posted a message on Raised bridge stuck 'on'... any ideas?

It looks like the power is coming from neae the center of the wire. What's back in that little hole on the left? That repeater looks like it's infinitely powering the circuit

    See what I'm getting at?

You're implying that people would enter in both Top Chef and Redstone Wars for the same reason, when this is far from the case. In Top Chef, there is a prize, is there not? Some sort of a deal where they get to cook some fancy place, or win a lump sum of cash, yada yada yada. The intensity of Top Chef comes from the fact that they are all fighting so hard to win the same prize. Here, though, it's purely for fun. If we offered a $50,000 prize like they do, I'm sure tons of people would be interested. It's just a different scenario. The purpose here is to test yourself and build for fun, not to stress over building a contraption under time constraints.

If the judges and contestants all already played on the same whitelisted, plugin-ridden server, sandsalamander's idea would obviously work to perfection. It's just not possible with our current contraints.

Sure is a lot of talk about how a contest should be run, when A. it has no reward (is purely for fun), and B. you are not even entered in it as a judge or competitor. Hmm.

When is this happening? I will only join if it's 1 day instead of 3 days.

You don't have to build on all three days. The idea behind this system is that you can build any time in the 3 days that you are free, and then submit it whenever you're available so long as you are in by the deadline.

This should be posted in the redstone discussion forum.

Nonetheless, my Youtube channel is mainly devoted to redstone. My proudest build is the world's smallest flush quad extender (with block):

posted a message on Need help making a pulser with exact timing
By beginning with a dispenser inverted, shooting an arrow 9m takes between 16 and 17 ticks every time. This is as close as I can get.

One other at least psuedo-16 2/3 tick generator is this, where a boat detector is activated. The second picture shows the red (boat output) appearing to activate less than a tick before the 17-tick blue (control) line.

posted a message on [3x3x1] Tileable RS-NOR Latch
Just did a little playing around with 1.5 logic and created an extremely small RS-NOR latch. It's 3 high, 3 long, and only 1 wide, plus the whole system is tile-able. It's an extremely easy build, and is perfect for all your RS-NOR array needs.

*I was sure to check the thread of redstone designs before posting to avoid reposting the circuit.

The only thing I haven't mentioned is what's inside the hoppers- one block of any type inside one, and nothing in the other. Pressing the buttons switches it back and forth.

    posted a message on admin
As an admin of three years on a server, I can promise you that asking for a rank is the single quickest way to get moved to the bottom of the list. I don't care how nice you are, how good of a builder you are, or how political you are with other members- if you're annoying, you get bumped to the bottom.

Another thing is this- don't post topics on the official forums to help you with your little server issue. The only way to EARN a staff rank is to play often and EARN their trust.

On a side note: that server I've been an admin on for so long has never received any of my money. If they say "you have to donate to get a rank" it's not a good place to play to begin with. They will take your money and ban you.
