    For those of us who like generating our terrain from heightmaps, I found an awesome tool for editing them: http://hme.sourceforge.net/ enjoy :)

    rofl, as a warning to others, you probably don't want to use the following settings:
    [Map Gen Village]
    mapgenvillage.enableAdditionalVillages=true
    mapgenvillage.additionalVillageProbability=1

    it creates a high probability that villages will spawn on top of each other, and become unrealistic. i tried setting additionalVillageProbability to 10, and got good results, with villages all over the place, but none too close to each other. :)

    HER = High Efficiency Recipe (see: http://www.sargunste...iciency_Recipes)
    Corners are what you get when you saw a Moulding, which you get when you saw a Siding, which you get when you saw Planks. :)

    protip: sawing corners will give you two gears

    yo clintonio, enjoyed this mod for a long time... was wondering if you have any plans in regards to the new ability to manipulate biomes? it'd be awesome if biomes had dynamic elements to them too... like beaches could form between plains and oceans, but not extreme hills and oceans... rivers could help forests grow, and without a river a forest would slowly turn back into plains. plant enough tree's in a desert, and maybe it starts to change back into plains, or find some extreme hills that reach above block level 200, and it will change into ice extreme hills. stuff like that. it could go even further, such as hell might spill forth from a nether portal if left open for too long, but that sounds less like NO and more like it should be a different mod entirely.

    anyway, it'd certainly be a challenge, especially getting it balanced right so the entire world doesn't end up taken over by forests, but i was curious if you had any interest in taking Nature Overhaul in that direction?

    is this a fair reason to report someone?
    "reported for consistently asking previously answered questions and ignoring the answers provided, only to later make stupid comments. if not troll, is so stupid is a danger to society."

    jeb also said he'd be releasing documentation regarding the new Anvil map format, so you shouldn't have too many problems with luck :smile.gif:

    what i'm really looking forward to is the changes regarding biomes. biomes will now be stored within the save file, making them editable... finally, no more searching through 400 seeds to find one that kinda matches the island i build in worldpainter... soon i can just change the biome!! wooohoooo!!! at least, i hope you're looking at the idea Captain Chaos :smile.gif:
