I don't want the option to disallow multiplayer on my single player worlds... I want the option to KEEP MY SINGLE PLAYER WORLDS, SINGLE PLAYER. I don't want to have to connect to a glitchy server to play single player, I like to be able to play even without an internet connection. It is NOT much hassle just to copy a single player world into a server folder if you want people to join. Who cares about lazy people, they're lazy...
yea, it's too early to tell but I do hope they optimize and bug hunt the server side more so. Experiencing mild block lag and general mp bugs in a single player world sucks. Even though the server side is hosted locally on your computer the server can still experience performance issues. The ones not complaining are the ones most likely that have high spec'd machines. I did notice a mild fps increase and some chunk loading increase, but also have experienced some block lag at times and half rendered npc villages.
One unified code base is a good thing, but experiencing things that happen in SMP in a SSP world is a turn off.
Only time will tell...

there is issues with optifine and btw with hd textures, specifically the handheld items like weapons. the creator of optifine is aware of it and it is caused by the forge support in optifine. Optifine thinks it is a full forge install and tries to do the forge support which breaks the textures.

always install optifine last, it does work with the mod.

asking about mod updates is against the forum rules. '-NO asking for mods to update.' Mod developers find it very annoying.

timing is everything for sure, I ended up switching back to the old temperature scale in the config file. That helped with timing it right. Definitely tedious work.

Amazing how the internet has diminished peoples abilities to take time and read. RTFM!

start with a fresh minecraft.jar and go through the install process, and delete the config directory and restart a new world. Thats what i usually do for beta stuff.

did you delete your old beta 1H tfc.cfg file like the op says with every new update? I did that and the support beam bug happened and this was a fresh jar install fresh directory, swapped back my beta 1H cfg file instead of the default beta 1i cfg file and it fixed it. However any new id's that bioxx might have added in beta 1i will not exist due to an old cfg file.bioxx, thank you for the hotfix.
