The server is currently reset and has a time extending plugin so that you can enjoy Minecraft longer.

On the minecraft startup menu, you know how theres always a catchy phrase flashing in yellow on the right side of the MINECRAFT logo right? Well, i just saw one that said, Seeecret Friday Update! I already know for a fact that those logos can be slipped in without updating minecraft. Do you think friday will have an update? I sure hope so. Maybe notch has trolled me or something, but maybe not. What do you guys think.

Back in before alpha days, Notch used to do secret friday updates with small surprises in them.
They are no way related to Minecraft Beta 1.7.
Every map has a seed. You just have to use something to get it if you didn't remember what you put/made your map pre-seed generator. They could get it but it could take some effort.
It has a seed, but if you were to punch the Alpha seed into Beta, it would give a completely different result. New ores were added since alpha, and other things too, so that's why.
I don't do that on my server, but most girls when they join just get really bitchy. They ask me to change the time to day and when I tell them no, they go all ape ****. I didn't do anything, nor did I change time when a guy asked me. When I say no to a guy, they say ok...
