posted a message on Thaumic Horizons v1.1.9 (Thaumcraft 4 addon)

I was testing out using Vortex Attenuators to stabilize a pair or hungry so that I could use a Teleological Recombination to make them bigger and I discovered a bug.

When you use a Vortex Attenuator on a jared node the node in the jar will transform, when you then open the jar the node will permanently change to become a normal node.
This also happens when a transvective dislocator from thaumic tinkerer (and probably any other tile entity moving device) moves the node that the Vortex Attenuator is aimed at.

posted a message on [1.8.9] Router Reborn 1.1.6
I am using Version 1.1.14. If this has been changed already I am sorry I did not see anything about it in the change log.

I tried using routers to setup a storage system with a bunch of Thermal Expansion Caches but it is giving me some trouble due to the order it travels to the next machine. The storage system itself is a 16x5x16 room with 3 of the walls covered in caches and one with a bunch of chests and other storage devices for items that caches are not efficient for.

The Routers expands its network in such a way that a machine 10 blocks away on the X axis (east-west) is closer than a machine 1 block away on the Y axis (up-down), and a machine 10 blocks away on the Y axis is closer than a machine 1 block away on the Z axis (north-south).

Would it be possible to add an upgrade that would switch the favored axis, or to make the router expand its network based on closeness.[/p]

posted a message on Thaumic Horizons v1.1.9 (Thaumcraft 4 addon)

I just found out about Thaumic Horizons and I love the new features it adds. :D

I did notice a few bugs regarding the evanescent lens, first when using the dislocation wand from Thaumic Tinkerer and dislocating the invisible block the other 8 blocks flash visible then invisible, its a bit of a weird visual glitch. The second but causes the world to become corrupted, if you grab an invisible block in creative mode and place it the game crashes and the world will not work again.

There is one thing that bugs me a bit, the mirrored amulet costs so much to make. A few other mods include items with similar effects that are much easier to get, for example in Twilight Forest the Charm of Keeping III can be got by either cloning slimes, or by traversing a maze (even an already visited one) with a looting 3 sword for maybe 20 minutes. I don't mind it needing a primal pearl as a catalyst but consuming it just seems expensive.

The golem focus also seems a bit too cheep (especially with frugal 5) and fast in making golems, and it makes golems that are equal or better than the standard thaumcraft golems.
I doubt it would be easy to do but it would be funny if brainy golems had a chance to steal the wand and try to start the golem uprising.

posted a message on Thaumcraft 6.1.BETA26 [no longer being developed]
I upgraded to the newest version of Thaumcraft recently and I am a bit upset that there is no config option to make warp stay like it did in the earlier versions of thaumcraft. Does anyone know if we will get the ability to set that any time soon?

On the topic of warp I also don't really notice the extra warp I get from having a full set of Void Robes, but maybe that’s just me. It just makes it hard to feel like I'm a dangerous thaumaturge pushing the boundaries of what humans can possibly know and magic itself when warp does so little. I get attacked by a few eldrich maybe every hour or so but nothing really threatening or scary happens, especially since I have enchanted my robes with Repair, Thorns and Protection and can LITERALLY chest bump the eldrich to death without swinging my sword or wand. It would be cool to get some more dangerous lovecraftien problems as you get higher warp.

Maybe it just because I have Thaumic Tinkerer and Thaumic Horizons but it feels like there should be more.[/p]

posted a message on CubeX2's Mods - All mods available for 1.8.9
Thank you CubeX2 for your wonderful Custom Stuff 2 mod.

I am a bit of a newbie to using it and am having some trouble.
Every shaped recipe that I add shows up as a blank crafting grid in NEI, and every shapeless recipe shows up as a single block of stone in the upper left corner.
I also tried downloading the Stained Wood mod from the wiki and it suffered the same issue http://minecraftmodc...ki/Stained_Wood

Am I doing something wrong or using the wrong version or is this feature not implemented yet?
I am using customStuff2-0.10.6b-universal and about 60 other mods that I like.

Are you tired of some the the annoying “features” in MineCraft. So was I until I learned to mod, now I drive 2 Ferraris at once while drinking 500 year old wine and smoking Cuban cigars.

    [1.5.2]
Map Fix – Patches MC standard maps to allow more than 4 icons at the same time
Download at www.humenet.net/Minecraft/Doom_Lad_Mods/MapFix/axi.class (MC & Forge)

    Map Fix
Maps in MC are drawn ever so slightly below the icons, however when more than 4 icons are present the fifth and above get drawn behind the map, this forces all icons to be drawn at the same layer preventing that issue, but causing icons that are touching to blur.
To install simply put in your Minecraft.jar file, this is a client side mod and is not needed on servers.

    Copyright and Mod Packs
    GPL and Yes
Credits please if you use it.

I searched [Book case secret] and came up with only a few results, including one that suggested adding a lever to book cases.
    Am I searching wrong?

It would be cool if you could combine a bookcase and a door to make a secret door that looks like a bookcase.

Note- I am playing on a snow map with max view and full everything.

    I will hit about 60fps
I have windows 7 and a very capable pc.

That may have to do with windows 7, I have seen it clamp some applications to 60 fps even when they could run faster, I use XP on my main computer and Alpha runs at 200 fps with everything at max.

yeah, I've been looking through the support session and it seems that this is happening to a lot of folks using intel based GPUS after the last update, maybe notch updated the LWJGL libraries and that introduced this problem, but that's just me speculating.

Unfortunately there isn't a fix for it as of now.

Ok that makes sence, hopefully there will be a fix so that I play it when I'm not at home.

Didn't eeePC's have pretty lackluster (on-board) graphics cards? It might be that your eeePC is not good enough to run Minecraft. (Not supporting certain things, like I don't know, maybe some shader techniques or something)

It has a gma 500, which I used to to some shader 3.0 programming, so its not that bad.

    Edit:
    Quote from Nurio »
It's as I said. To even be able to run, it needs support for a few things. First of all, it needs support for OpenGl. It also might need some support for certain shader techniques.

I remember once trying to install a standard Lego game on my semi-high-end computer and it wouldn't install saying my graphics card is not good enough. Confused, I looked it up and it appeared my graphics card didn't have support for some arbitrary shading technique that the Lego game needed.

The reason it requires shader is because programmers use shaders to do diferent bits of processing, becasue GPU's can do some stuff faster than CPU's.

I am trying to run minecraft on my eeePC and I am having trouble.
I can start and login, but then I get a vido error.

    I have an eeePC T91
It has a built in Intel GMA 500, a 16 gb ssd, 1 gb ram, and virtual memory disabled.

Here is the message I get,

          Bad video card drivers!
          -----------------------

Minecraft was unable to start because it failed to find an accelerated OpenGL mode.
This can usually be fixed by updating the video card drivers.
