I've already fixed all the things mojang broke with two exceptions: the font and horses. Those will take a while, but they won't hold up my first release. Vacation is over-- i'm working on it.
CTM is unassessed, since Optifine isn't out, but likely things are broken there too.
I don't use a development environment, I don't really know how to set that kind of thing up. The biggest issue some sort of automation could address is volunteer contributions, which I must integrate by hand.
The new held items, not so much. Many of the vanilla ones are actually more recognizable or "visible" than this texture pack. Meats such as pork chops are unrecognizable, especially when obscured by the corner numbers. Rabbit meat is almost definitely a hat. I frequently mistake arrows for sticks. It's also difficult to tell when my bucket is full of something or empty.
I agree that some of the items have go too abstract and unrecognizable. The latest release fixes some of that, for instance buckets and arrows.
There's more work to do, but that will have to wait until the release cycle is complete for my main pack, Lithos:Core.
The different uniforms won't show up without Optifine.
All my testing was with pre-existing villagers, and changes showed up instantly, but it might be different if you have interacted with the villagers. I don't know why you had trouble.
Thanks for the report, but it looks like a basic Minecraft transparency glitch, such as you may see with default. I don't think there is anything I can do about it.
The main feature is overhauled villagers. More variety and more distinct outfits, but with Optifine each sub-occupation has it's own outfit. Never confuse an armor smith with a weapon smith again. Farmers are no longer green.
Changelog:
Fixed Dandelions z-fighting with optifine snow
Mods: (again thanks to Eonaut and Nazenn)
Iron Chests updated to 1.12 including shulker boxes (complete)
I would like also give a little bit feedback about some of the textures, namely those of the villagers. They are a little bit weird yet funny, only I find them also a little bit confusing.
The farmer has namely a green robe with a black apron, so he can be easily confused with the nitwit or the blacksmith, because the nitwit has also a green robe and the blacksmith has also a black apron. The blacksmith and butcher are however strangely wearing brown robes again.
So my question is: is it not a better idea to give the farmer the same brown robe as that of the blacksmith and the butcher, and then also of course remove his apron, or give it it's own color? He would then be much more consistent with the other villagers and better recognizable on his own, I think.
Good point, I made the farmer green before the nitwit was a thing that appeared by default.
However, in the 1.11.2+ versions of the core pack, Thermal Foundation Ores are not textured. I believe this is because they broke the mod up into pieces for it's updated release which made any previous textures for their ores no longer recognize properly. They really stick out and break the flow of the pack.

1.13 content is not all textured.
Due to the many changes Mojang has made horses and the font have reverted to default for now.

Awesome.

I having a hard time understanding this post.
You seem to be saying the moon is not retextured. Lithos has had it's own moon for years. I don't know how it could not be visible for you.

Thanks. I've fixed that for the next release.
I believe I fixed the issues with missing 1.12 textures in the release earlier this month.
Good point, I made the farmer green before the nitwit was a thing that appeared by default.
It's hard keeping up with the mods. Noted.
