    posted a message on [MCEdit] An Integer Is Required

    Not quite sure where to put this, so it will lie here for the time being.

    But I've come to get help. I'm trying to modify a MCEdit filter to spawn mobs other than undead mobs with equipment in order for them to drop custom items. However, I keep getting an error even after looking through the code carefully.

    (Note that I do not know anything about python [so I probably shouldn't be doing this lol], I am simply just copying off of whatever was there to begin with]

    Code:

    from pymclevel import TAG_List
    from pymclevel import TAG_Byte
    from pymclevel import TAG_Int
    from pymclevel import TAG_Compound
    from pymclevel import TAG_Short
    from pymclevel import TAG_Double
    from pymclevel import TAG_String

    displayName = "MobGearNew"

    inputs = (
    	("Holding Id", -1),
    	("Holding Damage", 0),
    	("Holding Count", 1),
    	("Feet Id", 0),
    	("Feet Damage", 0),
    	("Legs Id", 0),
    	("Leg Damage", 0),
    	("Chest Id", 0),
    	("Chest Damage", 0),
    	("Head Id", 0),
    	("Head Damage", 0)
    )

    def perform(level, box, options):
    	for (chunk, slices, point) in level.getChunkSlices(box):
    		for e in chunk.Entities:
    			x = e["Pos"][0].value
    			y = e["Pos"][1].value
    			z = e["Pos"][2].value

    			if x >= box.minx and x < box.maxx and y >= box.miny and y < box.maxy and z >= box.minz and z < box.maxz:
    				#if e["id"].value == "Zombie" or e["id"].value == "Skeleton":
    					e["Equipment"] = TAG_List()

    					holdingId = options["Holding Id"]
    					feetId = options["Feet Id"]
    					legsId = options["Legs Id"]
    					chestId = options["Chest Id"]
    					headId = options["Head Id"]

    					holding = TAG_Compound()
    					if holdingId != -1:
    						holding["id"] = TAG_Short(holdingId)
    						holding["Damage"] = TAG_Short(options["Holding Damage"])
    						holding["Count"] = TAG_Byte(options["Holding Count"])

    					e["Equipment"].append(holding)

    					feetId = TAG_Compound()
    					if feetId != -1:
    						feet["id"] = TAG_Short(feetId)
    						feet["Damage"] = TAG_Short(options["Feet Damage"])

    						e["Equipment"].append(feet)

    					legsId = TAG_Compound()
    					if legsId != -1:
    						legs["id"] = TAG_Short(legsId)
    						legs["Damage"] = TAG_Short(options["Leg Damage"])

    					e["Equipment"].append(legs)

    					chestId = TAG_Compound()
    					if chestId != -1:
    						chest["id"] = TAG_Short(chestId)
    						chest["Damage"] = TAG_Short(options["Chest Damage"])

    						e["Equipment"].append(chest)

    					headId = TAG_Compound()
    					if headId != -1:
    						head["id"] = TAG_Short(headId)
    						head["Damage"] = TAG_Short(options["Head Damage"])

    						e["Equipment"].append(head)

    					chunk.dirty = True

    Thanks in advance!

    EDIT: According to the MCEdit console, the error lies somewhere in line 56 (which is "feet["id"] = TAG_Short(feetId)" [without quotations, of course]), I've looked for about ten minutes at this line and the rest of the code and nothing seems wrong. Again, I know little to nothing about python, so the solution here could be ridiculously simple.

    posted a message on [Forge 1.7.10] Game Crashes While Loading Mods

    EDIT: I found that Minecraft crashes I throw in Chisel and Ex Nihilo together (along with Ex Astris). Perhaps they have an ID conflict.

    Is there any way to be notified of a ID conflict? Minecraft simply crashes after setting up the mods and doesn't tell me there's any ID conflict. Of course it could just be that Ex Nihilo just isn't compatible with Chisel for some reason (although I've seen modpacks with both mods, so there must be a way to fix this).

    posted a message on [Forge 1.7.10] Game Crashes While Loading Mods

    Before this, my modpack was working fine. I had installed both Ex Nihilo and Ex Astris and then my game had crashed after this.

    Any plausible solution?

    (Using Forge 10.13.4.1558 at first, and switched to 10.13.4.1566 but the problem persisted)

    Any type of food. Why? Because it keeps me alive, pretty convenient eh?

    In terms of food, I would say Golden Carrots because, according to the wiki...

    - It restores 14.4 saturation (more than any existing food currently in the game).

    - Not too difficult to craft (gold is somewhat tricky to get but not too hard since the carrots only require nuggets and not whole ingots or blocks)

    Only downside is....

    - They are somewhat difficult to make renewable (you need a gold farm and a carrot farm).

    Other than that, gold is surprisingly useless (with the exception of golden apples, booster rails, and of course, gold carrots and numerous other items).

    Quote from Carl_Jokl»

    I might say the bed is pretty useful. Not only moving to the relative safety of the day without having to wait out the night, but also moving your spawn point. Imagine if there were no beds. Would you like to have to travel possibly thousands of blocks to get back to where you were. By the time you get there all your dropped items may have been de-spawned. It is a kind of convenience we take for granted and don't think about anymore.

    Hilariously, many speedrunners take advantage of the fact that beds explode when you try to sleep in other dimensions. They've used this strategy to kill the enderdragon with beds. (Surprisingly or unsurprisingly it does about 25% of the enderdragon's health, making it an efficient weapon against the dragon).

    posted a message on 3 New Utilities [Redstone Conduit, Toolbag, Block Transporter]

    Here are 3 new and (potentially) useful utilities for Minecraft survival!

    Redstone Conduit:

    Unlike redstone, it is crafted, and lasts twice the distance (30 blocks, where redstone dust lasts 15).

    The biggest advantage from this item is that it can be placed on all six sides of a block (top, bottom, and sides). Rather than having to make an annoying vertical circuit, just use conduits!

    Crafting Recipe:

    (Can be crafted on all 3 rows of the Crafting Table)

    A repeater variation of this exists. The recipe is the same as a normal repeater, the dust is replaced with a conduit. Behaves like a normal repeater (can have a set delay, and re-powers circuit after the circuit reaches its 30-block limit). Like the conduits, it can be placed on all six sides of a block.

    Toolbag:

    A bag that can contain up to 5 different tools. By Shift-RClicking, it will open a 5-slot GUI, which both appears similar to and behaves like a chest. Items can (obviously) be placed in this inventory. By holding the bag and holding down LCtrl and then using the scroll wheel, you can go through and use the items in the back as if you were holding the actual item. Can save space and make managing and clearing up your inventory much easier.

    Crafting Recipe:

    Block Transporter:

    Moves containers (blocks with inventories, think Chest, Furnace, Hopper). Right click with the item in hand while looking at the desired block to pick up said block.

    Has 100 uses before breaking.

    Crafting Recipe:

    And that's about it. Leave what you think about these three ideas down below!

    There's a lot of items in minecraft, and some may be rather convenient. What do you think is the most convenient?

    (Note that i use the word convenient, so don't say wood or crafting table, while they are useful [meaning they have a lot of uses], they necessarily don't make processes easier, but make processes happen, like crafting more complex items, and thus, are vital for gameplay, rather than acting as a utility)

    Be sure to list the pros and cons of the item!

    Personally, I would say the Ender Chest. Why? Well...

    - I'm thousands of blocks from my base. I don't feel like walking back.... oh wait i can just put my stuff in my enderchest and suicide

    - Acts as a pseudo-backpack (arguably, shulker boxes do the exact same thing).

    - Extreme blast resistance so it can't be blown up easily.

    - All you need are 27 shulker boxes and you have 729 free slots of inventory (that is, if you manage to get 27 shulker boxes).

    The downsides of it are....

    - Somewhat tricky to craft (obsidian is tedious to mine and the bane of your existence if you're impatient. Ender eyes are also tricky to get unless you're that one guy that has every mob farm in existence [no offense to those people, everyone has different playing styles]).

    - Need at least 2 to get the most out of it. If you craft just one, it's basically just a reskinned chest.

    - You need silk touch to actually pick it back up. Otherwise, you just get 8 obsidian (which, again, isn't that much of a problem if you have farms set up for everything).

    posted a message on Random Questions. Can you get all of them right?

    Here are 5 random questions either dealing with mathematics, science, or an entirely different topic.

    1. What is 0 divided by 0?

    Reveal answer:

    With black holes and Siri aside, the conclusion most people come to is that 0 divided by 0 is simply just indeterminate. or has no good answer. The reason for this is that, there are 3 "correct" answers to this expression, which can, therefore, lead to contradictions.

    1) Anything divided by 0 is infinity:

    The reason many individuals have arrived at this conclusion is because, using simple limit calculus, the limit as x approaches 0 of n/x is infinity. Just think, 1/1 is, well, 1. 1/0.1 is 10, 1/0.01 is 100. As the denominator gets smaller and smaller, and therefore, approaches 0, the quotient of the expression gets larger and larger, eventually reaching infinity. Which means that, as x approaches 0, or gets smaller, the result will begin to approach infinity or get larger.

    On a 3rd grade teaching level. Think that 20/4 is 5. Division can be also seen as iterated subtraction. Where 20-4 = 16, 16-4 = 12, 12-4 = 8, 8-4 = 4 and, finally, 4-4 = 0. We subtracted 4 from 20 a total of 5 times, which is our answer, or quotient, to 20/4. Now apply this logic to a expression where n is greater than 0, and the denominator is equal to 0. Say n would be equal to 1. 1/0 would mean that we subtract 0 from 1 continuously until we reach 0 or any number greater than 0, which will be our remainder. So, 1-0 is, well, 1. 1-0 is 1, 1-0 is 1, see, it just goes on forever and ever, and the amount of times we do this is infinite, therefore, one acceptable answer is infinity.

    2) Anything divided by 0 is undefined:

    Many more individuals have arrived at this conclusion instead. Where the numerator, n, is equal to any number, and where 0 is the denominator. The reason many people leave the expression n/0 undefined is because mathematics itself is prone to many contradictions when n/0 is defined.

    For example, the equation (1/0)x = 3 would be prone to a contradiction if we defined the expression 1/0 to be equal to just 0. Well, 1/0 is just 0, and x is being multiplied by 0, and therefore, according to this equation, 0 would be equal to 3, which, of course, is not true at all.

    The most logical answer would to make 1/0 equal 3, in which case. x would be equal to 1. However, in a situation such as 1/0x = 4. then 3x = 4, and x would be equal to 4/3. Okay, good, now lets substitute x with 4/3 in this equation. 1/0*4/3 = 4 is 4/0 = 4, which is not true.

    3) Anything divided by itself is 1:

    And finally, there's this answer. Which is also correct. Say that we have 1/2, which is just 0.5. Then we have 2/2, which is 1. One of the universal rules in mathematics is that anything divided by itself is equal to just 1 (some questions can be raised in situations such as 3/3, or 1/3 * 3 where 1/3 is 0.3333333..., and 3*0.33333... is 0.9999.... where many people say that 0.999999.. is equal to 1, but this is besides the point). When applied to this, many conclude that 0/0 is just 1, simply because the same number appears both in the numerator and denominator. However, this is one of the more debatable answers compared to the rest.

    2. Going foward from 1971, what is the nearest even year that is not a leap year?

    Reveal Answer:

    The answer would be 1974. Note that going foward means counting foward from, so 1970 would not be the answer. Nor would 1972, since 1972 is a leap year. Therefore, 1974 is the correct answer.

    3. If I had traveled back exactly one year from the current date (1/5/18), to 1/5/17 and did something that altered the future, what would happen to me (the one that traveled to 1/5/17 from 2018)?

    The answer here could be rather debatable since many perceive time travel differently. However, the most reasonable conclusion would be that I would begin disappearing, since the original 2018 and 1/6/17 timeline and onward no longer exist due to the changes I've made, therefore, the copy of me living in 1/5/17 will live on happily ever after.

    4. Who was the first president of the United States?

    A) Franklin D. Roosevelt

    B ) John Hanson

    C) George Washington

    If you chose A...

    Franklin D. Roosevelt was the 32nd president of the United States, whose term began in 1933 and ended in 1945. The correct answer was B.

    If you chose B...

    Correct! John Hanson was the 1st president of the United States, whose term began in 1781 and ended in 1782.

    If you chose C...

    Although George Washington is known as the first president of the U.S, he is not. His term began in 1789 and ended in 1797, while the very first president's term began in 1781, and ended the next year. The correct answer is B.

    4. Let the function f(x) be defined as the floor function of log base 10 of x. With this in mind, what is f(1098)?

    Reveal Answer:

    The floor function simply means to round down to the nearest whole number. The logarithm base 10 of 1098 is approximately 3.04. When rounded down to the nearest integer, it becomes 3. So 3 would be the correct answer.

    5.What direction does Earth's gravity pull?

    A) Towards the center.

    B ) Down

    C) Left

    If you chose A...

    Correct! Earth's gravity pulls towards the center of the Earth, and not down.

    If you chose B:

    Incorrect! Earth's gravity pulls towards the center of the earth (answer A). If gravity pulled downward, then I would fly into space if I were located on the bottom side of Earth.

    If you chose C:

    Either you overthought it or for some reason thought this was the answer. If it wasn't obvious, this is the incorrect answer, and A is the correct answer.

    And that's about it! Post your score using the format: (how many you got right)/5. Thank you guys, and have a good one!

    posted a message on [1.7.10, 1.10.2] Utterly Useful Utilities

    Here's a ton (and counting) of ideas I had. The ideas were so random that I just decided it'd be good if I just stuck it in one big mod. And that mod is Utterly Useful Utilities (corny title, but everything starts with a u, so that's all I care about, sort of). Anyways, let's jump right in.

    Here are the list of items, which may expand over time.

    - Crafting Tablet

    - Different Scepters (Magmus, Aqueous, Earthus, Silkus, Constructus, Reversus)

    - Tablet of Multiplication

    - Tablet of Exponentation

    - Gem of Exponentation

    - Power Shears

    - Grinder

    - Tome of Reversal

    - Quantum Toolbag

    - Fluid Hopper

    - Ender Rod

    - Winged Boots

    - Bookstand

    - Ender Furnace

    - Block Creator

    - Rope Ladders

    - Roped Sword

    - Roped Arrow

    Here are the items described in further detail:

    Tablet Of Multiplication:

    A special item that can only be found as a rare spawn in Nether Fortresses and Strongholds.

    When placed in a crafting table along with any item in the game (with some exceptions), it will double or triple that item.

    E.g, placing one diamond and a tablet of multiplication will give me two or three diamonds.

    Note that this special tablet has only four uses, and one item at a time can be duplicated.

    When paired with itself, it will create the Tablet Of Exponentation, which is even more powerful, but has only three uses.

    Unstackables and stacks of items cannot be duplicated.

    E.g, I cannot place half a stack of diamonds in the crafting table and the T.O.M and expect to get one stack or a stack and a half. Items can only be duplicated one by one.

    Unstackable items cannot be duplicated.

    E.g, I cannot place a minecart and expect to get two or three minecarts

    Tablet Of Exponentiation:

    Crafted by placing two T.O.M's in a crafting table. Pairing it with any item in the game will double/triple it and then square/cube the product.

    E.g, if I placed one diamond, and got 2 diamonds and then that got cubed, I would get 8 diamonds.

    When this Tablet along with two diamonds (unstacked) are placed in a crafting table, it will give the player the Gem Of Exponentation, which is used for many crafting recipes, but is extremely powerful, and because of it's extreme power, it is very dangerous and unstable.

    This tablet has the same limitations as the Tablet Of Multiplication.

    Gem Of Exponentiation:

    A powerful gem that contains energy which grows at an exponential rate. This amount of energy grows so quickly that it can cause, changes in weather, increased tick speed and changes in time.

    The gem's instability can only be neutralized by using emerald shards. These can be created by placing one emerald into the crafting grid, which will give the player 4 emerald shards. These shards can be crafted back into emeralds by crafting them in a 2x2 pattern.

    Simply place the gem and an emerald shard to stabilizie the potency of the dramatic effects the gem has.

    Power Shears:

    Crafted similar to standard shears, but the iron ingots have been replaced with Gems of Exponentiation.

    These shears are similar to standard shears, as they shear sheep, break plants and wool, cobwebs, etc. However, they allow you to shear Cows and Chickens. Shearing cows gives 1-4 leather and shearing Chickens gives 1-3 feathers. These animals will regrow their clothing once fed wheat or seeds, depending on which animal was sheared. In addition, it can change stone bricks and sandstone into their chiseled variations once right clicked with this item in hand.

    Ender Rod:

    Crafted with one Blaze Rod and an Ender Pearl (shapeless). This special rod is used in a bit of recipes.

    Quantum Toolbag:

    When SHIFT-RClicked, it will open a 5-slot chest-like GUI. By holding down LCtrl and using the scroll wheel, you can scroll through the item's contents and use the items in the bag as if you had them your hotbar.

    Due to it's quantum properties, it will retain it's state (items, infused machines) when crafted again.

    Crafted with the following recipe:

    GOE = Gem Of Exponentiation

    CST = Chest

    LTR = Leather

    Crafting Recipe:

    LTR LTR LTR
    GOE CST GOE
    LTR LTR LTR

    Crafting Tablet:

    An item that is a handheld crafting table. Will bring up crafting GUI once RClicked.

    What makes this tablet significant is that it can be infused with other blocks (furnace, chest) by placing one of the mentioned machines with the tablet in the crafting grid. Instead of bringing up just a crafting GUI, it will bring up a furnace, chest or both (depending on which you infused with the tablet).

    Tome Of Reversal:

    A book that is found as a rare find in dungeon and stronghold chests. When used, will restore your position, health, hunger, XP, and potion affects from 5-6 seconds ago. Only has 5 uses but can be combined with other Tome of Reversals to increase their amount of uses.

    Bookstand:

    Very similar to the Bookstand or Lectern from Mystcraft. When placed, a written book can be placed on the bookstand for reading. While it doesn't serve much of a purpose or advantage besides a decoration or cosmetic, it's still a nifty alternative to item frames. When the book is placed on the bookstand, it will appear similar to a book on an enchantment table; It will open if the player walks near it.

    Ender Furnace:

    Crafted with a standard furnace surrounded by obisidan on the corners, and ender pearls in the remaining slots:

    OB = Obsidian

    EP = Ender Pearl

    FE = Furnace

    OB EP OB

    EP FE EP

    OB EP OB

    Smelts twice as fast as a regular furnace, and it's items can be accessed across all Ender Furnaces.

    Block Swapper:

    Similar to the Resonant Exchanger from EnderTech or the Wand Of The Shifting Crust from Botania. Once Shift+RClicked, a GUI will open which will display what block to build with. Only blocks available in your inventory will be displayed in said GUI, and can be selected in the GUI. once selected. Right click on an area to replace the blocks in a 8x8 area.

    This item is unstackable.

    Crafted with the following recipe:

    RP = Redstone Repeater

    OB = Obsidian

    IR = Iron Ingot

    EP = Ender Pearl

    [] = Empty slot

    [] [] IR

    OB EP OB

    OB RP OB

    Fluid Hopper:

    A hopper that can transport liquids. Simply fill a chest filled with the buckets of the liquid you'd like to move. Also functions with tanks or drums from other mods. Also works with cauldrons.

    Rope Ladder:

    A that can be crafted with a ladder and a some string. When placed, the ladders will continue to form until they hit solid ground, even with no block supporting them on the back.

    Once the main ladder is destroyed, the rest will be destroyed.

    Recipe:

    LD = Ladder

    ST = String

    [] = Empty Slot

    []LD[]

    []ST[]

    []LD[]

    Can be crafted on all 3 columns of the crafting grid.

    Roped Sword:

    Crafted with any sword and a string under it. Can be RClicked to be thrown, and if thrown at an enemy, it will hurt the enemy, dealing the same amount of damage the sword will deal when used. When thrown on land, it will pull the player towards the landing point of the sword. The sword can be retrieved by RClicking it off the ground.

    Recipe:

    SWD = Sword

    ST = String

    [] = Empty Slot

    [] SWD []

    [] ST []

    [] [] []

    Roped Arrow:

    Crafted with one arrow and a string. When fired via bow, it will pull the player towards the landing point of the arrow.

    And that's about it, guys, Thank you, and please leave any feedback down below. Have a good one!

    posted a message on Taking mod requests and updates

    Here's a pastebin with everything taken from a text file for a mod I was planning to make (but never will lol).

    The file is incomplete, but I could keep adding ideas if you'd like. Basically the mod was planned to be kinda like Extra Utilties, it just adds a bunch of random but useful things.

    https://pastebin.com/TTTBYJCZ

    (note that i'm not at all asking for all of the features to be made or added, but put it here just as something to show, I would appreciate it if made 2 or 3 features, unless you want or have the time to make all of them, lol)

    posted a message on 5 Interesting Commands

    Hey! In this list I'll be counting down some pretty strange (and overall interesting) commands.

    Let's begin, shall we?

    5. Negative Items (1.8-1.11)

    So far, this has been tested to work in 1.8-1.12, although it may (or may not) work in earlier versions.

    Anyways, by spawning in an armor stand holding an item with a negative count or spawning in a chest with an item that has negative count, you can obtain a negative item (or negative stack of an item).

    If I did /setblock ~1 ~ ~ chest 0 replace {Items:[{id:"stone",Slot:13,Count:-1}]} ("stone" may be replaced with any item you like), you would get an item with a count of -1. This way, they last forever, because of how negative numbers work, subtracting 1 from a negative number increases (or arguably decreases because, again, how negative numbers work) the stack, so, the stack will never reach 0, therefore, the stack will be infinite.

    (A majority of you may already know this, but I'm just clarifying here)

    Do this with ender pearls and give yourself resistance 5 in survival mode, it'll be great.

    4. Fireballs with the power to destroy bedrock (1.8-1.12)

    Fireballs are quite interesting, however, bedrock is also quite interesting.

    Well, if we set a fireballs explosion value to 3000000 (or /summon Fireball ~ ~ ~ {ExplosionPower:3000000,direction:[0.0,-0.0,-0.0]} ), we can create a fireball that destroys bedrock.

    Beware, though, this can lag your game quite a bit. (According to the person that did it, it took them 2 hours and 31 minutes for the game to finally stop lagging, although it was server lag and not fps lag, it still wasn't pretty)

    3. Space Invaders (sorta) (1.11)

    This is a quite interesting command. With this, we can make flying Ender Crystals.

    /give @p spawn_egg 1 0 {EntityTag:{id:"minecraft:bat",Passengers:[{id:"minecraft:ender_crystal",CanPickUpLoot:0b}]}}

    So just grab a bow (and a negative stack of arrows to be sure you never run out...or just use the infinity enchantment) and see how many you can shoot.

    2. Flying Block (1.9)

    Sorry, I just find flying objects and putting strange objects on bats interesting.

    Arguably, this is similar to the minecart-on-bat command, although it's pretty interesting to see.

    /summon minecraft:bat ~ ~1 ~ {Passengers:[{id:"minecraft:shulker",CanPickUpLoot:0b}]}

    So, you can stand on the shulker while it's moving around on the bat.

    1. Items and mobs that gravitate towards you (1.9)

    /summon (any mob or entity you'd like to put here) ~ ~ ~ {Passengers:[{id:"minecraft:xp_orb"}]}

    Because of how XPOrbs work, stuff will start to get pulled towards you. Really cool when you use items or FallingSand entities.

    ....Or you can be that guy that uses PrimedTnt or Creepers instead.

    Anyways, that's about it for now, have a good one!

    Morph only allows you to change into, this is different. This has more specific abilities to creatures.

    Like I said, pretty much the same concept. Doesn't bring much new to the table besidesa few new attrobutes. In addition, why would I want to be able to change into 3 different mobs when I can just install another mod that lets me change into everything .

    False statement too, the morph mod lets you change and has attributes, already said that.
