Jul 25, 2011It's hard NOT to share an interest with other people. You aren't the only person in the world enjoying what you enjoy. It's impossible.Posted in: General Off Topic
Honestly. Whats the point in worrying about that kind of garbage? Being unique? Impossible.
I mean, christ there's a famous quote from an artist on this.
Nothing is original. Steal from anywhere that resonates with inspiration or fuels your imagination. Devour old films, new films, music, books, paintings, photographs, poems, dreams, random conversations, architecture, bridges, street signs, trees, clouds, bodies of water, light and shadows. Select only things to steal from that speak directly to your soul. If you do this, your work (and theft) will be authentic. Authenticity is invaluable; originality is non-existent. And don’t bother concealing your thievery - celebrate it if you feel like it. In any case, always remember what Jean-Luc Godard said: “It’s not where you take things from - it’s where you take them to."
— Jim Jarmusch
Just live your life. Do what you enjoy. Everything else is noise.
Besides, isn't identifying yourself as a hipster, putting you into a group of like minded individuals? Effectively making you a follower of a specific mindset? Which at this point doesn't make you anymore interesting than anyone else.
Jul 24, 2011Put most of it away. Find a fairly decent place to live. Work a steady job to make sure I can save the money for my children and their childrens children. So on and so forth.Posted in: General Off Topic
And then just live life leisurely, do what I want.

I suppose you could be mature in some ways...but in all honesty...you're brain still isn't fully developed. You've yet to reach maturity, both mentally and biologically.
Course...I guess it all really depends on how you DEFINE maturity.
Jul 22, 2011Whether or not you believe in global warming, how can one say we have absolutely no impact on the environment? I don't see how anyone can say we aren't ruining anything at all. Or they roll their eyes at the prospect of eco-friendly ideas. It sounds like people are just avoiding responsibility.Posted in: General Off Topic
I mean, I'm no greenie weiny. But I know I'm not the center of the universe and **** everything else. I at least try to do little things. Save energy, recycle. Not waste water. That kind of ****.

I know what you mean, I live in the bible belt. Basically
I don't actually have a job, so when I go to school I just hear whatever their parents told them about politics, who aren't very bright either.
I don't really understand that kind of conservatism. I have a really good friend thats moderate, but tends to towards conservative views. Quite possibly the most intelligent and well spoken guy I've ever known. He knows his ****. And he's not a douche bag. He isn't ignorant or racist by any stretch of the imagination. AAAAAND he's an atheist. We talk all the time. Coolest dude I've ever met. I don't know much politically, and we discuss a lot. Which you dont get too often anymore. The art of conversation is a dead art.

"The hopeful, scheming left waited. They watched and they waited. And in 2012 elections came. They sat back in their chairs and they waited for the undoubtedly good popular vote results to come in. Little did they know the wave that had swept across their liberal base just one year ago, across college campuses and the eldest pupils of high schools and the young, newly employed of our country, a tide of change instigated by none other than a badly graphiced Swedish game. The left waited and when the results came, they saw just what Minecraft had done they realized it had spelled their doom. The creeper had one last surprise in store for the world after all."
It all makes sense now.

Hopefully they will.
Most of the people I see who voted didn't even care about what obama was talking about. It was more about "YEA HE'S A BLACK PERSON!"
Well. I live in the midwest. People in the midwest are insane. And when they're angry, they say lots of stupid ****. And when they're scared, they mobilize like some kind of weird slightly angrier version of what would be considered sheep.
I don't really know enough about politics to really say who's good. I'm honestly too busy trying to meet rent and find a good job to really pay attention to politics. So I can't really say who is the better candidate currently. What I do know is, is that there is a lot of irrational hatred towards this administration here in my hometown. Thats not to say this administration HASN'T done stupid ****. But there's a lot of fear mongering going on here in the bible belt. And fear tends to be the ruling factor for the hicks that reside here (that and a lack of education. Looooots of idiots in the general public). So I get to hear many ignorant comments at work. But then again, a lot of these people can't figure out how to use a Kroger self check out machine. Yeah I know. You're going to say they take Amuurican jobs. The jobs already gone you ****. It's been gone. FOR A WHILE. And besides. WHAT JOB? No one WANTS to be a cashier. If anything it creates more jobs for the people who constantly have to maintain the piles of crap. BLAH.
My point being, a lot of this anger and fear is going to bring the conservatives out in droves this year.
While the young crowd will be too busy sleeping in and playing minecraft.
I know I made many sweeping statements just now. But honestly, I hate the general public here in my hometown. So I couldn't care less.
Jul 21, 2011Obama won't win. I'll tell you that much. Especially since the previous election was so influenced by the younger crowd. They won't be coming out this time. But the old farts will. In droves most likely. I mean....I'm basing this on the crazy old twats I see at my part time job.Posted in: General Off Topic

Who doesn't... apart from the people who don't.
I don't like cats.
Well, let me rephrase that. I don't like OWNING cats. I enjoy them. But hate to own or have one in my home. Their **** can literally destroy anything, and the smell never goes away. That's why cat people, especially ones with more than 2, generally smell like cat ****. It gets into everything.
Which reminds me of a story.
My girlfriend promised to take care of a cat from her work place, atleast until the owner got back from a trip. It was the shop cat. He literally lived in the shop (it was a pet grooming place). At most.... the cat was by itself was overnight. But since the shop was going to be closed all week, she offered to take care of him, and got the bright idea to bring him back to the apartment. So we loaded up our car, put the cat in the crate, and drove off. Everything was fine. That was until the little ****er pissed and **** all over its crate, and even managed to get some of it on the car seats. The smell has never come out. It never will. We've tried everything.
Then, after we got it into our apartment we tried cleaning out the crate in the bathtub as well as his stinky cat ass since he pissed and **** all over himself. We did the best we could but ended up just throwing the crate outside because the smell would not leave the apartment. Both of us were getting headaches. All in all, it made everything a bit better. Things started to slow down. The litter box and food was all set up. The cat was finally calming down since it about had a heart attack from being in the car. The little ****ers can't handle change without their stupid little cat brains signaling a panic attack. Everything seemed fine.
Then, later in the evening when I was brushing my teeth, the little asshole came into the bathroom. I kid you not, he looked right at me, meowed, and took a fat **** on the floor in front of me.
I was like, "oh ****. You did NOT just do that". So we literally got the keys to the shop, drove him back, and left him in the shop. We were trying to be nice by allowing him to stay with us for the week until the shop owner got back. But we said **** it. We just let him stay there by himself and checked up on him from time to time.
And no we never did anything harmful or mean to the cat. Why would we?
Hell, my family used to own a cat. So I have nothing against them (well, okay...maybe some). I grew up with one. I know where their charms are. I know why people enjoy them. I used to love them, and sometimes still get blinded by the cuteness of the spectacle. But it's too little for all the crap you have to put up with from them. They'll bite and claw you at any given moment, especially if you happen to accidentally inconvenience them. Or they'll **** on your floor as an act of revenge. Ya know, because you had to bathe them after they pissed all over themselves and smelled awful (we even tried using a special spray to clean him so he wouldn't have to 'get wet'. Didn't work).
Cat's are assholes. Plain and simple. They act all silly and lovey dovey, but they'll sooner bite you and claw you for all your love and attention. I've come to the conclusion that cat owners are like the abused wife that's been beaten by her husband and keeps coming back. "oh he only hit me once, but said he was sorry and it wouldn't happen again. I know he loves me. He was just mad is all. Lost his temper. "
What was this thread about again?
Furries are silly.
