I have nothing but praise for you, Dusty. I've been making use of your texture pack since its conception, and there are no others I value as highly. I have a habit of lurking, so posts by me are few and far between, but I wanted to thank you after seeing your updates for 1.1.

As far as the netherrack and brick go, I enjoy them very much. And, you textured the enchanting book! Too many people leave it with its default texture...

I've been playing Minecraft since a few months after it was shown to the public, around July/August of '09, and I loved the game since I picked it up. When SMP was released, I was overjoyed, and I spent the following months searching for a server to settle on. Unfortunately, a lot of places I've visited were moderated and administered poorly, and didn't hold my interest for long. From what I've heard and seen of this server (I've been on it as a guest), it offers an environment which I would be delighted to play in.

Outside of Minecraft, I spend a lot of my time attending to school. In my free time and during the summer, I play games and muddle about with programming.

Why do you want to play here? I've been trying many servers since one I had been moderating seemingly disappeared, and OmniCraft is the most alluring place I've viewed before. Many servers are often moderated and maintained poorly, but the effort to keep the server up to date shows to me that much care is taken in keeping this server in good shape. I think OmniCraft would be an excellent place for me to play and enjoy the game.

Where did you hear about OmniCraft? I've found the server on this forum.

Have you been banned from another server before? I've never been banned from anything, to the best of my knowledge.

Have you read the server rules? I've reviewed them thoroughly.

What will you build first, and how will you make it aesthetically pleasing? The first thing I do on any server is set up a site to store my stock. My next step is always expanding on my basic home, and making sure it is appealing to the eye. I adjust, add, and remove features to make sure the construction isn't an eyesore, and I will never settle with something that is.

Any additional info: Not so much additional information as it is a question; I was wondering if there were any maps available beside the dynamic one. I find they often never fully load, and can be quite buggy. It would be lovely to be able to see your world as a whole, even if the image wasn't constantly up-to-date.

    To sit in solemn silence...

Reason you should you be accepted: I've been server-hopping for some time, never satisfied with what I came across, and Herocraft is the first to catch my eye. I'm very interested in building in an environment like the one that this server offers. I've always been careful to abide by any rules that are given to me, and I am looking forward to being able to play with some of my closest friends who have chosen to make this server their home.

Thanks, but it was the wrong photo. What skin is he using the picture where he is not using the HL2 dev skin?

    Why, that's Eld's Art Pack.

Hey again, Frenden. I'm glad to hear you hope to have a customizer like painterly; I think that's one of the reasons it has such big appeal.

Once again, I've noticed a small error. You've corrected the tiling issue dirt had, but never updated the dirt.png to reflect it.

Thanks again for the wonderful pack.

Kudos on the excellent work, Frenden. This is most certainly my favorite 16px pack around here, and I appreciate the completion of it. I was very happy to see that you could get your Nether textures out so promptly, and I am loving them.

I've noticed a small error with the chest texture, however.I'm not sure if it's been pointed out before, but since it's gone unfixed I'll assume it hasn't. The hinges and gold trim on the backs of the chests are raised one pixel above the fronts and sides, making them slightly uneven.

It probably went unnoticed because it could only be observed if you were looking at the chest at an angle, and I don't think anyone really looks at chests from strange angles for very long.

My apologies if I'm misunderstanding your texture, it may very well be intentional. If that's the case, it's probably just my simple and uncultured mind's inability to perceive the minute inner-workings of masterful art.

Ahhhh, you are right. All starting characters should start out with an Old Rusty Knife. However, the Old Rusty Knife wasn't able to be equipped by Clerics/Warlocks. Fixed that. Equip it and you should be able to hit them.

Ah, lovely. Glad I could bring it to your attention!

Also, are there supposed to be music or sound effects? I've seen the options, and even with them on, I can't hear anything. There's files in the music folder, so I figure if they were implemented, there's no reason for them not to play.

    Okay, go here: http://www.ocxdump.com/cgi-bin/testwrap ... MSINET.OCX

Click download and place msinet.ocx in the client folder with the mirage.exe and updater.exe. Or Place it in your System32 folder.

Right click CMD and run it as Admin. Type in 'regsvr32 msinet.ocx' (with out the ') and hit enter. A message should pop up that msinet.ocx has been successfully registered. Click okay and try to run the game again.

Yeah, I had considered looking for a msinet.ocx online somewhere, but I wasn't sure if it would screw something up. Adding it to the executable's folder worked like a charm.

I do, however, have an issue with this cleric. He begins with 0 dexterity and if I am correct, my default attack (used by pressing Control) is unable to strike anything because of this. I'm stuck in the first room of blobs because I can't land a single attack. Can't buy Smite either, as I have no gold.

Edit:I managed to land a single critical attack (of 1) on one of the slimes, can't seem to reproduce it. It got bored and walked away before I could crit it again.

There is a new client out! Though you'll be able to still play with the old client you wont be able to see any of the items except Gold. So please redownload. :Sheep:

    Oh dear, more runtime errors:
"Run-time error '339': Component 'msinet.ocx' or one of its dependencies not correctly registered: a file is missing or invalid"

I'm running Windows 7 32 bit, and I do have the runtime packs installed. Sorry if I missed something. :Sheep:

Try downloading one of the library packs in the first post. If it doesn't fix your problem I can go into a bit more detail for you.

I have them installed, and the updater doesn't start. Both the updater.exe and mirage.exe report the same runtime error.

I have noticed that all these things seem to have a stat called 'speed' or 'agi', I have never worked out what its supposed to do. Any ideas on what its for?

Agility (agi) often is used to determine how able a character is to dodge things. It also sometimes affects movement speed, attacking speed, and accuracy--that is unless there are dexterity or speed stats.

Dexterity (dex) is nearly always used to determine how accurate a character's attacks are, and sometimes can help with damage using ranged weapons such as bows.

Speed (spd) is used to calculate how quickly a character moves or attacks

If you meant specifically in Mirage Realms, they're likely to do the same things, but I'm not entirely sure.

The bench looks amazing. Just to confirm, are those red panels on the furnace little doors?

Looking forward to seeing what you'll do for doors and chests.

could someone post a minecraft.jar file with all these mods already done (auto cart, on glass, underwater torch, and jump) because i am too stupid to know how to do these

Unfortunately for you, doing that would be against a policy Notch has held from the start; players aren't supposed to redistribute the .jar. However, installing modifications such as these isn't really all that difficult, and I believe there are quite a few guides around that can help you.

Assuming you're running Windows, it's as simple as finding the minecraft.jar somewhere on your computer (which I'm sure you know how to find, seeing as you're asking for one!), and opening it with a program such as WinRAR or 7-Zip. Minecraft cannot be running while you do this. Next, locate the files the mod provided, and drag them onto the WinRAR or 7-Zip window. It may prompt you with a dialog confirming your action, overwrite/confirm/whatever anything. Some mods require that you delete the "META-INF" folder inside the minecraft.jar, or some files therein. Deleting it should be as simple as right clicking the folder and selecting "Remove". After that, the mod should be installed, and should function properly. If anything goes awry, you can always remove your bin folder, which contains the minecraft.jar. The launcher will redownload it as if nothing had happened.

A few details may be different if you're using WinRAR, but I'm sure it's very similar to 7-Zip, which I'm familiar with.
