You´re all acting like iron is rare or something. 55 iron ingots is like 30 min of caving, and 30 min to keep the enchants you maybe spend 100´s of lvls on? It lets you name items, wich is really cool for gifts and it lets you put enchantments on sticks and such,. I think its more than fair, i would´nt mind the anvil beeing more expensive.
You have no life.
Besides, there are only so many caves near your house/bed.
Waaay too OP. It would ruin some stuff. I mean, this...it's just too OP! If someone was coming to your house, just press shift there, and peek as they are coming. Remember, sneaking takes away your tag, so they wouldn't see you sitting. Anyway, sit with a diamond sword and armor, then as soon as they are close, quickly open the door and surprise attack them.
No support.
If someone's tag suddenly disappear, shouldn't you be suspicious?
Now that we have doors that are completely opaque, it should be possible to 'peek' through a door to make sure there isn't a Creeper directly outside.
To peek through the door, SHIFT + Rightclick. To stop peeking, release SHIFT. Peeking will decrease your FoV by a lot and cause the door's textures to not render for you until you stop peeking.
Not only will that be very hard to code, but it is completely unnecessary. You can stack unstackable items with NBT editing and it will persist until you unstack it.
EDIT: Quote feature bugged, pls fix mods. I meant to quote the 'ERROR: already stacked' statement.
it also means there would be an absolutely insane amount of lag if you where to say, have a redstone clock in a chunk and leave for a while when come back. All the blocks undergoing rapid updates at once is NOT a good idea.
Redstone keeps chunks semi-loaded, in case you did not know.
Unfortunately, all blocks but the Slime Block has infinite hardness and strength. However, they do not have much magical fortitude, which is why pickaxes (their blunt end is to conduct magical energies away from the block) do not have sharp edges.
Since draining magical fortitude also drains strength and hardness, after the block's magical fortitude is depleted, the block breaks (infinity * 0).
The reason why blocks repair itself if not completely broken is because their magical fortitude will snap back to their original magical fortitude if there are no magical fortitude drainers due to the block's infinite strength and hardness.
Each chunk will have its own independent 'time', which will update itself to the 'World time' (the one you can set with /time) every tick if the chunk is loaded.
Each tick, all the blocks in the chunk will update depending on the difference between the Chunk time and the World time. The greater the difference, the more updates there will be. The updating is done before the time updating.
That means if you leave a chunk for a long while and reenter it, a lot of updates will happen (your crops will be grown, etc).
That also means you can use /time to literally accelerate time!
Not sure if this has been suggested/implemented already, though.
Currently, there is no reason whatsoever why players will not just farm nothing but carrots and beef. This suggestion will help alleviate this problem by giving foodstuffs a 'mini effect' which buffs the player in a small way (+1 damage per swing, +1 absorption heart, +10% mining speed, +10% speed and so on) for a relatively long period of time (4 minutes or so).
Note that identical effects do not stack.
These numbers are nearly inconsequential but some players might just want the small boost.
Pork and Chicken could have a +1 damage boost (mini Strength).
Baked Potatoes could grant a +1 absorption heart (mini Absorption).
Sugar based foods (pumpkin pie, cake, etc) could grant a +10 speed (mini Speed).
Mushroom stew and bread could grant a +10% mining speed (mini Haste).

EDIT: Why is YouTube playing it back in 360P?

If only mods merge threads instead of closing them.

Too bad the Spruce, Birch and Dark Oak doors do not have holes in them.
@Window: What if, for some reason, the builder of the house decided NOT to put a window next to his door?
