    I was wondering this. How can you make a line of sight script? It's less complex in Minecraft with blocks. Let's say, you (or a object) are (is) at x, y, z and you want to know the blocks you could see. You do this function and it returns a list of coordinates of all the blocks you can see. How? One method is multiplying the coords by 2. So instead of block a as 1, 1, 1 and block b as 2, 2, 2 you would have block a as 8 different blocks (one for each corner), since it would span from 1, 1, 1 to 2, 2, 2. Block b would span from 3, 3, 3 to 4, 4, 4. You now have block corners. You could draw lines from your coords to it's 4-5 outer corners (depending on it's orientation to you) and any blocks inside that area wouldn't be counted. But this is very, very complicated and where does it start? Any ideas? Thanks!

    Hey aidancbrady, I'm having problems with your mod in my 1.6.2 modpack, High Voltage. When I use #221, the client just CTD. When I use the first 1.6.2 version available, #133 everything works except nothing appears on NEI, the Mekanism and search tab in the creative menu crash the game when you click on them and all Mekanism armor appears completely black or purple. Here is the forge error log when I launch it with #221:

    You have to rename it to modpack.jar, not minecraft.jar. You also have to re download the pack since you deleted the old minercraft.jar. Hope this works!

    Hey guys, I'm the owner of the High Voltage modpack on technic and I recently updated to 1.6.2 after a while and I'm having some serious bugs. You can see the bug list (here too) and mod list on the link. Can you guys help me with them? Thanks!

    So far:
    • Crashes when you open the Mekanism tab in creative mode.
    • No items appear in Too Many Items.
    • Some armor from mods (Mekanism and maybe more) appears completely black when worn.

    Hey guys, I was looking at some BF4 videos and I thought it was pretty cool. I have a custom medium-high end pc and a PS3. I have no idea which one to buy it for, if it's worth it. I'll get more quality in PC and I can always plug in my PS3 controller with a program to my computer. Although, with my PS3, I'll be able to play on the couch with a bigger tv, further away from the tv and no headphone if I don't want to. Also, if my friends get BF4, they'll get it on the console, most likely. Also, do you think GTA5 is better than BF4?

    EDIT: Is the DIGITAL DELUXE version worth it? I'll also get the premium later is I get BF4. Do you think the price will lower because it's pretty high. I'm gonna play the free beta for now.

If you do that, stay away from Windows Notepad, which is a piece of garbage for anything but editing tiny INI Files, which is by design, since if they made it useful Text Editor vendors would complain about Anti-Trust or something.

    Well, I heard that Visual Studio is really bad if you want program support for Linux and that it doesn't have C++11, so I might use Code:Blocks when I program with C++.

    I'm very inspired because one person did so much, and that's what I'm aiming for, even if it'll take years. So I should first learn C#, and when I'm really good at it (how good?), then I can start learning C++? If so, I'll try looking for C# tutorials tomorrow. Any recommendations?

    I'm getting very different stuff. Some people say C++ is all jumbled up and is a mess, while others say that it's much better than C#. I like C# because of people saying it's easier and funner. I like C++ because people say you can do more with it, it's faster, and Cube World inspired me. I sent the creator of Cube World a email saying about my situation, asking for advice and asking what his course was. I'll probably just make simple programs or maybe some programs that will help me with a game later on (like A* Pathfinding). I already made a simple console program which basically just translates from normal text to a special code I use with friends a while back. I remember, when I was learning C++, that I didn't understand some things like pointers, but I'll find out if I choose C++. I'm really stuck and I really hope he responds to the email.

    I'm stuck between C++ and C#. I think that when I learning a little of C++ a while back, graphics were extremely complicated, but I have no idea. The thought that one person created such a big game (Cube World) just temps me to use C++, but C# also temps me equally.

    Hey guys!

    I've always loved coding, and I scraped the surface on a bunch of codes, but I'm always switching when I found out something that's better or find something cool in this or that. I want to seriously learn a language and maybe make a game. At first, until recently, I thought Java was certainly the way to go, but then I saw that a lot of games were made with C++ or C#. What code should I use? I'm not planning to make any mod for Minecraft, so Java isn't necessary. Java, C#, C++ or another language? What do you think?

    Minecraft: Java
    Terraria: C# (I think)
    Cube World: C++

    EDIT: Also, if you recommend me something, what tutorial should I use?
