at @e[type=armor_stand,scores={protoFlamePTimer=1}] run particle minecraft:end_rod ~ ~1 ~ 0.1 0.1 0.1 0 1 force

    /execute at @e[type=armor_stand,scores={protoFlamePTimer=2}] run particle minecraft:witch ~ ~1 ~ 0.1 0.1 0.1 0 1 force

If you have the spare time to figure this out, what I need is to get this thing working in multiplayer, and thanks!
