I can't see why someone would want a super flat Nether, but yeah it should probably be added.

DISCOVERY OF THE CENTURY! Nobody knew that! You're so smart in finding that! We couldn't even see it in the updates list! Thank you for sharing your wisdom!
Yes this is an old feature and was discovered quickly after the addition of Mooshrooms.
Jan 22, 2012fourwind posted a message on with writeable books coming would you like to see added fiction to the gameRandomly generated stories and crafting recipes would be nice.Posted in: 1.1 Update Discussion
I really think the Enderdragon lore should be confined to stronghold libraries though.
I think some other strange books should be possible to find, like sheet music for parts of the MC music, or poetry about things in the world.
Also the book sprite should be made so it can be colour shifted, so we can find different coloured books depending on their subject matter and rarity.

Why:They make height limit a single integer for modders to easy edit.
And im about to rant about this Java takes more memory thing:
i code in java myself, and i have to say,the Minecraft code is messy.
Java is not the problem when it comes to memory,it depends in 2 factors:
2.How the coder codes his game
Notch started off coding a little sloppy, meaning that the game would run on low
FPS.Now,they are cleaning up the code, meaning that you can run higher FPS.Notch started
learning Java from his dad and at home, always working with tech. From what im coding(making my own game
to tell you),Java can actually not take as much memory IF your code is all in order.people who say Minecraft takes
memory probably have a bad computer(i have a Intel family chipset, not really a computer for gaming),or just dont
know how to configure. And to add to that,Java takes less methods than other coding languages to do one thing.
If people actually knew there coding languages they would know.To add to that,Java is easy to start of while
C/C++ will need some time to learn.Want to know why the game is limited to 64 blocks? No,not because of java,as
Notch could add chunks that load when you go lower.64 is a coding number, this is how much "int" can hold,64(from what i know). It can hold -64 to 64,and adding this to a array makes the whole world "128".Now,since he has edited the code,
now anyone can change height limit.I know that if the game was written in C/C++,it would run a little smoother.but,of course,it would take way more methods to code the same thing.C/C++ uses many different things than Java,so people say its "better",when they can do the same thing. So,in the end,Notch will never convert the game,so shut up about it and do it yourself and see that there isn't much difference.
Sorry, but I can't help but chuckle reading this.
I have no doubts that you code in java, but I do doubt you don't get tons of errors.
There is a a SPACE after a comma, and a period. Why do people post THOUSANDS OF TIMES
AND STILL NOT UNDERSTAND THIS BASIC CONCEPTS OF GRAMMAR?
Jan 17, 2012I understand making flat maps deeper, but there is absolutely no need for tall grass.Posted in: 1.1 Update Discussion
Flat maps were made for CREATIVE. Tall grass will just be a nuisance for those who are trying to build things, with the map type that was created for building things!
And if you want tall grass on a flat map, you should already be in creative mode. So grow some!
Jan 13, 2012Age: 15Posted in: Minecraft Survival Servers (archive)
How many servers have you been banned from(list all and the reasons;Don't lie I've been banned from 4.):
Boy I do not know. I was banned for language on one, reasonless reasons on a few, "disrespecting" the terrible admin on one, you know. Silly reasons, don't grief that much though. And when I do, I don't get banned :S
What attracts you to this server?: The idea kinda reminds me of DarkRP
Have you ever been on any other servers like this: No.
Do you own an account for minecraft?: Yes, of course.
What would you like to see in the server?: I don't know yet, haven't tried it out.
Jan 9, 2012I went on a server once and found out that a group of people had made a faction of knights. I asked to join them, but they killed me. So I griefed the hacked iron castle they had occupied and used the iron and xrayed for diamonds. Then I killed them and destroyed their items. Then I spawn camped them, killing each of them 10-20 times using speed hacks so they couldn't run away. Then one of the guys tried to run to his "Hidden base" so I followed him, and due to a chunk error, I saw their hidden base. So I dug down, destroyed all their chests and filled the base with lava, then turning it into obsidian.Posted in: Discussion
When I grief, I choose brand new servers run by few people, or rude people. This all took place in a time span of less than an hour.
Griefing. Is. Fun.
I understand hating an individual for griefing you, but hating the concept of a griefer is proof that you are less human than us.
Jan 5, 2012Unburying this with a video update, don't watch this if you don't want any spoilers:Posted in: Maps
3 things to say about this video:
Quality sucks for various reasons. Sorry.
The next version of the map might not be released any time soon, but I'll try to get it out with as much new content as possible in the future.
I was on creative mode in this video, using smart moving. Actually getting through this room alive involves finding air pockets.

...9. The fact that it's only going to get worse.
10. Tall grass. Only a foreshadowing of the horrors to come...
Give me a source on this tom foolery or I will mark off everything you've just said as forum spam.
Dec 28, 2011Posted in: Maps[justfornarwhals]CASTLE OF INSANITY[/justfornarwhals]Hey everyone, this is my second map I'm sharing with the world. It is a location scavenger hunt, set in the headache inducing castle of insanity. Your mission is to find the special rooms by traversing the infuriating STONE TUNNELS.
The current version is 1.1, and I will continue to update it as long as people play and give feedback, and if I can get my procrastinating butt to play minecraft enough.
- No breaking blocks
- You can only place Torches
- Use Common Sense
- Don't get lost
If you play the map and like it, please click the little in the lower right corner of this post. Also, if you have any suggestions or feedback, please leave a post!
-Added 5 new rooms
-Small expansion on stone rooms
-Added "Return Tunnels" in the throne room

Aug 3, 2011The original picture isn't very dark, and I think that the brightened version was FAR from needed.Posted in: News
Then again my screen's setting are affected by my video card, but even when color correction is off, I can see the whole image.
More on topic:
I would like to keep Enderman, it was the first name Notch decided on, and if people don't like it it doesn't affect anything (read: past updates).
Jul 20, 2011Notch decides to add a new block/item/mob/feature. Everyone rages, says they won't play minecraft ever again, blah blah blah, and then when its finally added in, they are still playing, and making use of the new feature. EVERY SINGLE UPDATE YOU GUYS DO THIS. KNOCK IT OFF.Posted in: News
