posted a message on encasing blocks in barrier blocks
When I heard about the new barrier blocks, to be added in 1.8, I thought man, this will be helpful! then I started thinking about it.. and that's when I realised, that it was impractical for many situations, and you can just use bedrock instead. It might be helpful for some things, but not for a lot of others. And then I came up with this idea, Encasing blocks in barrier blocks. Now to avoid any nonsense with things like shift clicking, and blocks with a GUI, I want to make it an entirely new block, called an encasing block. Same as a regular barrier, it could only be gained by /give. how it differs though is that when you click a block with it, that block becomes unbreakable to anyone not in creative mode. It also works with redstone, making sure it doesn't break, whist not disrupting any redstone mechanics, also allowing it float in the air when there isn't a block underneath. I'm not at all sure it would even be possible, because I have no idea how minecraft's code works, but I think it would be helpful to map makers.

it is possible that you were really unlucky, and an enderman teleported into your line of sight. It's unlikely, but I've heard of it happening before.

posted a message on shift left clicking items into crafting grid
The inventory controls have been drastically improved for minecraft and they're almost perfect. the one thing that annoys me is that when trying to make large quantities of items in a crafting table, and your using a stack of each item, you have to drag each stack into place manually. I know its not much, but it is enough to annoy me.

so what is the solution? well you probably guessed from the title. adding in a simple control that makes it so holding shift and left clicking puts the items directly into the crafting grid, starting at the top-left, then the top-middle, the top-right, the middle-left, and so on. Shift left clicking an item already in the crafting grid sends it to your inventory again.

its a simple problem, that I imagine many people would like resolved, and a simple solution, so please support this idea, and say why you don't like it, if you don't.

I like this idea. the only problem I see is that someone could appear to have full diamond armour, whilst in fact they have nothing.

I like this. so long as it can be put in command blocks, because something like that would be infinitely useful for maps.

posted a message on What do you think is the rarest item in Minecraft?
an argument could be made that lapis is the rarest. Lapis is actual rarer than diamond, but it has more per vein, and drops multiple per block.

posted a message on Best Minecraft Glitch You've Ever Seen?
yea I've seen that glitch before, it also works with trap doors, if your inside a block like sand, or if you open a trapdoor to the block your standing on, and log out, then back in, you will appear in the next spot above you that doesn't have anything there. If you know who Zistau is, he used it in mindcrack season 3, and called it a log-out-avator. Its very handy.

posted a message on Dip your sword in a potion!
I like this idea, but I think you should do it in a cauldron, just so that it finally has an actual use. just put the potion in the cauldron and then right click with your sword, to put it in there, but you would have to let it soak for a while, which means you cant just stock up on a bunch of potions, and continuously put them on your sword.

posted a message on Silk touch II
I'm not one of those coding people who knows everything about everything to do with things like this, but I imagine that every biomes blocks would officially be a different version of the block ( jungle grass, taiga grass, etc.), and when broken with anything but a silk touch II silk touch I tool, it will revert to its normal form, so just a regular dirt block, then with a silk touch I tool they revert to grass blocks, and with silk touch II they wouldn't change at all. As for the transition between biomes, you'll notice that if you open F3 the biomes change instantly, so there technically isn't any real transition at all.

posted a message on Silk touch II
So there occurs to me one problem with the silk touch enchantment, It cant keep a biomes colour for grass, vines and leaves.
That is why I am suggesting silk touch II. Its a simple enchantment, that's not overpowered in any way, and is purely for aesthetic purposes. It would have about two thirds the chance of getting as silk touch I. When anything like leaves or grass, that changes colour when taken into another biome, are broken with it, you will get that biomes version of the block (e.g. swamplands grass, or jungle vines, or taiga oak leaves) and in addition to this it works on snow covered grass, meaning we can all have lovely white grass without the actual snow.

This is a simple suggestion that would hardly affect normal gameplay, if the player did not want it to, so there is no need to rage and say "this is a horrible and should definitely not be added!". That's about it, so please say if you like this idea and if you don't like it, please say why, because people rage at me way to often.
