So, due to laziness I haven't read the other posts before me, so please forgive if I post bugs that have already been mentioned. I did though glance through them as I scrolled down, and I kept seeing people mention a bug that makes it so the game doesn't save when you hit Exit and Save, so, I tested it. I tested it twice because someone said that it was a problem being connected to wifi. So, I tested it on wifi, and without wifi (restarting the game each time to make sure that it connected to PSN/making sure that it didn't). Both times it saved my game - where I was at, what I had in my inventory, and the world around me. So, I don't know why some people have that glitch, but, yeah, idk.
Anywho, next I'd like to mention a few obvious problems. FPS, draw distance, resolution, and vita optimization.
First, FPS, no matter where you are, is, well, it's playable, but it's not what I payed $19.99 for. It's never smooth, it's always a bit jittery. This leads into the vita optimization, that this game isn't optimized that well for the Vita, which I hope is fixed in coming updates. The draw distance is also a problem - you can barely see anywhere. On superflat worlds, its especially horrible, and pretty noticable. I placed out blocks to measure the distance of how far you can see, and it's pathetic. Not counting the chunk you're on, you see 4 chunks in any direction, which is equal to a render distance of 4. That is extremely sad, due to what the Vita is capable of. The PS3/Xbox 360 versions have a render distance of 8 (chunks), and the Vita version was said to be nearly identical to the PS3 version, except for minor adjustments for stability. For one, splitting the draw distance in half isn't minor. I mean, it's sad when someone can pull out a 7 year old iPod touch that they got for 50 bucks, and play Minecraft on it (Minecraft, that they also got for almost a third of the price of the Vita Edition) and have it outperform the vita in almost every way (I'm talking about performance, not gameplay). Secondly, it's not even that stable! Crappy framerate, low draw distance, and either the incorrect resolution, or low textured files. The only problem with the resolution/texture files is with the inventory and other huds. Everything in your inventory and crafting is pixelated worse than it is in the actual game. It's worse if you increase the hud size.
Anyway, sorry for the rant, it's just not what I expected after months of hard work, delays, and $20.
/endrant
Other than whats mentioned in the rant, I've got a few bugs that I can just simply list off.
-Swiping in opposite directions with both hands (touchscreen) in the skin select menu crashes it. Also happens if you swipe too fast in one direction.
-Ghost blocks (blocks stay there after you mine them and pick them up, you even have the block in your inventory and can walk through it physically).
-Sometimes a render delay after you break a block - I've only seen this happen a couple of times, but sometimes when I'm breaking blocks, the block disappears, and I can see the whole world through that hole where the block was. It renders the blocks behind it in about 1-2 seconds afterwards.
-Mobs (friendly and, well, the bad ones both) sometimes teleport around when they're moving, almost as if you're playing on a server with a lot of lag. Usually happens to me when I hit a friendly mob, and when moves around fast to run away, it's kinda teleporting and hard to hit.
-Sometimes when mining blocks, the breaking animation doesn't appear on the block. Only happens sometimes, and it depends on where you're standing. If you move and look at it at a different angle, the animation is there.
-Nether portal visual effects are glitchy. Your screen (excluding hud) gets twisted and warped too far down on the screen, unlike other versions of Minecraft.
-Using the touch screen to switch items on the hotbar doesn't work right - instead of tapping the box that you want to switch to, you have to touch the area above the box. I don't know if that's meant to be, but I don't like it.
That's all that I can think of right now, if I find anything else, I'll edit this post and add onto it. No point in making a new post every time I find a new bug. I won't even make a new post (nor edit this one) to respond to people arguing/fighting/discussing. This isn't a place for that, this is just a place to report bugs and glitches. If you have thoughts on anything I just said, message me about it
-djdevilmonkey (Played Minecraft before it was cool... 2010 bro.)
Edit: I'm kinda adding onto what I said a few lines above about not arguing/fighting/discussing - don't call people out just because they reported a bug that has already been reported. ESPECIALLY, don't make a new post solely to call them out (just sayin' that because I saw that several times). They're just trying to help, boo hoo if the same bug was reported twice. And since they're just trying to help, it's not their job to read through the whole thread and find every bug that was reported, then cross-reference that list with their list of bugs, and debate what to report or not. The more things that are reported, the better (Sorta. It's not good that bugs are reported, but it's good that they're reported if there are any so that they can get fixed). And if it's just an easy task of typing out what bugs they found on here, without reading prior posts, then more people will do it. They'd be discouraged to report bugs because of how time consuming it is it go through all of the posts that have already been made.
I predict that this will be the most downloaded PS Vita game to surpass Killzone: Mercenary.
That seems to be a pretty accurate prediction because that's what has happened with all of the other console Minecraft has been released on lol (It's become #1 game)
We have added support for Ad Hoc networking, and yes, all platforms will be on the same update.
Due to different submission processes, we won't know the order that updates will release, but we're aiming to submit across all platforms at the same time.
I actually have a second question. People keep mentioning remote play with the PS4 and PS Vita, but what would be the point of that if its already coming out on vita?
Yeah, what is the point of Remote Play for the PS4 version if there will be a PS Vita version? A nice thing is sprinting on the PS Vita version won't be awkward as Minecraft just requires you to push the left stick up rapidly 2 times to run. I would like to know how mining and switching items in the hot-bar will work (since there's no R2 and L2 and only shoulder buttons)
They might have it work like they did in terraria, L1 for placing blocks, R1 Destroying blocks/mining, and using the touch screen to tap on the boxes on the hotbar to switch items, or tapping on the left/right part of the screen. (Reference to terraria controls: http://s22.postimg.org/6sldxfqgh/Terraria.png )
There are several youtube videos with gameplay of the Vita edition, you can go look there, because i'm defiantly not positive on what I said above lol, that would just be a prediction :/
Edit: After going over countless videos of vita gameplay, the only way i have seen someone switch items through their hotbar is to have them tap the box with their finger. Now i hope this changes and isn't how it will be in release. Also I saw that the touchscreen doesn't work at all in inventory or crafting menu, idk about main menu. So, you have to use the buttons and thumbsticks to navigate the inventory and crafting menu, and im pretty sure that its the same deal with the main menu and pause menu, but i'm not sure about that part.
Update / Edit 3: God damn broken forums, i spent 10 minutes typing out Edit 2 and hit save changes and it didn't save, so now i have to type it ALL OUT AGAIN. I wish they never would have upgraded to this new crap forum :/
Anyway, after digging on the internet i found out the Official controls for the Minecraft Playstation Vita Edition.
-------
L1 - Use (Open Chests, Place Blocks)
R1 - Action (Attack, Destroy Blocks)
Triangle - Inventory
Square - Crafting
X - Jump
Circle - Drop
Left Thumbstick - Move/Sprint
Right Thumbstick - Look
Select - Players/Invite
Start - Pause DPad Left/Right - Cycle Held Item (Touchscreen can also be used to select held item by tapping hotbar boxes)
DPad Down - Sneak (Unknown if you hold it down, or if its toggle, or if theres a setting to change that)
DPad Up - Unbound
-------
So yeah, after hours of digging and typing this twice, here it is :-D
And I know that you can use the touchscreen for switching your held items on your hotbar, but i believe that is it. I know it doesn't work in Inventory or Crafting, but i'm pretty sure you cannot use it in Main Menu/Pause Menu.
What ever happened to the community creations banner that was made by the community, the one thats supposed to be on every community creations post. There was a vote like a year ago on it.
Especially with it at disney land... if they are going to serve alcohol WTF? dont get it? let me repeat, **clears throat** DISNEY LAND A.K.A. THE PALACE OF KIDS.. still dont get it? **clears throat even more** DISNEY LAND... KIDS!
Why have do that at disneyland? If it was regular minecon like 2011 where it was at vegas, i would understand an 18+ thing because that is not disneyland and not necessarily for kids.
So... what is it? alcohol? sex? nudity? anything like that? or is it just to get away from the kids... if thats so here are some tips:
1. Parent: DONT BRING YOUR KIDS!
2. Minecon Hosts: DONT ALLOW KIDS!
-If you do any of the reasons above, why make it at disney land?
Bottom Line: Just Let the Kids go to the 18+ Things, or just remove it like all kids and most parents would agree. Because disneyland, kids, minecon, and an 18+ activity? ESPECIALLY A PARTY! KIDS LOVE PARTYS!
IMPORTANT! PLEASE READ!

Nope :C No cross-platform multiplayer on the vita :C The only way to play with someone on PE is if you also have PE.
