I logged in this afternoon to and empty server and played by myself for and hour. I got through the first rank which was painful in itself to play because all I had access to was stone and logs so I chopped roughly 6 stone axes worth of logs and 4 picks worth of cobble to achieve rank b thinking well that was rough but I'm sure it'll get better. It was then that I realized this server is missing the ability to have any sort of jail cell or plot system to have a little personal base. One other thing that kind of made it feel like there wasn't a whole lot to this server was the fact that the jail blocks (A-Z on this server) are literally just warps to different 20x30 rooms which are just mine pits which left me feeling claustrophobic.
If you doubt anything I said here I feel like all you have to do is log in and do /warp a.../warp b...../warp c..../warp d....
