    removing the configs did not alter the blocks in the world in any way. as kafka suggested, it is possible when you attempted to load it and continued past that point (previous to our help) you created an id mismatch. i have done nothing but attempt to help you in the most reasonable way. please direct your anger elsewhere and have a good day.

    An easy way to check if your mods are still there is to access the main menu and go to mods.

    Another way, if you enabled cheats on that world, is to hop onto creative and check your creative inventory. If the items in the inventory and hotbar simply disappeared, and the items are in the creative inventory, it could be because you removed those mods and (attempted) to start Minecraft.

    no it should have generated a new config already when you put the mods back in. unfortunately, when you loaded it past the screen that said "blah blah blah is missing do you wish to continue" you erased some blocks placed in the world. they will have stopped existing. (she could always cheat them back in). but do you mean to say that a few items that were placed in the world are no longer there? or that ALL the modded items were gone. nothing about erasing the config folder and regenerating it would have caused any loss of world items, but i suppose its possible that the save files themselves were altered by your upgrade.

    on a side note, the whole thing is pretty weird because the original thing i quoted, "Unknown character ' ' in 'C:/Users/Chastity/AppData/Roaming/.minecraft/config/BiblioCraft.cfg:1"
    Actually says there is an extra blank space character ' ' in the config file causing it to not read correctly. I guess its possible that updating to win8 did it, and hey, im taking your word for it, but this type of error is more frequently a typo than a system failure. its a weird thing indeed though, ill be interested to see if there are more reports like this when more ppl move to win8.

    modpacks are never as stable as vanilla (regular) minecraft, and even in regular minecraft we lose items sometimes when there are updates, glitches, etc. so even at seven, thats a fact of life with this game that she'll have to learn. luckily, we have a great community to help us through it :Notch:

    looks like something happened to her configuration files causing a formatting error. instead of disabling the mods, back up the current 'config' folder to another location like the desktop(just in case), now delete the 'config' folder from her .minecraft folder. rerun minecraft. you May get id conflicts from that, but if she put all the mods in there to begin with, she should know how to deal with that. you should even try putting pams and flowers back in the mods folder before trying. if they worked before they should work again.

    this is definitely a mobspawning issue

    given that orespawn adds 60+ mobs to the world, i dont find it terribly surprising. in glancing through the list of mods there you have other mods that also generate mobs such as arsmagica2, HarkenScythe and probably others, i just skimmed. I would try disabling the other mob-generating mods one by one until you get a successful load of it, then once you know which one is conflicting (my money is on ars) you can see if you can reassign the mobs through the configs.

    maybe you changed some configs clientside (to fix id conflicts etc) and didnt change them on the server
    try deleting (first back up) the configs folder on the server, then copy the configs folder you have clientside onto the server (you can remove the client only configs for the clientmods you removed, although it wont effect anything if the extra cfgs are there) then try restarting the server and joining.
    also, is the server map a newly generated one you can easily trash? or is it something you are attached to? if you dont care about the map, try starting a whole new world with your copied config folder. if you continue to have the error, please pastebin your client log from when you try to connect. you could also give an exact list of what your screen says when you cannot connect.
    if your problem is not fixed, also tell me. are you using mcpc+ or a forge jar to run the serverside?

    some mod in your pack is causing faulty mob spawning. my money is on either LotsOMobs or Breeds{1.6.4 v5} [ModBreeds] (BetterBreeds 1.6.4 v5.zip)
    which i see in your log.

    in beginning of your post i see Packet24MobSpawn.func_73279
    suggesting this issue has to do with your mobspawning. try disabling one or both of these mods.

    if the error persists, set your world to peaceful mode and start it again to see if you can wipe the board of mobs.

    have you installed All 4 mod jars that make up mekanism in 1.6.4? (these are mdk, mekanism, mekanismtools, and mekanismgenerators)
    if the answer is no, try putting all in first. if the answer is yes, and you are still having the issue, can you please post your client log as well as the crash report?

    pro tip: you are breaking the rules of a lot of those mods you Claim to have permission for by distributing with adfocus. most of their license (ic2 bc cc forestry ae and others) have very specific rules in their legal sections against adfly-type downloads. do whatever you like, but you are very obviously and blatantly selling-for-ads an unlicensed pack against the wishes of almost every modder in there. no offense, but id remove those adfly links before you get in trouble. cheers

    I would like to use your Mod in a 1.6.2 Pack, meeting your license criteria, here is the following information:

    Is it public or private?
    At the moment, the pack is whitelisted to beta testers/youtubers only. Downloads are hidden/password protected while I wait for All of the mods to come to reasonably stable versions, while I acquire permissions, and while we work the serverside bugs out.
    In the future, when all modders have given permission, (about 90% there already) we will open it as a public pack to be run both client and server sides.

    Description:
    This pack is two parts tech, one part OP-weapons and armor, one part fantasy/scifi. I run servers for Direwolf20Pack, Ultimate Pack, and New World Pack. I believe I have a fair understanding of what is desired both on the client and the server side. I'm trying to max out fun here while using polished and frequently updated mods to try to add server-side calmness.

    Estimated Users:
    Hardest question by far. I'd like to start with ten in beta, grow to 100 as a private pack, and then, when public....well, how many people are there in the world now?...all of them.

    Include a text file with Mods, Authors, Links, Permissions, Etc:
