    THere's your problem. That was an exploit in electricraft, to use 5 engines wihtout bedrock upgrades. Reika patched it, but now electricraft seems to have problems with more than 4 engines even with bedrock shaft junctions, unless it's been fixed since i last checked.

    G1GC is a java arg that changes garbage collection to prevent Chromaticraft Crashes. You must either use it, change the config file to disable the dimension, or use Java 7

    You're having the same problem as I am. v10 uses Forestry 4 API, but FTB Infinity won't update to Forestry 4 until Binnie's Mods and Magic Bees does. It would work with v9, but those links have been taken down because reasons.


    Because IT's a pain for reika to support out of date versions, lead to bug reports for already-fixed bugs, amibiguity in what version had a problem, and it's annoying to have to work with two different APIs for the same mod

    I'm getting the exact same issue, I've tried editing the JVM arguments, removed the "-XX:+UseConcMarkSweepGC" and "-XX:+CMSIncrementalMode" (Due to it telling me it needed ConcMarkSweepGC to run) and still had no success. As soon as I try to start the server, both client and server crash simultaneously giving me a report that tells me to come here.


    Are you using Technic? because we had issues earlier with them ignoring java arguments

    edit: i guess ill use this to post what im thinking, Stone bricks generate in dungeons. Dungeons are rare and have small amounts of non cracked bricks. Silver fish eat the bricks. making stone bricks probably the rarest block in the game.


    Since mechanics can make steel through a quest the blast furnace takes steel to make, through a quest. So if a smart mechanic wanted to prevent others from stealing the mechanics secret weapon, you would have to trap your blast furnace. With a self destruct.


    you can make stone bricks with four smooth stone in a 2x2 grid.

    edit2: seems like the lubricant was the root cause, now I just have to replumb the two effected steam engines


    edit3: guess I was wrong about the proximity of fire to hose, more stuff exploded


    If this follows vanilla fire mechanics, which I believe it should, then there is a 3x3 are centered on the fire, that goes one below and I believe four above. The fire can spread to this are if there is an air block there, and a flammable block adjacent. So basically you have a 5x5x8 area that fire can light. However, if you block off the air block the fire tries to get to with stone, the flammable block will not ignite.

    IT may not be intentional. then again, it may be. red sand is likely red due to iron oxide. who knows how that could affect the strength of the steel made with it (reika probably)

    known visual bug. it occurs if you fail to capture or destroy the steam, and instead let it escape into the atmosphere. the game doesn't like rendering that.

    I now officially don't understand why pople blame your mods for lag. Was just playing KSP. Now, my computer can handle several chunks of your machines right next to each other, even if it's a macbook air. A small ship by most standards on KSP (return, ascent, landing, orbit, and departure stages) ~300 parts lags me all to hell. your mods, maybe a 5% framerate drop.


    also, what tool is that you use to show tick usage per mod each time you have to disprove someone comparing you to TE?

    You might try Ice, but i'm unsure if it would make it too cold, not work, or melt and put out your fire. I'll pop up a creatve world and test it later tonight Edit: ice just melts. My knowledge of vanilla mechanics says that a certain light level melts the ice. i figured the steam engine would block that light. seemingly a transparent block.
    PS: to fix all those broken quotes people are getting, just go into 'edit', veiw the markup, and toss a /quote block (inside [] square brackets) and save your post. should be fixed.

I saw some smooth stone that WAILA said it was from Chromaticraft, but when I went back later it had changed into a concave faced block with a crystal structure in the middle. I noticed that some other things had different effects after that. For example I used to have some issues with looking up things in NEI, but now I have no issues.


    Chromaticraft progression. Those blocks update when you reach the required research level to view them. same with NEI.
