I really like this idea guys! I like the "games" aspect because people always get POed when their character dies. I'm thinking we would have more than just 8 players though... Also what if we had teams? I can think of some characters that would just make the coolest teams ever.
@HugTheZombies: Yes the Gods is great fun... I think I might make that one (I'll make some of the others of course), it's not too hard to GM as there is no major storyline and it's always fun to see what people come up with. Also with the demigods, if you wanted that in a less modern setting, the Gods allow that. The cool thing with that RP is that you don't just have to play as a god, you can play a hero or demigod in the world you create. If you create a post-apocalyptic civilization game I would join, I think it would be fun if you made it like a rebuild game where instead of a clean slate you have to rebuild off the leftovers of things around you.

No, I think we should be able to use the old gods along with the alien gods and some new ones. Diversity, creativity and stuff... I can already see it :]

With the Demigods idea, since it is Sci-fi based maybe we could have the society based around these demigods instead of just having them pop up randomly. Maybe they are hunted or admired. I'm not sure where I'm going with this but it seemed like a pretty interesting idea at the moment.
Your idea could become the plot for the pioneer RP if you are okay with that. I think that could make a really fun Rp.
Serious, deep thought RP. Sci-Fi are my favourite, I would even consider abandoning some of my cureent RPs if you manage to pull off good sci-fi RP. Other RPs might sound good for me, but not to abandon other RPs. And I think I somewhat like Demigods. Oh, Sci-Fi demigods would be awesome actually.
Skyrim RP is really easy to pull off: The world is ready, app and rules are obvious, everything you need is good story and some dedecication.
Don't waste your time on useless zombie RP. It would turn into a one-liner hell.
Gods seem very hard to pull off without having users to go insane. I was on previous one (back in forum games times heh...) and it turned into a mess.

EDIT: Iron, I would love to have another try at it too and I agree that the level literacy needed to be increased. Unfortunately, Omni requires many people to work and the grammar is a turn off to some. If I did make it again the grammar would be much better enforced (no more script text... that made me want to punch things).
I have been gone from these forums from far to long but my urge to Roleplay has come up again. I looked through the currently active roleplays and sadly none of them seem to interest me (not to say there aren't quality ones out there, DrNightKOT's are brilliant, they just currently don't interest me) So I have decided to GM another one. Unfortunately, I no longer know what you guys want, both in terms of quality (free, casual, or andvanced)and topic. So I have presented a few idea below, let me know if you are interested in any of them. Feel free to barrow any of these, just give credit. Also I'm open to suggestions. Here we go...
The Gods
This was my first roleplay (back when it was in forum games) and we had a lot of fun with it. You were a god and you helped shape a new world. You could play as a hero of your god, one of your gods creations, a civilization that worshiped your god, or the god itself. Just a gigantic sandbox with lots of room for creativity and worldbuilding.[sarcasm]Surprisingly[sarcasm/] it died from a conflict between players that was about God-Modding. This remake of course will be more controlled and hopefully we won't have the problem again.
A MSPA
I love these things! I'd love to make this one. For those who don't know, it stands for microsoft paint adventures, Google it please if you are unfamiliar. This would take a lot of work and planning but I would like to do one with multiple authors in separate threads/stories and eventually connecting into one big story/thread. Not exactly a roleplay but still interesting and fun.
Demigods(remake)
You play as a Demigod, trust me it will be better than the original... Honestly I was disappointed in that one it showed so much potential but no one would make an IC post. One of the downfalls of the original was the lack of plot, I had it setup as a sandbox and it just needed more structure. In case you didn't figure this out you play as a demigod in modern times. (we will need to develop a plot later for this one)
Omni(remake)
Lat remake here. Bascially you can play as any video game, novel, movie, comic book, board game(yes there are some good characters from board games), or any other fictional charcater you can think of. We place all the character on a random world from any topics in the above statement. There will probably be a Boss on each "level", anyways the characters can fight each other, team up, interact, pose as a team because **** just got real(yes another MSPA reference). Fractions will probably develop and what not. It's bacically the ultimate sandbox crossover. I've ran this one 3 times now and each time it has failed. There are obviously some changes that need to be made to it though. I'm think of having one constant setting(maybe Earth), a new revamped plot, and make it more character interaction based.
A Sims-like game
It is what it says, you play as a person. You can build a house, get a job, mug people, pretty much anything you can think of to do around town. There will have to be some numbers involved in this, how much money they make, how much things cost, ect. Kind of a roleplayers bar/coffee shop thing, except a whole town.
Pioneers
This one could have what ever setting you want, exploring wild west, colonizing new planet, steam-punk, American industrial age pioneering( I personally think it would be awesome to combine these two), ect. This really could be number based or story based or even a bit of both. So basically you are colonizing/poineering/settling this area. You could be a bandit terrorizing a group of settlers, a settler, a scientist, really anything with an excuse to be discovering a new land. All the character could be together or apart in different parties. This would be fun but it obviously requires some more planning.
A Civilization Game
This one describes it's self. A game where you play as a nation. This would be a number based game where you start off as a simple tribe and slowly advance to modern times and beyond. This would be a slower paced game, with building techonology and discovering things being turn based. There could be a story telling side or not depending how creative you feel. There would probably be maps and other features involved in this.
A Skyrim Rp
It would be incredibly hard to pull off, and I have already seen a few of these... but admit it, its just to much fun to yell FUS RO DAH at your computer screen.
A Grand Battle
Now these are very interesting and has its roots on the MSPA forums. Basically there are 8 contestant that fight to the death in 7 rounds. I (the GM) decides who diesin each round based on votes from the contestants, bystanders, and my own personal views. Most of the time it is decided who dies by how well written the character is. You play as an original character. Also the writer of the character chosen to die writes the death scene. There is still a few kinks to be worked out with this one if you haven't noticed already.
A zombie Rp
God, I hate these things but if it what you guys want I will put a twist on it and try to pull it off.
So that is all i have for now, I will most likely update this later. Also i maybe do multiple of these or combine a few of them. Also feel free to suggest ideas or shameless promote your own rp in here.
(Most of us human players already got past the point of getting the mail and their game past their guardians. Your character can do the same to catch up. The human kids all know each other, of course.)
