These are my favorite type of land formation in MC, yet I'm too perfectionistic and have yet to build in one of them yet. Then again I had never found one this nice before. Gotta think it over before I make my house...
This was my first, randomly-generated, test world for the 1.8 update. I spawned in a kind of crappy forest next to a desert and plains area, played it for a while but wanted to find some more varied scenery to build seriously in. I followed a river and ended up here, it's a combination of forest, swamp and mountains. This cavern is so epic I don't even know what to do with it yet, so I just went back to my swamp base to think it over...
From inside with seed and coords
Toward the back end of the cave, looking to the front entrance-- it has another opening on the other side that goes into a sheer cliff area.
There's also an opening/drop into a subterranean cave with a lavafall, which I have not explored.
I'm female, I use a female character skin, and pretty much always choose female avatars in games, but I don't really care about the features of the Steve. If there were a gender option, fine, if not then fine. I do agree that the grunt noise is annoying, though. Makes me feel like my character is an orc or something, but I just ignore it.
OP just happened to suggest something related to gender/women. This will always attract flamers, for some reason I've never understood.
Does it have a bit of mountain/elevated area there and there? If so, it would be PERFECT. Anyhow, i'm gonna try both so
Heck yeah it does. Just wander around that spawn landmass for while and find a few pretty epic things-- the area to the southeas, where you see all those little islandy bits (and the torches and torii gate for my base) is just FULL of big overhangs and arches. And there are some hardcore huge caves including probably the most dangerous/crazy one I've found. (can give coordinates for some, if you'd like) I have tons of screens but haven't uploaded them yet.
It has many other awesome features, but the area just south of the spawn region is a massive, thick, very-easy-to-get-lost-in forest with ocean close by. Some places in there are riddled with holes and caves, and there is a surface dungeon (collapsed sand cave) in one of the big sandy areas in the forest.
So I was playing around making some seeds, laughing about how amazingly crappy this spawn was. I was considering signing out and deleting it, but decided to let it generate a little more while I continued to laugh.
Seed: Curry is NOT a beverage (Typed just like that.)
I walked for a Minecraft day and didn't reach the end of the snow biome, the only non-snow area I saw was what you can see in the upper left corner of this screenshot:
There's a cool exposed cavern/tunnel with a waterfall and some coal:
Mostly flat tundra but I walked pretty much due west and hit a forest with lots of pumpkins
Some surface lava in a hillside (and reeds that have broken off themselves somehow?):
End of the day and the snow just keeps going:
I've never seen a snow biome this big, so thought it might be useful to someone out there.
Therizinosaurus (With capital 'T', no species) was my main world for a while, until it got corrupted and I ragequit it. I explored it to something like 125 MB and found several awesome features and gigantic cave systems. Start here and continue on for a few screenshots of the old generation I was playing.
Falcarius utahensis -- Spawned in a big tundra/taiga area, ice ocean as far as the eye can see, and a small area of grasslands on one side of the landmass, with a couple of interesting features so far Pic 1, Pic 2
Giganotosaurus carolinii -- Spawned right next to the biggest floating island I've ever seen. I'll probably explore this one more as it looks like there might be more cool things.
Miragaia longicollum -- nothing mind-blowing, but this spawn has a lot of really nice features IMO-- a very attractive bay bordered by rolling plains and a forest, lots of exposed caverns, a pumpkin patch, a pretty cool lake that's enclosed on all sides by mountains.
I'm having the same problem. I've closed Minecraft and re-saved the inventory multiple times, but I still have the same stuff as before I logged out of the game. I really wanted to get a portal and load Aether in this test world, to make sure it works before I start messing with my established worlds.

Wait what just happened, are you replying to a deleted post?

Yep you're the only reply so far, lol.

There are some other cool mountain features in that area as well. Map:

Haven't found a cave system yet, but I have an underground swimming pool, and my little stair-stepped mineshaft got me a vein of 8 diamonds
I also ended up with nearly 11 full stacks of clay from two deposits that were just around the area
Good times.

The landmass here is surrounded by this interesting barrier-island type of formation, I think it looks really cool
Overhang up close
Just behind this overhang
The other side of the whole area, what is up with that weird floating island?
More stuff forming around the other side of the landmass
Looks like there is a pretty big waterfall on the other side, but it was getting dark by then
Seed is a sentence so include the period: Sanae is a good girl.

Ha! It must be the power of Moriya that makes it extra crazy...
I haven't had the time to mess with it, so if you've found anything else I'd like to see!

It references my current avatar: :cool.gif:
If my game weren't lagging so badly tonight I'd explore this seed some more. Perhaps someone else will find even better stuff.

Then I turned around
