Find a pack that has a cobble texture that you like, open the .zip file, and then delete everything except that cobble texture, the folders its placed within, pack.png, and pack.mcmeta. You'll then have a working pack that changes nothing but the cobble.
I'm rather proud of my pack's cobble texture. You should check it out.

That's a pretty good balance between looking mine-crafty and looking like a dinosaur.

There's not much reason to mix anymore anyway. Texture packs can be easily stacked in-game now.

I used to think that would be a big pain, but i realized I can add alternate downloads to the curse downloads page. I'll try to remember to do that with the next download.
Thanks, i like to hear from new users and see the Lithos Banner!

You don't make things look golden via saturation -- you raise the contrast and add reflections.

No, that is taken care when the game loads up or you switch texture packs. Then the texture pack(s) is/are converted into a form that minecraft uses at runtime. Once you are playing the game there's no difference in how MC reads default or any other pack.

I'm not sure what you are asking me. But I can't think of any features I've dropped in a Lithos pack.
I do realize the fast leaves are messed up in the latest Christmas release-- i'll fix it.
