posted a message on [CLOSED} RAPIDS FREE GFX SHOP ~ AVATARS ~ SERVER LOGOS/LOGOS ~ THUMBNAILS ~ BANNERS ~ SIGNATURES!
REQUEST TYPE (AVATAR, LOGO): One thumbnail and one logo, if it isn't too much :)
    IGN(s)/SKIN(s): DarkCastleLord
TIME LIMIT (IF ANY): Take your time, but would prefer it to be finished within a week :)
    EXTRA DETAILS (WEAPON, ARMOUR, BACKGROUND):

Thumbnail: A medieval themed background with my skin, posing as if greeting the player with, with an iron sword in my right hand and a bow on my back. If needed, I could provide the background for the thumbnail, but you can choose whatever you think looks cool. And would it be possible to have a text field in it, but without the text? ^_^

Logo: Minecraft server logo for the server EmoriaMC. Something medieval-themed with the server name in it (If it doesn't fit, or looks bad, you can remove the MC part), you can let your imagination do as it pleases ^_^

Thanks, I hope I'm not asking too much :) If you need something, just send me a PM. I check the forums often :)

[Edit: Just noticed how many smileys I used O.o]

I think that probably are some sounds mixing together.

I highly doubt that. I have stated countless times before that it doesn't sound like anything in the game. The closest we come are rabbits and silverfish

    It could be herobrine calling!

That was that my brother thought when I told him xD

I didn't even think if this, but I highly doubt this is the sound I hear. The difference between a squeal and a human whistle is very clear

posted a message on [CLOSED] SAOtaku's FREE Graphics Shop (Youtube Banners, Avatars, Renders, and Thumbnails)
    Request Type: Thumbnail
    IGN(s)/Skins: DarkCastleLord
Time Limit (if any): Use the time you need :)
Details: Myself armed with a iron sword in the right hand and a bow on my back, posed as if greeting the player/viewer to the video/server.
The background would be a medieval world/city/castle environment, and would it be possible to leave the text field empty? That way I can put in different text for different episodes.

    Thanks ^_^

I will most likely request a few others in the future :)

I would like to know how you checked the mixer to see that it was minecraft.

You can't see previous sound levels and even if you could, it could easily be mistaken for another noise from the game.

I know you can't see the previous sound levels in the mixer... But you can see the current. I played in windowed mode with the mixer open. When I hear the whistle, I took my eyes down on the level meter right way while the sound was still playing, and I saw it move up and down in accordance to the pitch of the whistle.
I have done a lot of editing of music, sound effects and made some soundtrack for some animated short movies, so I know the difference between a whistle and other sounds.
Play a whistle sound (Not a dog whistle or anything) or simply whistle in the microphone like you are calling for someone. You'll see what I mean in the sound levels.
And to you who thought it was an ambient sound, glitched or not, I can already say that this is not the cause.
I run a server, and build schematics in a lot of different worlds, and never have I heard this sound, and to this date, I still haven't heard it in another world.

And when it comes to the question "is there a dark place nearby", I have already answered that in earlier posts.
I blew a deep hole in the world down to bedrock, and started building there (Yes, it is a flat world). I finished the maze and started building the 2nd floor of the underground part of the tower. That was when I heard the whistle. I turned on survival (I placed mobs to give the player a challenge) and tried to come to the other side without dying. While doing this, I heard the whistle for the first time, but I figured it was simply some mobs dying in the lava I placed over the maze (with glass underneath). When I finished it, I went back and forth, thinking "What can I improve...?" Suddenly I heard the same sound that I heard several times earlier, and disregarded the sound for something I've heard before, because there are similarities. But I soon heard that I haven't heard this sound before in my previous times playing Minecraft...

So yeah... I have listened to all the sounds suggested by people, and more, and it is none of those. The train whistle isn't really even that similar to what I heard in the world. The closest I've come is silverfish dying in lava (I placed some to test if that was the right sound), but it doesn't have the "construction" of a human whistle. It's a squeek, while the human whistle is made to get someone's attention.

You could simply drop the stuff you wanted on the ground/place in a chest, then use /clear and pick it back up?

Looks good, you have what it needs to be successful in this.

There are obviously room for improvements, but that'll come with time. From the note that the characters look kind of stiff, it looks good, considering it hasn't gone through any editing if I'm correct.

So good job, keep practicing and you'll see that you can always improve :)

*This is meant as a positive feedback, so sorry if it seems otherwise*

Ok that's good to know :) That leaves one question (sorry I didn't notice if you were in Creative or Survival mode):

Using an Ender Pearl has a 5% chance to spawn an Endermite (a silverfish like mob that makes the same noises, but doesn't borrow into blocks and it should automatically despawn after two minutes). I'm also assuming that you're playing above 14w28a (before that version Ender mites also spawned from Endermen teleporting).

If that's not the case, then the only option would be to record the sound. :)

I forgot to reply on that. No, I haven't used any enderpearls or anything, I was only building a adventure tower, so I wasn't playing around (Although I do that often xD ) And yeah, I'll come to recording it when I have moved :)

Did you get the 'whistling sound' issue sorted? I've had that problem before, and the noise was coming from an ad in a minimized Internet Explorer window. My wife's computer will sometimes make random noises while she plays Sims3 because of a virtual pet. I've also had chat programs make noise while I'm playing PC games. Check to see if anything else is running, because you might have something running in the background that is making noise while you're online. Run Task Manager and see if you can identify any running applications or processes that may be related to chat or some other online communication software. But I really doubt that it's Minecraft making the whistling sound. Unless it's Herobrine. Or a whistling sheep.

Probably a whistling sheep. You're so right, why didn't I think of that earlier?!? :o
Lol, but no, I tried playing on it without any other apps running. Closed Skype, Chrome, Overwolf, Steam, Utorrent and every other app. Background or not.
I also ran task manager to make sure, and I found only java (Minecraft) and windows proceses. And as stated in earlier posts, I checked using the volume mixer (I'm running W8), and verified that the sound was coming from Minecraft due to a sound level spike when I heard the whistle.

But it is good suggestions a lot of you guys come with, there are a few I haven't thought of myself, like the silverfish and whistling sheeps

It is a superflat world, so there are no guardians there, and I have not placed any water, so that's highly unlikely.
I haven't tried /testfor @e yet, but I shall try that when I play that world again.

And as I said, it's a superflat world, so I doubt there are any silverfish there. Good suggestions though.

I am going to try and record the sound when I play that world again, but I am starting a server and am in the middle of moving, so I probably won't get on that world until a week or two.

What you are doing, is legal. But the ones who actually use it, breaks the EULA and could get in trouble, and in some cases, you as the maker too.

I'm not saying I know every bit of the EULA and how Mojang/Microsoft will act after it, but I would advice to not include anything that gives gameplay-affecting perks. Kits are very clearly stated in the EULA illegal. As well as the powerups you mentioned.

If you however deice to go forward with this, I would recommend "concealing" it as an adventure map part. Note, not actually work the way around the EULA, but simply make it as an adventure map part, where different kits do different things, but exclude anything that is connected to donating. If you do that, you should be able to stay safe, and the responsibility would solely go on the server owner(s).

But then again, I do not know exactly how they work by the new EULA... But that is what I would do to stay clear of trouble.

Haha, yeah. I was building in a LAN server with my younger brother when it suddenly chased me. I was like "WHAT IS THAT!?!? Help, it's so fast!!" and I ran in my house and turned on creative and took a screenshot xD

I mean most servers, not all... and and don't just mean vanilla because that's as unoriginal as the copycat servers

Well... Considering that we do everything with command blocks, and nothing with plugins or mods, I consider that pretty original ;)
