posted a message on I can't play minecraft when I upgraded to Windows 10

    Hi,

That error is directly related to the graphics card driver so I would triple check you have the right one installed, and make sure it's compatible with Windows 10. Also, try to restart the PC if you haven't since installing the driver!

    posted a message on Advice

    Hi,

When I first started my server it was the same way, we got some regular players but didn't grow very fast. The way I was able to make my server grow quickly was to catch onto the Prison trend right when it started. We changed the server to Prison, immediately after we say 100+ player counts the next weekend with just a little advertising.

My advice is to find a new and interesting game mode, or to think of one and try to find help making it. Players join servers to have fun, so if the game mode is fun the server will grow and build a player base (think ShotBow making MineZ). Another way is to find YouTubers who want to play on your server, though this is more expensive and doesn't result in a lasting playerbase unless the server is unique. Players are loyal to servers their favorite YouTubers play on, but unless you're willing to pay to constantly to have videos made your player count will always be declining!

tldr; be new and creative, make it fun

posted a message on No multicraft! 8gb, 24/7 support. Any offers?

    Hi,

I would recommend a VPS or entry dedicated rather than going with shared hosting for your server. Pixelmon + 40 plugins and MySQL would run on a good VPS or dedicated and you can get whatever panel you would like

Just my recommendation as a server owner in the past,

    Jeff

    Hi,

I would recommend following the official guide for sponsorship requests as it makes it easier for hosts to get an idea of what the server will be like.

What are your plans for getting players? How will you build a community aside from paid advertisements?

posted a message on Poking around a bit for a reliable host

    Hello,

ExileServers could offer you the hosting solution you need, Minecraft Cloud is definitely the way to go for someone wanting SSH usage and Multicraft for a reasonable price. We can offer 6GB of RAM for $30/mo (or less with a promo) and this includes all the features you mentioned.

    More info: https://exileservers.com/minecraft-cloud

The best part is you can have SSH access (root) without any limitations, and the 6GB package comes with a 5-server Multicraft license but you can upgrade this if you wish.

Feel free to PM me if you have any questions,

    Regards - Jeff

This is probably how they are capable of "getting away" with it because a dispute is not easy nor "quick" that most customers probably just think "oh well I lost $x/$xx" and deal with the loss.

Yep, and because the items are intangible the host can pretty much win every dispute (even services not provided at all). PayPal is less than willing to help out when it comes to intangible items claims, they usually just close the case if either party brings it up in my history with them.

If this issue hasn't been resolved I would open a PayPal dispute. If I was ordering hosting services and this was my experience I would almost certainly move hosts, unless I had been with them for a long time. As others have stated it's quite odd for an experienced host to have Multicraft daemon problems... They could have a DDoS attack taking down the node, the daemon could have just stopped and not been restarted, or they could have it setup incorrectly, either way a professional host would have this fixed ASAP with at least a partial refund to the clients.
