    Hello people of the Internet, today I want to show you a map me and some friends are working on:


    A Mario Party 1 remake in Minecraft!


    So far most of the boards are built and ready to play. (I would say the project is about 35 % finished so far.) What I need now are people who help me "program" the minigames and/or people who help me make some models.

    I would also like to hear your opinions on the project. Do you think it is something people want to see or will it only be interesting for a small amount of people?

    General info to the game:

    Mario Party is a game based on a board game. Players choose one of six characters and move around the board. As they go around, they collect coins and various other items that can help them or hinder others in their quest to collect Stars.

    What sets this game apart from others is the mini-games that follow each round. The players will be grouped together in groups of two, three against one, or everyone for themselves. They then compete in a game that tests their reflexes, puzzle solving skills, or plain luck. The winners will be awarded coins, and in certain mini-games, the losers can lose five coins each. Mini-games also exist that allow players to steal as many coins as they can from each other. Both of these features were removed in future installments for being too harsh.

    Water has a hardcoded model, so there is nothing you can do there with 3D models :/ (at lest for now)

    you could texture each side differently if you wanted to.
    so, the answer to your question is yes

    there is also a way to make a texture/model "randomly appaer" (with a certain probability) with the normal model (for example adding an apple at the bottom etc.)

    The blocks don't have to have the same texture to be honest. It can add more variety like this.
    You have to keep in mind that this isn't the default pack, so not everything that works in default works in Dokucraft.

    I personally would like more "default inspired" prismarine blocks, but they are alternatives and it's fine like that.

    Yeah, I think you posted it a good while ago, still looks nice ^^.
    Making Husks mummies sounds like a good idea, but I think they spawn in hot areas in general, right? (Savanna for example) So it might look weird for mummies running through Savannas etc :)

    Shouldn't we focus on already WIP mod support though and finish them, instead of starting a new mod support (again)?

    Creative pack won't be updated, because since 1.8 there are no "unused" Sub-ID blocks, so you aren't able to have differnt looking blocks depending on the damage value that aren'T used normaly. CIT should still work I guess, but that can mess up with the item models ...

    So, as you can see, the creative pack doesn't make much sense anymore ... (unfortunately)
