My function keys (f1 - f12) are working improperly. Mind you, they do work, but they have the wrong functions set to them. Is there any way to fix this?

You have the config files for NEI wrong. NEI is disabled in the config file. It's a fairly easy fix (just change hidden=true to hidden=false), but it caused me to reinstall everything twice :'( If this wasn't you, I apologize for the accusations.

Other than that, thanks for this! I also managed to squeeze Optifine in there, and I'm planning on using Nature Overhaul as well (love it, but it's still 1.1).

And the Sparrow API can be installed last, or, as I assume, at anytime.

Basically, type 192.168.1.1 into your URL bar. Then, use http://portforward.com/ to help you learn how to forward the correct port. It varies from router to router, unfortunately. But, the basic info is that you open the desired port (usually 25565), and forward it for both TCP and UDP forwarding. After that, you should be good. In order for others to find your server, they will have to know your external IP address; you can find this by going to http://www.whatismyip.com/. Simply take that IP give them the IP in this format: <yourIP>:<yourchosenport>. Don't forget the ':', there's a reason I bolded it.

I wonder if people know what the word 'LOGIC' means, sense when in hell did we actually have to go to.... HELL just to make lanterns?
No really, go back into your history books and tell me. Even if that was gaming logic, it would be over the top and just plain retarded.

Bob - Oh hey Joe, im goin to hell just to make me a light source for my house! *Gets ready to cut throat.*

Joe - Ah shoot Bobby! Ill come tu, fiht sum ghats' wih ya! *Grab sword and shanks self.*

    Bob - Moron....

    Seriously, 'LOGIC'. Its mandatory.

Well, unless you have a better Idea, I think this is a good one.

Oh yeah, hasn't ANYBODY learned that flaming doesn't get ANYTHING done? I mean seriously all you said was that it's a bad idea to have to go to the nether to get a fuel source. You never used LOGIC to state a better point, so therefore, your LOGIC is invalid.

posted a message on SUPER TORCH AND LANTERN TOPIC
    So I've been thinking... Since
    :Red: = Hellstone
And :Red: burns forever, it should be the primary fuel source. But it would be a bit unreasonable to have a whole block as a fuel source, so maybe you could find some way of turning :Red: into a fuel source. Then, have the layout of the lantern as the following:

    [] :Glass: []
    [] :Red: []
    [] :Coal: []

Of course you could also add oil so instead of the above:

    [] :Glass: []
    [] :Yellow: []
    [] :Iron: []

Oil would sit on top of water, leveling out until it is 1 flat shape above a water source. It should also be found underground, and lights on fire when not around water, if exposed to fire(i.e. if found from a cave). Acts the same as water, and is collected in buckets, it should also replace, or be better than the bucket of lava in furnaces

    My overall idea would be:
    [] :Iron: []
    :Glass: :Red: or :Yellow: :Glass:
    [] :Iron: []

Edit: The fuel source above from :Red: should be :Yellow: if at all possible.

Does this have to be updated for v1.2.2 of Minecraft? Because my friend's server says 'outdated client' whenever we try to play...

If your client updated, you can't play on outdated servers. And thanks Hey0.

So how do I fix this?

First, you need to log in to your own server. Open the server, then open minecraft. log in, head to multiplayer and type in 127.0.0.1:25565 (this is default unless you changed ports, or don't use 127.0.0.1). You don't have to mess around with the server too much at all, if at all.
