And if she was serious, her move to Sweden in a few months proves she's dedicated to the company and plans to be a more integrative part of the team, long term.

i can understand your opinion and respect it...i see what you mean after watching some of the vids about her begin awkward and yes I'm sure her gender is part of it...but i still think that she's not a person to be hated...you watch some of her other stuff and she is fine...i think lot of it was maybe stress..i mean it was the first time mine craft did anything this big and I'm sure it took some toll on her since i doubt she has ever had to do anything like that before...but thats just what i think....

I am the guy from the other thread who requested for the proto man skin. I'm sorry to hear so much stuff is going down in your life. Don't stress out. Like you said, we're just some random internet people who have no positive impact on your life whatsoever. Take it easy and remember, this skin-making thing is your own choice! You can stop it whenever you want.
I just wanted to know if I still had to wait for my skin, and at least I don't have to wait for it anymore! :tongue.gif:

First off, my impromptu by-experience advice... Try not to get too attached to people you aren't in a relationship with. Not only do girls find it a little creepy sometimes, it's really awkward, and ends up making you look insecure (which it appears you are). There's always other fish in the sea. Find someone that makes you happy, but it HAS to be someone that you make happy. Anything more than that is Disney/Hollywood bull crap.

As for my second tidbit of advice, since you ARE insecure, why not find a way to build some confidence? Ask a girl out you have no intention of dating (BE CAREFUL WHO YOU PICK, SHE MIGHT ACTUALLY DO IT), if she agrees, get some relationship experience, learn the ropes, and get comfortable. If she rejects you, hooray, you've just gotten rejected. Now you know what it feels like on a mental level, you'll be less shocked on the chance this girl you like rejects you.

Doesn't matter what the outcome would be, get out there and get comfortable. Girls will rarely flock to any guy that's insecure. I'm not saying flaunt yourself, but you need to get over the fear and awkwardness.

Well, this idea has been in my head for many years, yet I only remembered it today.

We, as humans, originally evolved from the apes.

Now, I think of this, as luck.
Why? Was it simply luck that we were the ONLY species to evolve and become intelligent enough to basically own the planet. What if it was the bird that evolved at this rate, not the ape. Would we have intelligent bird people? Or some other strange creature that we deemed intelligent?

I believe so.

Now, I am not to familiar on the line of the apes evolution to the human, but I will give a really bad shot

Ape/monkey ---> 'monkey' men/Homo Erectus ----> Neanderthal ----> Humans = intelligent

I know this is wrong, but it doesn't matter

What if the fish evolved? Instead of the ape/monkey?

Early sea life ---> fish ---> fish with legs, moves to land ---> fish that stands upright ----> Standing fish no longer has scales ----> *unknown* -----> Humanoid? = intelligent?

This is another mystery. What would be even more horrifying, would be if TWO species evolved. Would they be allies? Or would they wage war until only one survived?

Ok man, I have been in the same kind of position for about a year, there is nothing you can really do that wont have negative consequences. You could just go on by without saying a thing, but the emotions will probably become too much to bear, and you will probably rip into someone about it.

You could come clean and just tell her, 1 on 1, how you feel, and hope that she doesn't hate you for it, which she shouldn't if she is a decent female, depending on how you tell her. This usually make things feel a little better, as you know that she knows how you feel, and although you may not be with her, she should understand why you may act, um, strangely (for lack of a better word).

And in relation to the panic attacks, we all get those, its just human nature. All I can say from now is that I hope you make the right choice, and whatever it is, you both are still friends, and you feel better than you do now.

And just so you know, Im not a 10 year old lol, I'm 16 going on 17, so you can trust that what im saying is from experience, not from what I've seen in movies or something

I voted for customizable capes for everyone.

I personally do not understand why there is such elitism concerning capes, that it somehow must always be a mark of distinction and recognition for only those who went to MineCon or bought the game in alpha and/or beta players or only for those who came even before that. I think the blame must be placed squarely on Notch's shoulders, who perpetuated this whole thing of giving only a select few capes, for this way of thinking.

I don't want a cape because it would give me some bizarre notion of being "special" and more "special" than those (sarcasm commencing) "bandwagoners" who bought in the game in beta or in full release. I already know I bought the game in Alpha and I don't see why or how that matters. We all play the same game and enjoy it. I want one because I think the straight-as-a-piece-of-cardboard cape attached to my shoulders, flapping behind whilst my avatar runs looks bad ass. I like capes. Though, do not mistake me for begrudging those who already have capes such as those who attended MineCon.

As of now, I use a mod to give myself a cape and it probably looks a hell of better than anything Jeb or Notch could give me simply because it fits my avatar and Minecraft is all about customization for me. I can do whatever I want in the game. Perhaps I don't like how an item looks in game, well I can fix it to suit my tastes. Maybe I want my character to look like Santa Claus to celebrate the coming holiday, I can change that. Want to build a grand, spacious Tudor Manor with beautiful French style gardens and fountains or a humble log cabin in the midst of the forest? Yep, can do that too.

So yes, I would like a cape, one that I can use my own texture for. And there, of course, should be an option to turn off capes for those who simply don't want it.
