posted a message on 1.14 1 tree island paradise

Some of you have probably heard of the 1 tree survival island challange.

Well most of you that are reading this have heard of it.

Unfortunatly the thread closed so I cannot redirect you to it.

That world was 1.13. In 1.14, there are two trees.

    I found a similar 1.14 seed.

Two extremely visible shipwrecks are near the island, as well as an ocean monument and an abundance of other islands (which are off-limits unless you are underground or looking for buried treasure.)

    Same rules apply:

-Don't gather wood on other islands.

    -Don't go to other islands.

-You can mine under other islands, as long as you do not surface.

-You can go to other islands if you are seeking buried treasure. (Or other treasure.)

    Seed: 5243826369589390190

    Good luck!

posted a message on 1.1.3 /data: "The target block is not a block entity" HELP!?!?!?

You can just use /setblock ~ ~ ~ minecraft:redstone_lamp[lit=true] for example, although I also have your problem with redstone lamps. Lamps definetely have a NBT-Tag you can change (Lit=True/False), but it just says that the Target block is not a block entity anyway.

That is not an NBT tag, it is a Bracket Thingy. Still don't know what to call it.

    But otherwise, you are correct.

posted a message on Player model location?

While the model works well, the texture wrapping does not.

Half the model looks fine, while the other half is just crazy.

However, I may end up not needing this model anyway...

Make sure that the file is encoded with "UTF-8 Without BOM". That generally fixes formatting problems like these.

    I hope that helps you.

It doesn't help, as I have no idea what you're talking about.

posted a message on how to make a texture under two enchantments

First, retexture two items. The first item is the original item texture, the second is the texture after the enchantments.

Take note of what the two items are called. For my example, I will be using kelp and seagrass.

Second, convert that to a resource pack, and put that in your resource packs folder.

Third, open Minecraft, open a world (or create a new one) and type in the following:

    /give @p command_block

Fourth, place the new item in your inventory called "Command Block" (or, well, the orange block with blinking lights).

Fifth, right click on that block and--

Sorry, all I can tell you is that this is possible, I cannot tell you the specifics.

Also, I know the first four steps. I hope this helped.

posted a message on Player model location?

I'm creating a resource pack for a map, realized I needed a player model entity, and searched for the Entity folder in Models.

Of course it wasn't there, and after reading a few threads, I realized that it is impossible to change an entity's model with a resource pack.

So I decided to go with a custom item, whose model would look like the player's, but there's only one problem:

I don't know how to create custom models. Also, the player model is unavailable, as mentioned before.

So does anyone know the location of the player model?

posted a message on Improved Levers/Buttons

(Disclaimer: All photos included are actually edited; this is not in the game yet so that's pretty much what I had to do.)

So, I was creating this map and suddenly got an idea, which was to improve the ways buttons/levers are activated. Here's a list of the ways:

    - All other triggers would stay the same.

    - Levers could be triggered by arrows, in a similar fashion to bells. (Yes, I know, we can already do this with buttons and it wouldn't add much. However, it's realistic [In a good way, of course. {In my opinion.}])

    - Buttons, similarly to pressure plates, could be triggered by someone stepping on them. However, that someone would have to be sneaking (Put your foot up to any light switch five times. How many times did you toggle the lights?)

    - Levers would be activated by someone/something falling on them (going through their hitbox while falling, in technical terms.)

    - Likewise, tripwire hooks could be activated by projectiles other than arrows.. (Not sure why, it just seems more realistic. Plus, it could be used to create a new kind of randomizer.)

    And that's all!

(More images will be in my comments.)

wait its not letting me upload the third image. :(

posted a message on Are Mojang out of their minds with the new trading mechanics?

I don't see how these new mechanics are a problem for villager trading halls AT ALL.

The only changes that will need to be made will be:

    - Add more farmers, as the other guy said already.

    - Give the villagers workstations in their respective slots.

    - Possibly add Wandering Traders to halls.

I'm not a fan of the new "restock only twice a day" mechanic, but honestly, how many trades could you get out of a villager, per day, before?

    Yes, that's what I thought.

Also, if you don't like the new trading mechanics anyway, just play on 1.13.2 and never play on a later release. It's not that hard!

posted a message on Player NOT at position?

So, I was creating a map and I ran into a problem (obv, if I hadn't I wouldn't be posting right now).

    So, the problem is:

You can detect if a player is at a certain position with the command:

    /execute if @p[x=<x>,y=<y>,z=<z>,distance=..1] run <command>

But what if you want to detect when a player is NOT at that position?

    (Sidenote: I already tried

    /execute if @p[x=!<x>,y=!<y>,z=!<z>,distance=..1] run <command>

and it did not work, I figured out why but it's difficult to explain.

Does anyone know how to do this?

posted a message on 1 tree survival island

There was this thread a while back that suddenly disappeared, 1 tree survival island. (By Turniphead, someone who seems to have deleted his account.)

Of course I named this thread after it in hopes that we could restart, but that still might not happen.

There were quite a few people on it, and I hope that one of them knows what happened..

..but I don't think anyone will.

I started posting about halfway in, and the disappearance of the thread cut my connection to others who were using the thread (Obviously) and stopped me from gaining info on.. ..certain things.

I hope everybody on the previous thread notices this, but I recognize most won't.

Anyway, if you're new to this thread, to get started on this challenge, load up a world set to Large Biomes and input the following seed:

Baseline rules (although of course you can create your own):

    No landing on other landmasses.

-When you are searching for buried treasure.

-When it is a really tiny island.

-When you are not at the surface (being underwater doesn't count for this one.)

-When you are being chased by mobs (10 or more counts.)

No taking wood from anywhere but the island, END OF STORY!!

-When the tree is a tree you planted.

Anyway, that's my attempt at starting a new "island community..."
