I made a mob farm using Etho's minecrack server design. I made 7 layers of it and was getting really good rates day and night, however since 1.3, My rates have substantially gone down. It's almost like mobs are spawning more in the caves around, which I have lit up, but all the small areas that are hard to find. Like I found 10 mobs in one small cavern. Was there a change?
Hello.
I just updated to 1.3.1 and started a new world and eventually was digging down to make a branch mine. However, I saw that the bedrock starts lower than usual, or it's just me. So, I usually branch mine at 10.6 or 11.6 in previous versions but in this situation I wasn't getting as many redstone/Diamond, so what is the new best Y level to mine at, or was I mistaken and unlucky.
Everyone who installed the windows 8 preview got screwed over. No Fix until your driver, be it DirectX or AMD, decides to support your specific video card
I've tried fixing this for like a week, so far nothing has worked. And btw its only a problem with windows 8 and Accelerated OpenGL, everything else works fine
The trick with getting older ATI cards to install on Windows 8 is to look for the 11-x generation of 64-bit Vista/Win7 drivers. Uninstall whatever's sitting in your Control Panel->Programs list, and then install the 11-x drivers.
I downloaded the windows 8 consumer preview not knowing that it would mess up minecraft. Every time i try to load i get this error:
Bad video card drivers!
-----------------------
Minecraft was unable to start because it failed to find an accelerated OpenGL mode.
This can usually be fixed by updating the video card drivers.
