or, you could re-download the minecraft launcher, go into options and force an update and that should remove all of the mods you have installed.
He also means how do you get rid of modded items because if you try to open your save with new blocks (i.e the Portal Gun) ons an unmodded MC w/o the modded code it blackscreens.

Whenever I try to connect to ANY server it displays the message Connection Refused: Connect. I searched this and there have been a lot of posts, all asking the server administrator if the server is offline, theyre off the whitelist, etc. They all seem to be from the last couple of days and I was thinking is this some sort of bug? Is there any reason why I cant connect to any server? (Even my own?)
That's not exactly possible... In fact that's not at all possible. Where are you going to find a 3D map of a town, let alone a city to convert into Minecraft blocks, and Minecraft doesn't even have enough block materials to even compare with the millions of colours possible on a satellite image/map.
There is a program, however, that turns 3D models into cubes - and you can then use the cuby design to replicate in Minecraft. I found it on CraftHub, it's really neat. I guess if there is a 3D render of a real life Swedish area and nearby landmarks, you could make it blocky with the program, and then manually recreate it in Minecraft (you will have to choose the blocks however).

I have seen a lot of people building Swedish buildings for notch on his birthday and Christmas etc and I think to take it one step further and to make a present for everyone else too, someone should create a program that you load a real life map into and it turns it into a minecraft map OR make a minecraft map of the world using MCEdit and make it possible to download a different one for where yhou want to spawn (NY, Sweden etc)
I think this would be a huge project but if you manage it it'd be awesome.
