Could you perhaps link different signal strengths to separate clocks? Depending on the size of the project, this may be drastically more (or less) efficient.

9. Water Bucket
They're not on the hotbar, but I also designate some slots directly above the hotbar in my inventory (denoted by the symbol "^").
^3. Hoe (if applicable)
^8. Additional Food
Obviously this changes sometimes when I'm building, mining, etc; if I'm just doing general exploring or daily work, though, this is my go-to.

I don't know how strict you are on age, but it sounds like you are more concerned with maturity, in which case I think I can still fit in despite being a little younger than requested.
How old are you? 17, soon to be 18
Whats your IGN? FromTheEdge
Male/Female/Prefer not to say? Male
What time will you be playing? I work part-time in a Tropical Smoothie Cafe, so my hours vary more than I would like.
Do you have teamspeak? I can get teamspeak
Have you played in a whitelisted SMP community before? Yes, I admin'd a fairly large whitelisted server for a couple years. I stepped down because life-y things started happening to me much younger than life-y things are supposed to happen.
How long have you played minecraft? Since Beta 1.3.01
Whats your favorite thing to do in minecraft? Redstone. Everything about it, but especially the hilariously useless circuits, such as hidden workbenches and things of that nature. Also high-detail builds on a small scale.
Is there anything you would like to tell us that you think may be relevant information?
While I may be a juvenile (for 33 more days), I am far more mature than most of my peers. I was named a Presidential Scholars semifinalist by the United States Department of Education, meaning I am one of the top 7 students in my state and top 689 nationwide. I will be attending West Virginia University this fall to major in Mechanical Engineering, a degree for which I have already completed 30+ credit hours prior to graduating high school, and I plan to follow by pursuing a master and doctorate in the science of acoustics. As mentioned above, I have also endured many terrifyingly life-y situations that are not meant for someone my age; please consider more than simply my age when reviewing this application.
This is the place you can link a screenshot of anything you made/contributed to in minecraft.
I recently reset my PC to factory standard, so I have zero screenshots at the moment. I did, however, have a "how to improve your builds"-type thread at one point with hundreds of replies and thank you's.

Description of your personality and play-style: I started playing Minecraft in Beta 1.3.01, which was back in 2011. One of my biggest focuses has always been on the incorporation of redstone into builds. Quite some time ago, I was an admin on a large survival server (about 200 players), although I stepped away from the game for a while when life-y things started happening, and the server has since shut down. Having recently gotten back into Minecraft, I'm looking for a community much like the one you describe- mature, active, and established. I like to have space to myself, but still have the option of playing with others- the balance is important to me.
Anything else you wish to share: I recently graduated from high school, which freed up a lot of time for me, as I was involved in every extracurricular activity under the sun- choir, dance, theater, academic team, national honor society, etc, etc. I currently work part-time in a Tropical Smoothie Cafe, so I am still available to play quite a bit while I'm getting dat paper. I had a perfect score on my SAT/ACT and will be attending West Virginia University this fall to major in Mechanical Engineering. I was also a semifinalist for US Presidential Scholars this year, meaning I am one of the top 500 students in the United States- so don't let my age fool you

I was about to embark on building a redstone-powered calculator to solve for the function "nCk", pronounced "n choose k", and I was wondering if anyone else had ever built one of these. For those who are not familiar with the function, it can take a certain size sample, denoted by n, and take a random group from that sample, denoted by k, and outputs the number of possible combinations. An example of how this could work is as follows:
How many different groups of 5 can be picked from 8 people?
8C5= 8!/[5!(8-5)!]= 8!/(5!*3!)= (8*7*6*5*4*3*2)/[(5*4*3*2)(3*2)]= 56 possible combinations.
This outcome could then be used to calculate probability. If you had a specific group of 5 out of the 8, its probability of occurrence would be 1/56, which is approximately equal to 1.8%.
If you have ever seen someone else build one of these, I would love to see their designs/ hear all about them!
The function is described in much greater detail in this article: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Combination
Mar 14, 2015As you can probably tell from this build, I watch my fair share of Hermitcraft. For quite some time now, I've wanted to try building something similar to Sl1pG8r's "Crown Hall" because I love the way the platform sits down inside of the support arms. I haven't exactly worked out a mode of transportation to the top in survival mode yet, but never mind that. If you have any general feedback for me, I would love to hear it!Posted in: Creative Mode
*Disregard the little arch bridge. This is my creative build world, so I have lots of little things like that scattered about.
Jul 19, 2014I've been practicing magic, sleight of hand, mentalism, cardistry, etc. for about 18 months now. Just curious as to whether anyone else here does the same.Posted in: Culture, Media & Arts
If you're unfamiliar with the term cardistry, here's a (low-quality ) video that pretty well demonstrates it in it's bare form- card flourishing.
Jul 19, 2014Theme parks are generally more about the experience than the rides themselves, although Formula Rossa is technically at a theme park because it is "Ferrari World", and Montu (I consider the best B&M Invert) is at BGT, which is themed, but Cedar Point and Alton Towers are unthemed so I could go either way.Posted in: Culture, Media & Arts

Why you want to join this server: I've been playing since 2011 and have only played long-term on one server, which recently shut down. I'm look for a new community to join where I can flourish again.
Things you like to do on minecraft: Create. I work with redstone and large builds.
Why should I pick you: Well, I'm obviously serious about joining after filling out this bloody application I can easily commit to doing things right the first time, as that's the way I was raised, and I'm funny sometimes.
Tell me about yourself: Outside of Minecraft, I sing, dance and practice sleight of hand. I work minimum wage as a host at Olive Garden, so I have loads of time to play. I work occasional parties and gatherings performing magic because it keeps gas in the car. When not working or performing, I often resort to cheating at cards to make money. It's an addiction I'm trying to turn away from and gaming has helped that a lot.
Pictures of your builds: I recently moved to a new computer, so I don't have any.
Will you help with group activities: If I'm available.
How long per day will you be on: At least 30 minutes, even on busy days. If I'm free all day, then possibly upwards of 4-6 hours.
Rate yourself on the following (1-10)
Building: I feel biased, but 7.
Teamwork: I also feel quite biased here, so I'll lowball it: 6.
Jul 15, 2014Really like the idea. It is actually applied to this massive mob farm here:Posted in: Survival Mode
In essence, the zombies walking to the center to get the villager will push all the other mobs toward the center where they will fall. Theoretically, this could be used for any overworld mob farm rather than just zombies. If you wanted the XP later, you could put water at the bottom of the drop, allowing the mobs to still clear out of the spawning area, which will then spawn more mobs.
Jul 14, 2014Age: 16Posted in: Creative Mode
Skype: PM'ing you soon.
Rating: I actually polled people I've played with in the past, and they rated me between 8 and 10.
Redstone: I'm very experienced with redstone, and currently hold two world records for the most compact contraption ("button-operated, single-block trapdoor" and "flush-with-the-wall quadruple piston extender").
Jul 14, 2014Age: 16Posted in: Creative Mode
Building skill 1-10: This is very easily biased, but I rate myself somewhere between 7 and 10. I've been playing since Beta 1.3, so I certainly have experience.
Have you ever worked with a team before?: Small amounts. Most of what I've done is solo, but I specialize in details and specific architectural structures, so having teammates makes the work look much better.
Jul 13, 2014dragongild posted a message on Offical [1.7.5] Whitelisted 100% Full Survival Server. 16+IGN: FromTheEdgePosted in: PC Servers
Why do you want to be apart of our server?: I've been playing Minecraft since before there were beds (approximately Beta 1.3), and yet I have only ever played long-term on one server. It recently shut down because the host's home was destroyed by a storm and so I'm looking for a mature community to play with long-term.
How long can you play a day?: I work part-time, so this varies quite a bit. Some days it will be less than half an hour probably, but others I could be on for upwards of six hours.
