Previous RP experience: 3 maybe a low 4. I'm not sure.
What is Meta: Using information learned OOCly and using it ICly. Like ICly knowing my character has a voice in his head without my character ever telling them ICly.
What is Power Gaming: Becoming a god character or forcing things onto other players. Example would be a weak character killing a master swordsman.
Character name: Neilian Surtov
Appearance: Neilian is a small and young looking person. His black, overgrown, and messy hair almost covers his eyes. His eyes are two separate colors, one green and one blue, and they always stare directly at you. He rarely ever smiles but when he does, it tends to make those around him uneasy. Neilian is very weak and wears cloths that are to large for him. He wears a long, baggy, white shirt underneath a small grey shirt. The sleeves of his shirt are often bloody due to his constant nose bleeds. His pants sag down to his ankles and cover most of his feet.
Personality: What Neilian lacks in strength he makes up for with his mind. He thinks about many things constantly and often never speaks most of the things he thinks about. When thinking about certain things, like how he should act in a certain situation, he tries to think of all the situations that can happen and how he could avoid each one. This made him very useful to a bandit leader in the days following the plague. Neilian is also an introvert. He prefers to keep to himself and only thrives in conversation if it is with one or two people. When in a large group of people, Neilian will only speak when needed to and will often do so in very short replies. Neilian also prefers conversations about more meaningful subjects that help provoke thought. However, Neilian is never alone in his mind. After the embrace, he started to notice that one of his eyes was becoming blue. A significant person in his past had blue eyes and something trigered in his head. That was the first time he heard the voice. He now has a separate voice that speaks to him almost all the time. It does everything from entertaining him with talk or giving it's own insight to certain situations. Of course this voice is not real and was just made by Neilian, but he is fully convinced that it is real and that he holds the mind of another person.
((The voice is in RED.))
I wait, thinking to myself about all the things that had occured around me. Things moved so quickly and yet I felt as if nothing had happened no matter how many things had actually happened. I look at the man across the small room and start to think about him. What would happen if I never found him? How would I be? But none of that mattered. He was not my friend, he was my boss and he was going to stay that way. However, I still love a good conversation and hoped that he would start one. He looks up at me and I could tell by the look on his face that he was thinking about something. For the longest time, I struggle trying to start the conversation with him. All I'm able to utter is an emotionless "What?"
"Why do you think this all happened?" he asks."I see we're going to have one of these talks" the voice said. Ignoring the voice I say "I am truly unaware of how something like this could ever happen." "Magic" he said with a glow in his eyes "the gods are punishing us!" Silence fills the room. "What an idiot" the voice says. "No, he is just... slower... to new ideas" I reply. "Why do you even waste your time with him?" "I enjoy the company of others" "Liar! You can never even speak when in a crowd of people!" "I don't need to explain myself to you. You know me as much as I do. Now be quiet"
"I do not believe in that" I say. "Why not" he asks. "Are the gods perfect?" I ask. The reply takes a moment to come "Yes." I start my speech, "If the gods are perfect, wouldn't they create an ideal world where people could live without death or hatred? If the gods are perfect wouldn't we, their creations, also be perfect? Because if we are not perfect then that means that the gods have failed. Their creation is flawed and broken. It never worked. A blacksmith does not create and give a broken sword to a warrior, but yet this happened with us. We are the sword, the blacksmith the gods, and the warrior the world. Now back to the main idea. If the gods are perfect they would have known from the very start of our creation that we would break. So if they know this, then either two things are true. One, we are just these gods' play things. We amuse them with our lives and they laugh at our misery and death. Does not seem like the ideal gods you follow, huh? Two,the gods are not perfect. This contradicts many things. First off, it contradicts the belief that they are perfect, duh, and secondly it contradicts the fact that they have never fought amongst one another. We fight because we are not perfect, so it only make since that they would too." I take a breath and continue "I do not believe in the gods due to this reason. I don't wish to be their play thing and I cannot believe in them if they are not perfect."
A simple "wow" is all he can muster. The voice begins to criticize "Oh, look here! He can't even possibly react to all that! Idiot."
And so silence once again fills the room as I'm left thinking. This man, this dangerous man, was my only real friend. He had killed so many people in cold blood and yet I went along with him. This man was a leader of a large group of bandits, but they were nothing until I came along. I gave my thoughts and advice to this man for one reason. For one favor. I have yet to use the favor though. I knew he would allow me to do anything at this point, because under my advice he was able to completely eliminate all the other groups of bandits around us. We had gained many weapons and even a small handful of boats. That's what I wanted.
Suddenly he speaks up "I've been thinking." "Yes" I reply. "I know nothing about your past" he says "and I want to know who I've been talking to for these long months." I sigh before beginning and say "I'll tell you, but you better not interrupt me. If there is one way of ruining this it would be to interrupt me." "Alright" he says.
"I was born in a very large town, people were everywhere. When I was a child, I was very curious about the world around me and I took the time to learn as much as I could. I quickly became smarter than most of the people around me. After another year or two I became smarter than most of the adults around me. However there was one person who matched me in terms of intellect. This person and I began to have a bit of a rivalry. We tried to outsmart each other as much as possible, and when the great embrace happened and everyone begin to die around us, we quickly realized that the old rules did not bind us any longer. Both of us left the town and quickly found a small building that was no longer being used. We stayed there and decided, somehow without any conversation, that we would try to kill each other. The next week or so was nothing but us playing a game of cat and mouse until one of us succeeded in winning. I outsmarted him and won." "Those were the good ol days"
"How?" he interrupts. I sigh and continue "that doesn't matter. Also you interrupted me. Afterwards I traveled alone for the longest time, and I realized that my eye had become blue" "Are you really going to tell him this!? Are you crazy!? He'll think you're crazy and he'll never speak to you again!" I continue, unphased by the voice "then afterwards I met you. Of course you remembered what happened after that. You said that if I helped you, you would owe me a favor." "Yes" he says. "I want to use that now. I want a boat. I want to leave. I heard one of the men speaking about a new place with a queen. I heard it was safe. I heard there were people..." I say. "Alright... you may leave tomorrow. I'll get things set up" he says with an almost pained expression on his face. "Goodbye"

Previous RP experience: I think I would be a 3.
Character name: Jason Myrth
Appearance: Jason is a weak man who constantly seems to be lost in though. Dark bags underline his eyes giving the appearance of a tired man. His unkempt brown hair turns to sideburns that run down the sides of his face. He wears a simple brown jacket over a white shirt, with dark pants and a small backpack slung over his back that contains many of his books. He often seems bored.
Personality: Jason over thinks many things and has a wide range of topics that he enjoys writing about. When he writes he prefers to be by himself in an area where he knows that no person will bother him. He enjoys architecture and will often sketch ideas for houses or monuments in his "idea book". When it comes to people, Jason prefers to be by himself, but he can speak to them if he feels the need to. He is also very terrible when it comes to most physical activities. He often speaks with a monotonous voice that is devoid of most emotion and sighs when he thinks of new things. Jason is also afraid of thunder and will often hide inside when it storms.
A bleak, empty library devoid of any life. The sound of footsteps echo thorough the building rhythmically as a lone stranger walks slowly, scanning the surrounding area for anything interesting. Suddenly in the dull color of all the old worn books, one stands out from it's grey counterparts. A newer book that appears untouched. "The Autobiography of Jason Myrth". One would wonder to themselves "who was this man?" or "how would you pronounce such an odd name?" and simply carrying on with their lives without giving the book the proper read, but this stranger does. His curiosity knows no bounds.
So he reads... "Chapter One. As I am introduced to the world, a storm carries on, drowning out my frightful cries with heaps of thunder. As a newborn, I do not know what these frightening explosions are and it scares me. I am now a grown man and afraid of thunder. This is simply my way of telling you that anything could possibly affect who you are. There are so many variables that can occur in one's life that could make them a completely new person, but this only matters when your mind is still open and naive to the world around it. This book might change your insight to life or it might not, that is for your mind to decide.
I was born in the wolves den, I was born in Fairbourne. When I was a small child I was very well educated. The tutor seemed to favor me over some of the other students she had. I was called for each question and was always the writer of the "example paper" that the other students should have followed. My tutor would tell us of great adventures and the grand people who were a part of it, but she seemed to be more interested in the writers of the story and in due time I became more interested in them also. These writers had the creative mind that my young self began to wish for and I was soon told that they only get there by practice. Whether it was a way for my tutor to say "Anyone can do it if they try" or for her to give me hope that I could one day write even though she thought I would not, I wrote about everything. I would write about anything my young mind deemed worthy of the honor of being written. I wrote of monsters, adventurers, lovers, and exploration. These stories were short and very hard to read through, however I learned from others' writing and was able to improve my own."
The stranger reads about the man's childhood, but finds nothing interesting. Bold letters once again. "Chapter Six. Fairborne was a place that many believed had everything they could ever want, but it was missing many things for myself. There was a lack of adventure, something that I had written about very often. This troubled me as a young adult. I wanted to see the world, I wanted to see everything... I was a very naive person then. It didn't take long to find how flawed the world I lived in was. People died every day, they were slaves, they were used for gruesome experiments, all because of my king. He used to be a role model of mine, but when I found this out I was revolted. I became very bitter to everyone around me, which was something that I regret. My parents became nervous and afraid for me, but it wasn't until my former tutor had died that my true bitterness was shown. They called her a hero for educating the "elite" and it had made me so angry. "How could they call her a hero? Why do hundred die doing something heroic only to be called traitors and thieves? Educating children hardly seemed a heroic action compared to the people who rebelled against the evil that was the king." All these bitter thoughts flew though my head and I constantly was angry at those around me, and my writing changed; it became more negative. I would write about monsters killing, adventurers dying, lovers betraying, and explorations that lead to nowhere."
The stranger continues to read on and once again the biography seems to become uneventful. After another long period of time more interesting things begin to come up. "Chapter Thirteen. I was gone. I left Fairbourne the moment I could and have not regretted that decision to this day. I was finally free of the bitterness and I wanted to create a name for myself, but I couldn't figure out how to do so. After thinking I realized that my writing could easily do that, however I wanted to do something more. I thought about all the various things I had studied and realized that my love for architecture could be what I needed. I traveled for days and nights trying to find a decent place to start. I would never find anything. Soon I came across a small village and decided to build my own house near it. This proved to be a challenge. I had to pay people from the village for wood and stone, and soon I found myself without any money, so I started to write and would try to get people from the village to read my books. Most of the time they would ignore me, but some read the short stories and would ask if I had more. I never did have another book for them."
Once again the story flat-lines, but the stranger reads on seemingly hypnotized by the words. "After many years of writing I had made a small fortune, however something was still missing. I could not figure what this thing was. I searched for the answer and soon I found it. A mysterious land called Vilkaya seemed to call my name. Those who were sick of life here would travel there to escape the king. I am not sure what I will find when I go there, but I will say that that place is the perfect chance of a new life. That land is the only way to escape the king. I will travel to this place and hope whoever has read this debates to also go. Escape this evil, travel to Vilkaya and perhaps we shall meet. I know it is but a matter of time until the king finds out about this book and sends his men to burn it, but I do know that this book will convinced at least one person to go, and even if only one comes, it is one less person who has to suffer under the king."
The stranger thinks about this new land and leaves the library. The book sits there awaiting for someone else to find it. Unfortunately the next person who finds it will turn it to ashes along with the rest of the library.

Previous RP experience: I'll be honest, this is only my second character and I'm not that great at RP. I would give myself a 2 and I would love if someone gave me some pointers.
Character name: Vance
Appearance: Vance is a young energetic person. He is almost always smiling. His skin is slightly pale but he is very fit because of all the "adventures" he goes on.
(Sorry if the written part doesn't have enough details)
Personality: Vance is always excited about almost everything. He gets overexcited over most things and is almost always happy. He likes to meet new people and can often scare them away with how excited he can be to meet them. He also loves adventure and is good with a bow. However he can easily forget things and has trouble remembering his past.
Background Story: Vance was a young and energetic young boy who loved adventure. He would constantly run into the wilderness to have these adventures. This would make his parents very worried because they lived near Grennmoore and many terrible things lived nearby.
When Vance was on was of his "adventures", the fear that his parents had became a reality. Vance was runing through the wilderness when he noticed a small house. Filled with excitement and the belief that he could make a new friend, Vance walked into the home.
A corrupt magi lived in the house and soon found Vance. He corrupted Vance's mind and made him believe that the magi was his father. The magi tried to teach magic to Vance, but he was unable to do it. Vance could not grasp any concept of magic, however he could use a bow. For years the magi tried to teach Vance how to use magic but it failed every time. The magi became angry and decided he no longer wanted the child. He decided to test some large fox like creatures he had created, he gave Vance a bow and told him to wait outside. Vance went outside not knowing what to expect.
The fox creatures came out of the swamp and charged for Vance. Vance froze with fear as the creatures got close to him. He decided to run just in time to avoid a fast moving claw. Vance ran as the creatures followed him. They were faster and as he ran from them he could feel their breath on the back of his neck. Vance then stumbled into a large cave. His head met the stone floor with a dull thud and darkness engulfed Vance's world.
Vance woke up soon after that with a throbbing pain in his head and when he tried to walk he would fall down every time. He was lucky that his head didn't bust open. After regaining some of his strength, Vance tried to climb back up. Time and time again he failed until he finally gave up. Then he used his head. He had his bow and there was some vines in the cave. Vance grabbed a vine and tried to tie the vine onto an arrow many times until he got it right. He then shot the arrow into a nearby tree. Vance tried to climb the vine up but it snapped halfway through. He tried once more and got higher up. Vance was close to the top when the vine snapped once again. He quickly grabbed on to the closest thing that he could and with all his strength, he pulled himself to the top.
Vance walk through the swamp, looking for any signs of life. He quickly found a small village and talked with the first person he saw. The man who he talked to offered Vance to stay at his home, there the man told Vance of his son, who had ran off many years ago and was never seen again and how his wife had died trying to find him. The man asked for Vance's name, but Vance did not know of his name previous to the corrupt magi and told the man what the magi had called him, Child. The man seemed confused. Then he looked at Vance more closely and realized that this was his son. The man told Vance what he had discovered, but Vance didn't believe him and he walk out of the house. The man cried and screamed behind him "Vance, Vance!"
It took him a while, but he adopted that name, too many people ignored him when he said his name was child. Vance spent the next few years going on adventures and becoming better with a bow. Enough time had passed to call Vance a grown man but he didn't act like it. He was always over excited about things, had a tough time being serious, and he still loved adventure and became quite good with his bow, so when he heard about a ship going to a new far away land, he didn't think twice about going.

Appearance: Luxel is a small scared man. He wears disgusting, ripped clothes which he has not changed for many years. His soggy brown rags rip where he has been stabbed and his cold, black eyes seem to stare into one's very soul. Sadly he is very unkempt, his stench would cause skunks to die, as people said behind his back. He doesn't even wear shoes. His black hair is hidden behind his miner's cap, which is broken, useless and offers no light in even the most dire situations. Luxel is always covered in grime and he is always sweating, a combination which helps contribute to his appearance.
Personality: Luxel is a very quite person, but the slightest complication or insult can cause him to become very angry and cause damage to the area around him, but Luxel can be a very friendly person and a strong ally, if you can get past his smell. He dislikes any rich people, bandits, and water. Luxel dislikes water because he has hydrophobia, the fear of water. This is also why he is so unkempt. He does like helping people like him because he believes that if he helps people then they will help him.
Background Story: A baby is born while it's mother dies. Before she dies she whispers one word, "Luxel", a word that means strong. This is the beginning of the newborn Luxel's terrible and horrific life. For the next five years Luxel would live with his broken father, but his father was a gambler and lost all his money on bets that couldn't be won. Luxel's father lost owed money to a rich noble man who hired thugs to kill Luxel's father. One day there was a loud banging at the door. When Luxel's father opened it two men grabbed him and beat him to death infront of Luxel. Then the men turned to Luxel and grabbed him. One of the men turned on a sink and the other one dunked Luxel's head into the water. The man pushed and pushed until Luxel's body went limp. He had been drowned but, a traveling magi had heard the commotion and rushed inside to Luxel's aid. The men ran off and the magi casted a spell that removed the water from Luxel's lungs and replaced it with air. Luxel began to awake and saw the magi. He would never forget his face. then he noticed his father. He crawled to his father and removed the one important thing his father owned, his mining helmet. The magi had left. Seven years later Luxel had on thing on his mind: revenge. He spent weeks tracking down the nobleman who had hired the thugs to kill his father. Luxel found him and left his dead body in a river. The next two years of his life was horrible. Killing that man had left him scared and he wondered if he should even be alive after what he had done. Luckily he noticed a small child sleeping on the ground. He decided that he would help the poor at all costs and offered the child some of his food. Five years later Luxel was thrown into jail for a crime he did not commit. A nobleman had claimed he saw Luxel killing his dog. Luxel spent those five years keeping to himself and constantly getting beaten and stabbed. One day he decided he had enough and he knocked out a guard and escaped the jail. The next four years of his life, he hid from noblemen and guards, and before the opening of the portal, Luxel had heard of the magi who where going to create a portal. Luxel wondered if the same maji who had healed him would be there and he decided to search for them, believing that the maji's portal would take him to a new life where he could become rich, but he was in for a rude awakening. When he found the portal, the world was falling apart around him, he lunged into the portal and awoke in Iriliath....

2 hunger (maybe) and about 6.8 saturation (just a random number)
Quote from Last_username_Im_gonna_try
Should do 2 hunger 1.5 sec of fast health regen and a small speed boost for 20 seconds.
Ok so 2 hunger is good, not sure what saturation is, and I like the idea of the small speed boost and fast health regen.
May 19, 2013Alright, so lets update the idea a bit shall we? The default ice cream made is vanilla. You can add coco beans to vanilla to create chocolate ice cream, or you can add strawberries to vanilla to make strawberry ice cream. Now if you combine the three you make neopolitan ice cream. You craft the consumable ice cream with a wooden bowl. You craft the cake-like place able block with a bucket. So, any idea on how many hunger this creates???Posted in: MCX360: Suggestions

It's already different. We have things the PC version already doesn't have. Once we get to the equivalent of the PCs 1.2.3 version, 4J will be looking at ways to take the Xbox 360 Edition in a different direction than the PC.
What would be the equivalent of 1.2.3 be?
May 13, 2013Posted in: MCX360: SuggestionsQuote from Last_username_Im_gonna_try
What about ice cream Sundays which would be all the ice cream flavours ontop of a glass block and cocoa beans for sauce in the crafting table?
It would be peaceable like cake and could be eaten three or so times.
The glass block would turn into a bowl if I wasn't clear on that.
I like that idea better than the bucket of ice cream I had suggested.
May 12, 2013Posted in: MCX360: SuggestionsQuote from MechanicalWood
Evilmonkey13 I love your idea and it sounds great
To make the icecream we'd need a snowball, sugar and milk
For chocolate icecream we'd just add cocoa beans
For strawberry we'd have to add strawberries and it would be great if they where added to the game
Other flavor I thought would be cookie flavored.
Another flavor would be watermelon and maybe even combine the strawberry icecream with the watermelon one to make a better icecream that gives more health and so on;
And another thing; what would be the base for the icecream? Would it be a bucket or maybe we could craft a paper cone or maybe a glass bottle? Or maybe we could use a bowl (the one used for the mushroom stews)? Another suggestion for the cone could be that it could be made out of a cookie.
Your idea is great.
I think the main three flavors and the neapolitan ice cream is enough, but maybe the crafting recipe would be used with a wooden bowl.
Quote from ugadogs98
Id like some foods that you can place on the ground like you can with cake
Perhaps if you craft the ice cream with a bucket you can place it like cake and if you craft it with a bowl it would be consumable item.
