Sorry again, I just use bedrock cause I didn't think about Survival aspects. Obsidian would be the correct choice for sure. I don't even know if you can obtain bedrock in survival. I'm a noob in survival concepts, but am good at building redstone stuff. Glad it helped though!

Okay my bad, the dust on the beacon only works prior to 1.13. You can use a hopper instead (I forgot those can't be pushed either). And yes the blocks with the arrow are observers (forgot to remove my texture pack before uploading).

Another tip is to place the magma/floor blocks last, cause things will be jumping around while you build it. And as for the other design, use bedrock behind your pistons so it can't break.

Do the cobweb/minecart thing in the case they don't have a minecart, to buy some extra time. Then after you turn a couple corners, make a bridge with the rail on it go over a cave lake of water, and have a secret tunnel under water. Jump off your minecart and push it along, then you jump in the water and go through the secret entrance. The rail tunnel keeps going till it loops back to where it started, or just dead ends. Now you go through the underwater tunnel and come up to a room with a nether portal. The nether portal takes you to the nether and a hallway path leads you to another nether portal 128 blocks away. That one puts you in a room in the overworld with a ladder going to the surface for an escape. But, you never went into the portal. There is a secret door in the first portal room that takes you to your safe room. The follower is now 1000 blocks away from you on the surface.

Do you want the floor to be able to open both, or is it just either/or? If only either/or, then I'd just make 4 magma blocks, then on top of those have the moveable regular blocks. No need to move the magma blocks in that case.

But if you want to be able to open both and make a hole, I attached a circuit that will work. You MUST use a non-moveable blocks like bedrock and a beacon. The beacon (or similar) must be used so the redstone doesn't activate the pistons that the torch is controlling (beacons work like non-moveable half slabs). The observers update the pistons next to the bedrock since they will activate 1 tick before the torch ones and get stuck otherwise.

EDIT: Forgot to add the open floor/closed floor toggle line. This essentially turns the observers off so the bedrock piston don't get updated and stay retracted. The only issue is you have to toggle the main switch after changing the open/magma switch.

You're welcome! And if I'm not mistaken, this is called an IMPLY gate.

Input 1 goes into a torch, Input 2 goes into a repeater, then OR the outputs.

Why not simply hook 1 piston up to a lever?

You could make a 1-minute clock that goes through a counter and resets after 11, and only take the output from one of the counts.

In the attachment I made a circuit for you using a looping hopper counter, with only 1 item inside that gets passed around. The Etho clock outputs a 1-tick off pulse every time it cycles, so you can use that to keep the hoppers hot. I used 12 hoppers in this loop, so one hopper does not get redstone dust on top, so as soon as it gets the item it passes it along to the next one, making only 11 hold locations for the item. Output from this hopper if you need a 1-tick pulse, otherwise you will get a solid signal from all the others.

Your repeaters are facing the wrong way on the return side. If you look closely, repeaters are kinda shaped like arrows, pointing in the direction the signal will flow.

Command blocks are cheats, so what's the big deal? But if you want to spend far more time doing something than you should, go ahead. I'd simply WorldEdit it and be done. It literally takes less than 5 minutes to download and install Forge and WorldEdit.

posted a message on One input 3 outputs in 1.12

So, to be clear, you need a circuit with one button, and each press of the button cycles through 3 separate outputs, 1>2>3>1>2>3>...? If so, you need a sequential counter.

posted a message on I just redeemed a code on microsoft.com and each time I click on install it says "Sorry, there's a problem getting this info."

Go to the Microsoft Store App and download from there. But, this Minecraft version is buggy...I cannot play the full game, only the demo, so good luck getting this to install correctly and work!
