    most tech world gen consists of ores. magic world gen is ... inconsistant. flowers, nodes, altars, beacons, and what have you. it would be many orders of magnitude easier to have tech as the 2nd overworld.

    this tells you what's wrong. perhaps a particle didn't have part of its code or a mod that changes particles messed with it.

    this says the problem is from an entity


    at thaumcraft.client.fx.particles.FXWisp.func_70071_h_(FXWisp.java:204)
    this says said entity is from thaumcraft. also: it's a wisp.


    at thaumcraft.client.fx.ParticleEngine.updateParticles(ParticleEngine.java:166)
    this says the problem has to do with a particle effect.


    does the problem still persist if you load the world again? is it a one time freak thing?

    so...

    are the hard ores supposed to work the fortune?

    i got 1.5 stacks of raw iron from one hard iron ore (a max one) with fortune three.

    without fortune i get half a stack.


    also: gold pickaxes just erase hard ores. *shrug*

    also tested with hard iron.



    PS: witchery hobgoblins are wonderful for hard ores :D

    MTUtils.setHardness(<minecraft:iron_ore>, 50);
    obsidian like hardness for iron ore. note: you can use decimals like 0.2 or 12.34

    vanilla.loot.addChestLoot("dungeonChest", <minecraft:cobblestone>.weight(100), 1, 5);
    spawn 1-5 cobblestone very frequently in dungeon chests

    use /mt loot for a list of chests and what they can hold

    Some of it is Latin, Bosnian, Galician, and Estonian. So if it's a mixture of phrases from different languages, it's likely gibberish meant to summon a powerful entity, or requesting power from it, like in a religion.


    Somehow it translated the first chant (Quas fenu) from Latin, which means "as grass". Wonder what that could mean?




    the second could be somni adfles (sleeping breath)

    i also tried.

    first off

    i got the first word from the first chant (chaus - chaos) but am lost on the second (fibor? figor? fibuor?)

    i kinda maybe got the second before i realised either the chant it distorted (very possible) or it's just latin-esque gibberish

    a 'show' like sound is apparently impossible in latin, only c can have sh but only before ae, e, oe, and i. otherwise it's basically a k
    i think my 'translation' was hillarious. conia adfles (stork breath)

    and lastly....

    it moves to fast for me to get anything other than 'tana tana lore eat'

    so...um... just how do you use the climbing pick? i can climb halfway up one block, but trying to go any further (be it up another block or just on top of the first block) results in a -tick-tick-tick- and i slide back down. can someone kindly provide some help?

    who said i don't have any other mods? the main mods i use are thaumcraft and minefantasy 2.
    mining iron ore with a copper pick skips bronze tools. thus my excitement over the setHarvestLevel command. :D


    EDIT: and besides tnt/creepers.

    OMGANOTHEREDIT:

    the problem is modtweaker. if i gen a world with mtutils and modtweaker it crashes. if i gen a world with modtweaker but not mtutils and then load the world with both it crashes. if i gen a world with mtutils but not modtweaker and then load the world with both it doesn't crash. ...odd.

    the thaumcraft bean issue was mostly likely this bizarre conflict.


    in conclusion, generating a world with modtweaker does something. *shrug*

    for anyone having this problem: entity ids seem capped at 255.
    going into config/MineFantasy2/Mobs.cfg and changing I:"0A: Basic Entity ID" to 220 fixed it for me

    i want to 'force' certain mods into the crafting system. :D

    One thing that really stands out is MUTils.setHarvestLevel.

    I can now make iron ore require an iron pickaxe! \o/


    Quite a few of the others seem to add features specifically for complex scripts (ex: getStringFromInt).

    I approve!


    EDIT:

    sadly, it seems to choke on thaumcraft's mana beans
