posted a message on New plugin: Visualize player activity and contributions on your server.

Epilog creates visualizations like heatmaps and tables to show you, for each player, how many hours they are putting in, how many blocks they have placed/broken, and how social they are. You can keep this data admin-only or share it with other players. We will keep adding more stats and graphs: what else would you want to see on your players? http://www.curse.com/bukkit-plugins/minecraft/epilog . Demo at http://heapcraft.net/?p=data

Epilog is a part of the Heapcraft project: a bunch of computer scientists and social scientists offering open-source collaboration tools to server admins, like social compasses and real-time visualizations. We believe Minecraft can tell us important things about collaboration, creativity, and humanity. Contribute to science while helping your server: http://heapcraft.net

Important Note: Epilog sends behavioral data to a university-hosted server and performs periodic self-updates, by default, though you can turn these features off. We will use your data to serve your visualizations, to improve the other plugins automatically, and ultimately in our academic research on cooperation, education, and creativity in games. Your trust is vital to our success, and we work hard to earn it: http://heapcraft.net/?p=privacy

posted a message on New plugin: Social compass for finding other players in-game.

DiviningRod compasses will point you to any place, player, object, or mob. New targets can be created by placing signs with hashtags. And if you want to find player "joe", hold the DiviningRod and enter \dr tag @joe. Use this plugin to tell others about interesting places or to find moderators and other players. To find the current closest player: "\el tag player". Players can opt out in case of PvP. http://www.curse.com/bukkit-plugins/minecraft/diviningrod

posted a message on New plugin: See in the tablist what others are doing this second.

Classify adds to your tablist a live description of what others are currently doing: (m)ining, (f)ighting, (e)xploring, (b)uilding, and (i)dle. This makes it easier to find other players for projects or adventures.
