Sweat ran down Kyle's forehead, he felt the worn wood handle of his iron sword in his hand and watched as someone fell into a hole, a girl looking on. He was considering what to do in his head, a internal debate raged until he decided on a course of action.
He crept forward slowly from behind the tree he had been hiding behind, moving from tree to tree, when he was at the edge of the clearing he sprinted forward. He slid down the ditch, sword drawn, and before anyone could react he stood over the unconscious boy and pointed his sword down at him, he looked up and yelled "Hand over everything you own! Or else!" He left it hanging, his point made as he hovered his sword tip over the unconscious boy's neck.
Lightning flashed, showing a horrid scene. A innocent merchant stood alone, his iron sword lay on the ground all but forgotten, he looked scared witless, hands held high and eyes wide. A boy stood before him, holding a sword to the merchants throat, holding him ransom.
"Hand over your stuff!" Kyle yelled over the rain, the merchant slowly dropped all of his stuff and Kyle grabbed it quickly then muttered "Pick up your sword and go, before I kill you" The merchant relieved he wouldn't have to re spawn that day ran as fast as his feet could take him.
Kyle sighed, the merchant only had some iron and cobble. Nothing good, he sheathed his sword and looked up, the rain was slowing down and the lighting had stopped. He looked around then headed west, he had seen a little house there earlier...

It was all going to plan, but then the police showed up when one of Kyle's friends knocked somebody unconscious, his friends freaked out and blabbed everything and Kyle was caught. He was quickly banished from the city, but his friends got to say since they weren't the ones who planned it.
Ever since he has been living on his own, stealing and robbing and occasionally killing to get by, he was a criminal.
Personality: Will do whatever it takes to win, distrustful, mean, proud, confident.

Tergen was born the son of a decently accomplished raider, a decent warrior but not the best, his father brought him on his first raid at the age of 9. He was given a short sword ad told to stick with his father, he was the youngest in the raids and some would say to young but his father was a hard man who believed war should be taught young.
The boat landed with a thud and the men stormed onto land, holding weapons bare, it was a well off village but with little defenses. They destroyed the wooden palisade with ease and started raiding. They met little resistance and Tergen loved it, he loved watching the people cut down, killed. Slaughtered. He joined in with a screech of his own, the survivors would later call him the "Child Demon". He was quite the sight, blonde covering him, a mad grin in his eyes and a devilish glint in his eyes. He killed the young, old, helpless, anyone who stood in his path died.
After this raid his father realized his son would become a great warrior, and he took him on many raids and honed his son's skill, he died by a lucky arrow shot in a raid when Tergen was 15. Nobody in that town survived and the archer who killed his father was cruelly tortured, by the grinning devil that was Tergen.
He became a champion, none could best him and his sword simply named "The Bloodseeker". All feared his prowess. One day he heard of a city of gemcutters, vampires had recently cut down the garrison in a couple of brave raids and Tergen took the chance. The raid went well, they looted much and the bloodseeker spilled much blood that day.
At the end of the battle only a child got away, that child ran into the forest and became a vampire. Vengeance in his heart. Tergen had killed his family in front of him, he barely slipped away. This child grew to become a Vampire Chief, a powerful warrior, a devil to kill a devil.
This devil who went by the name 'Ruin' sought out Tergen, he took boats with his vampire army who numbered 100 and stormed Tergen's small city, his home. They killed much, but they could not win. Ruin left his army to fight the city garrison and he sunk away to Tergen's bedchambers where Tergen slept easily. He crept up to the man and raised his sword but in that moment, Tergen woke up and pushed the sword away. He knocked the vampire on the ground quickly and they wrestled on the ground. Tergen won but he got bit in the arm, he would soon become a vampire.
He realized he would be shunned by his own people, so instead of letting his legacy be ruined he donned a cape. Took his famous sword and headed out. Leaving his homelands, to new fortunes and to deal with the curse that is vampirism.
They are working on 1.9 at the same time, don't worry. If they don't release these bugfixes then we would have a terribly broken, easy to glitch, game.
Okay, if you downloaded the installer install it then run the launcher then you have to login and then you download it, you also might of downloaded the .exe in that case you should just have to login and then click "Play" and the game will download.

So Minecraft has no real end, there is a "Ender Dragon" which you can kill that leads to a sort of end screen but then the game just continue. You really don't have to ever kill it, I never have in fact. The vanilla game has no quests, servers might through the use of plugins or mods might add quests but the 100% vanilla game has no quests and is a complete and utter sandbox(If you exclude achievements).
And yes buy the game from minecraft.net and a good resource for minecraft info is http://minecraft.gamepedia.com which is the official wiki.

Hm, so it appears you can't login. I would suggest turning off your Windows Firewall and antivrirus's for a the time being and try to login.
