I highly recommend using FRAPS, as it is a great screen recording software, and has a free and premium version. If you have money, and can spare cash, FRAPS is right for you.

Now, I can already see that people will start complaining about the file sizes being HUGE. On average, a 5 minute video can be anywhere from 3-6 gigs in file size. This is TOO large, and will take forever to upload to YouTube even after rendering using programs like Vegas Pro. For decreasing the file size incredibly, I recommend using a program called VirtualDub. What this program does is renders your videos using codecs, which greatly decreases the file size. Here is an example below, show from a 1 minute Minecraft video I made using FRAPS:

As you can see, it changed the file size from 443 MB, to 10 MB, which is AWESOME if you ask me.

This WILL not decrease your quality unless you use a bad codec, which might even make your clip size LARGER. I recommend using the Xvid MPEG-4 Codec, which works fairly well in keeping the quality, and reducing file size.

Minecraft is definitely not about that. Please tell me where you've seen horses, knights, and even fairies? I hate to bring you down, but this game is about creativity. Besides, Minecraft having space would be awesome, plus it would make the Hell realm (The Nether) equal in a way, instead of there just being one place besides actual Minecraft to visit.
My ideas of what this "Space" should be like if there is ever one to be developers:
- New Power sources like coal
- New landscapes like Asteroids, the Moon, and maybe even some planets?
- New items/objects: land rovers, Astronaut suits, and possibly even Space Shuttles
- New monsters: Aliens (not that I believe in them, but it would give a supernatural feel to the game, sort of like Herobrine)
I know this is A LOT of work that I'd like to see done, but this is probably no where close to what ALL should be added to make it 100% satisfactory.
