May 7, 2010This sounds like a great idea! Bunkers are a pretty interesting base type but having some sort of apocalypse mode to encourage them over surface fortresses would be really fun. Also, all those explosions just sound epic.Posted in: Suggestions

/me jumps in fright, pushing tons of random buttons by accident.
I do that all the time. I mean, I don't find mining all that scary, it's just I'm digging along, find a new cavern and "twang" and I just spaz out. And I keep doing it do. It really makes me want to play the infdev or on peaceful. I'm coming to think that caves aren't worth startling me so much.
I really, really, wish the mobs made some sort of ambient noise. That's the real problem. You never know what's around the next corner.

Having lava in the middle of your wall is cool and makes your wall extremely resilient. However, walls themselves really aren't very good defenses to begin with in Minecraft if everyone can dig and place blocks. Lava moats, underwater bases, and floating islands are your best bet, I'd think.Posted in: Alpha - Survival Single Player
I really don't think making such a wall would be worth the effort, especially if the lava is finite.
