posted a message on My dad ruined my username!
uminer is a great username, its simple and trust me destroyherobine439 was not that good. You would get made fun of for that. The point of a user name is so you can connect with friends and they will remember who you are. I used my nickname "dunie" and made duniecool (because dunie was not long enough). My username may not be the coolest but it works out fine and nobody cares. You really couldn't go wrong with your username anyway and on some bukkit servers you can even change it if it bothers you that much. Also, its cool to have no numbers after your name because then you know your the original and nobody can copy your name :) . Cheers mate, dont sweat it.

posted a message on Minecraft taken. HELP!
Alright, hey all you awesome minecrafters on the forum. Sadly, I have not joined in on the minecraft fun for a couple months now... why you ask. Because it has been banned from my house. I am a 16 year old teen, top of my class grades, great social life and lots of friends, and involved in a sport for each season at my high school and even was the most valuable player in 2 of them: tennis and cross country. However, none of these facts have helped convince my parents to get minecraft back. I would be very happy if any of you could give me suggestions of how to get this great game back. If the background helps, I believe it was taken away because I was playing it "too much" maybe 4 times a week and heavily on weekends. I was very into the game and had done everything. I had over 15 stacks of diamonds in each main base (I stopped mining for this reason) and my world was comparable to that of ethos and docm77 ( I am a big builder, miner, mechanic, inventer of mob traps, machines, etc. and do almost everything in the game). Also I ran a vanilla and tekkit server with friends and together we did the same things I mentioned earlier. I put many hours into the game and knew how to do anything (this information may help too). Also my dad is 62 years old and an "outdoor maniac" so he wants me to do more things outside and doesn't understand the fun, creativity, and imagination put into minecraft. He calls the game a "beepbeep game" his vocab meaning video game. Also, if it helps I never showed my parents any of my minecraft creations. I bought the game the day beta 1.8 came out and since those 2 years they have yet to see any of what I have done. Video games are hated by my parents and I am not allowed to get an xbox even if I were to buy one myself, for this reason I never told them about my worlds in minecraft (they would think it was stupid.) All my creations have been revealed to my friends alone mostly because my parents didn't care. When my dad asked me to stop playing I inferred that his main reasons were A. He wanted me to spend more time outside. (which is void because of sports.) B. Because "all video games destroy imagination and do not lead to creativity" - from my dad (which is void because of course minecraft is creative). C. He hates my love of technology. (I cant change that). And D. We just don't get along very well. :(

I know this is a lot of information and it may seem impossible for me to get minecraft back, but all replies would be really helpful and I know that some of you may have the answer. Just think about what you would do if you were in my situation, because it really sucks to lose something you have invested so much time into (aka servers, builds, worlds, mods, friends etc.) Well that's all I have to say, hope to read some replies soon!! :)

posted a message on Minecraft Lag!
I know that alot of people, including me, have tons of lag. Can you guys just post things that can make minecraft run better and smoother. Thanks, I know that this will help alot of people because I know that the lag minecraft has drives people crazy. For example: I have a lenova ideapad v460 and I get about 15 fps on normal and fast with optifine.

    Thanks a bunch
