I am an IT student and our teacher told "DVI port doesn't use the analog-digital converter on GPU so that means more performance" if that's right,i may buy a DVI monitor
Err, no it does not mean more performance.

There is no difference between HDMI and DVI. There is no difference between VGA, DVI, HDMI, and DP outside of their max supported resolutions, that VGA is analog, and that there is more interference with VGA.

There is no "performance" or "color" difference.

    I wouldn't use hdmi.

dvi or display port is better.
DVI is literally HDMI without the audio channels (or if you have a device that supports it, it uses the analog output as audio channels).

    Has everyone forgotten about SteamOS?

Not finished yet, but it will make Linux gaming actually a thing.
    Hahahahahahahahha

The suggestion that Nvidia or any other company should play nicely with Open Source is based on nothing more than a feeling of entitlement.
Something something Linus Torvalds something something "Screw you, Nvidia" something something.

Seems reasonable at $40/year. Less than most out there. Seems like people find it quite reliable as well.

I'll think into it. I'm not one to download random files from websites I've never heard of, but occasionally it's nice to have peace of mind. Not that I download much anyway.
Just because you pay for it does not mean it is any good, nor does it mean it's free from malicious exploits or hijackware.

I don't think everyone should be going around installing Linux for any reason.
Clearly, you are on the wrong board.

Haven't you heard? DX10 & 11 games under WINE run 300% faster than on windows! And minecraft was coded with special binary code for linux machines, notch always used a linux rig to code!

It's just science, man, don't hate.

I've considered the Corsair Venegance 2100; however, I have lingering worries due to the Chinese spying on us (yes, Corsair is a Chinese brand, is it not? I don't know at this point.)
    Err, no it is not.

And the Chinese are not spying on us.

You need to cut back on the bud.

Or those random false positives due to magical heuristics or close matching hashes.
We just need to get rid of hash checking altogether, really.

Some of the smarter malware will have dummy files for the AV to scan so it looks "clean" when it is not. Or it will split itself into separate executables, all of which are safe on their own, but combined are malicious.

Though that's the least of the problems with how AVs work......

posted a message on Why is linux so bad for gaming?
Because games are made for windows.

When you emulate a windows game on linux, it will run slowly because it is emulating. Simple.

Though even linux ports of games run like garbage, this is a problem of linux and linux drivers themselves.

Linux is not a replacement for windows. If windows were a socket wrench, linux would be a screwdriver.
    Quote from SpartanBlockhead

I'm fairly certain that the rumor about it having bad FPS is false, but people say it's bad for gaming simply because very few games support it.
It's not. Games generally run like garbage under linux. WINE sucks, period, and even native linux games/linux ports of windows games run like garbage.

Performance is all over the place for no reason.

Oh. Well, I better go scanning. :l

Here's something that I found from Steam though, Link (https://support.stea...=4361-MVDP-3638)

Steam games which have been mistakenly picked up by programs such as NOD32, ESET, Avira, and others include:
    • Bully
    • Doom Rails
    • Ducati World Championship
    • Fallout 3
    • Iron Warriors
    • Left 4 Dead
    • Master Levels of Doom
    • Port Royale 2
    • Zeno Clash

Please note that this list is not exhaustive. We will continue to update this list as we become aware of any issues.

Not too long of a list, but mistakes happen :P

Still, I believe that ESET NOD32 is one of if not the best antivirus you can get.

You are missing the point, and that is showing them being picked up once in the entire lifetime of the program. Meaning chances are, they were infected on the customer's computer to begin with.

Well either way, you did technically pass the threshold which is $100, and the check is for $100, adsense can be wrong.

Though unless you linked those videos to an external site, getting such high views could be troubling.

No, I hate people who do that. All my videos were just Minecraft LPs and stuff except for a few.

The primary popular one was a computer unboxing that got 20,000 or so, and the other 20,000 was just gameplay videos with a few hundred views or so on average.
Are you absolutely sure? Because having only 118 subs and getting 20k views in even just a couple of videos is VERY abnormal.

Have you been participating in sub4sub or views4views scams?

If yes, this is why. I wouldn't continue it, because google has been banning and taking legal action against people who do this.
