Made a mimic of this mod that I have tested for 1.5_01. Works . http://www.megaupload.com/?d=W6FKP4BF If any bugs just say, I dont want to make my own thread so yeah.

Awesome job! Life has gotten in the way of participating in mod development and I'd been interested in finding someone to pass the torch on to. If you want to email or PM me, I can arrange to provide you with the source code for my mods.

If you want to create your own thread, I'll modify this one to redirect traffic to your new thread.

    Thanks!

I've taken the download link down until I can determine what is causing the VerifyError after the code has been reobfuscated.

Is this an incompatibility or Just an Error?

Can you backup or remove your servers.txt file from the resources directory and try again? I'm not sure how you're getting this error to be honest. I've updated my MC and I'm not getting any such errors. This is my first encounter with a java.lang.VerifyError and the interwebs suggest it could be related to the obfuscation. I've taken down the download link while I investigate and talk to the MCP folks.

My sincerest apologizes! The correct version of SporkList should now be up. Apparently the versioned jar files I keep around got mixed up and I used 1.4 instead of 1.4_01.

Hey man, I've also created a Minecraft server listing and a mutual user of ours pointed your project out to me. Any interest in combing our two projects?

SporkList currently only supports manually inputted servers. However, I have the completed code for a Publist mod which queries a public listing similar to yours.

    Let me know!

Sorry guys! I will be updating this mod I do apologize. I was hoping to roll out my publist mod with 1.4 but have unfortunately not found the time to finish it up. In the mean time, I'll be updating sporklist to 1.4!

    Thanks

Thanks for the continued words of support! You guys make modding enjoyable!

I apologize about disappearing, I've been hard at work implementing the first integrated public server list for MC! I hope to release it shortly after 1.3_02 goes live.

Found 2 bugs(a couple days ago, and if you don't update your version title some people are not going to be happy(looks at self)):

-When opening the server select screen, the very first server is highlighted
-You can't press enter to open a server when highlighted(may only happen when above happens)

EDIT 1: Oh and while you're add it, update to the latest SPC. It's currently 2.5_1, but simo said he's getting another release out later this night.

What exactly about my title is going to upset people? It lists the correct MC version and the version of the mod. I see no problems with that.

While I'm add it? Ha! That's cute. The phrase is "While you're AT it". As for SPC, I don't use it in any way, shape, or form. I made this mod to help out people of the community; I don't get paid and unlike most modders, I don't even accept donations. How dare you tell me "While I'm at it". Where do you get off with such an attitude of entitlement? Consider your requests ignored. It's individuals like you who have no appreciation for the effort that goes into creating these things that really **** me off. I may just have to look into implementing a blacklist in my mods to keep assholes like you from enjoying FREE mods.

    little idea:
a place where you can put an IP in so you don't always have to add a new server :smile.gif:

Good idea, I'll look into it!

Erm, I like the auto run feature, but the auto-sneaky is already in the game, vanilla.
On windows, hold shift, then press alt, move the mouse, and then push a movement key.
    you will be auto-sneek :biggrin.gif:

In all of my time of going through the code I have found no formal MC support for auto/toggle sneak. You're referring to a Window's feature, therefore it is not, as you say, in vanilla MC.

Sneak Peak! I wanted to give you guys a little teaser of the feature I'm finishing up now for Sporklist.

Project Publist: The first integrated public server listing for Minecraft!

The idea was to provide an integrated public server listing for fun pub play. The Favorite button enables you to move public servers onto your multiplayer list with a single click making finding them later a breeze. For those servers you find to be more of an annoyance than fun, you have the Hide button which removes them from your public listing. Server administrators can provide useful information such as mods or rules which you can view via the Info button. Lastly, the Filter button will remain disabled in the initial release of Publist so I can spend time perfecting the filtering options.

Oh, did I mention that with simple configuration options you'll be able to point Publist to any server listing as long as they adhere to the XML schema used? While not useful for all users, I wanted to ensure that the tool remained flexible for any number of users and uses.

    Status:
    - Web service to provide servers is [Completed]
    - Minecraft GUI [Completed]
    - Load server listing [In progress]
    - Server admin portal [Pending]
    - Advanced filtering [Pending]

While I have built all of the code myself to date, I would be interested in talking to any web developers/designers who might be interested in assisting with Publist. There remain some pretty significant plans on the table and plenty of challenges for those looking for some excitement.

Would love to hear feedback, especially on the UI layouts.

This is my first mod, so I just want to ask something: If I uninstall this, will all my worlds be safe to play?

I know how to install mods, but I just want to clear that up.

By the way: Awesome mod! There's a reason I chose this one to install first. :Diamond:

Your worlds will be perfectly safe. This mod does not touch them in any way.

    Hey there,

I have a suggestion for the READ ME file. You have a very complicated installation method for mac and I have found a simpler one.

1.Open Terminal and copy this code in.
    cd ~
    mkdir mctmp
    cd mctmp
    jar xf ~/Library/Application\ Support/minecraft/bin/minecraft.jar

2.Press enter then open a new finder window and goto your username and click on mctmp.

    3. Copy files from Sporklist into the mctmp folder and replace the files it asks for.

4.Go Back to terminal and type this code to close the folder.
    rm META-INF/MOJANG_C.*
    jar uf ~/Library/Application\ Support/minecraft/bin/minecraft.jar ./
    cd ..
    rm -rf mctmp

    5.Open Minecraft and enjoy.

Do you mind if I use your steps? I'll certainly give you credit.

Can you answer to whether you can add a toggle for the new autosneak? (Or make two separate versions, one with, one without)? Or I can keep using the previous version, that's fine...

But also, will you need to make it modloader compatible? I'm concerned about the shared class file.

I can add a menu option for the toggle sneak. I'll look into that today. As for the shared class file, it really isn't much of a concern. It's the file that manages the options menu; the conflict would make some option(s) not appear but wouldn't harm your game. I will look into modloader and whether it's worth releasing two versions of Auto Run.

    Quote from Lucid »

So it would be really nice if you could make a key-toggle allowing to switch
between "auto run forward" and "auto-run-backwards mode" and adjust
it accordingly ( can be engaged while running back, stops when pressing forward key, the usual stuff xD).

PM me and we can talk about what you're looking for.

    Quote from Mulletlord »
Just downloaded, and it's exactly what I've been looking for. Thanks :Diamond:

The toggle sneak functionality however doesn't seem to work for me. Can't figure out why.

What seems to be the problem?
